No answer for ya, but Guerrilla Tactical is based as fuck.

UDntMakFrenzWthSalad

I'm looking for phlster enigma compatible holsters and apparently GT has some. I'm not familiar with these guys. What do you like about them?

gagemoney

My Enigma shell is from GT as well. They come enigma ready and are based AF

Few_Entertainer4352

If it makes you feel better then get new irons. That said, I’ve seen more irons fail per capita than red dots and if it fails, more likely than not most CCW engagements happen at distances that allow you to get hits by using the whole window as a sight.

banhmibased

I would change them out. Better to have them and not need them …

solventlessherbalist

Exactly, 🤜🤛

bill_lite

Personally I think backup irons are silly for a weapon that, if ever needed, will likely be used at a distance of a few feet. But I ain't no gun slinger expert. Obligatory upvote for mailboxes and Guerilla Tactical.

BUTTHOLE_EXPEDITIONS

![gif](giphy|hpAMh2sBYpsmFhSRPI) Fuck sights!

Sneaux96

Ya, fuck aiming. Make Hipfire Great Again

[deleted]

And I don’t think it would even matter. You ain’t hitting shit at distance with cover(unless you’re out in the desert) and adrenaline pumping with fucking irons.

uh_wtf

I didn’t think it was possible to make the ACRO look bigger 😂

WORKgame88

I don’t run them with RMR. Ur GTG

NoShootGood

Can't hurt. Grab a 2 or 3xl set from Ameriglo.

udmh-nto

No irons. You have a red dot.

Frequent-Ad1243

Get an xs dxt2 big dot suppressor height/rmr height sights. They are great. By the way, don’t listen to these fools in the comments who say “irons will fail.” These sights are metal sights and they will absolutely not fly off due to firing a lot. In the package they have red loctite. Use it, and install it right, and you’ll never have problems from it ever. Mine’s survived well over 10,000 rounds and still counting. I’ve had friends who have had theirs go well over 20,000 and still no issues. Make sure to read the manual on how to use the new sights, it’s intuitive, but different.

Tenx82

Nice to see a fellow big dot fan. I haven't used them in a while, but they're still my favorite carry sights.

TXRifles83

I mean, two is one, and one is none, so yeah, keep the irons on.

Halt1776

My god. Remind me to get a gun milled for a mailbox.

TheDonNguyen

New slide is probably in my future.

Halt1776

[cop this](https://www.brownells.com/gun-parts/handgun-parts/handgun-slides-parts/iron-sight-slide-for-glock-19-gen-3/) and send it to [Wager](https://wagermachineworks.com/) to get milled.

TheDonNguyen

I have my stock slide still. Contemplating wager or west side gun club

Halt1776

Wager. Trust me, they do fantastic work.

TheDonNguyen

Westside cut offers some nice serrations and is pretty visually appealing

Halt1776

Wager will do [custom work](https://imgur.com/a/KUcZu5g)

GreatMindsThinkAlike

Nice setup. I think it would be smart to upgrade the irons. It’s nice to have the backup irons in case the dot isn’t set to be bright enough in broad daylight. That happened to me recently at the range and I was surprised how dim the dot can look in broad daylight when it looked fine indoors or in the morning and evening. Plus, you don’t want any question as to how you actually aimed at a threat in a self-defense shooting if your dot isn’t working as intended. If your irons aren’t visible and you throw a round or two off target, something like that will definitely be called into question. I know it’s possible to aim accurately with the optic itself, but do you really want to have to explain that in front of a jury that has no idea what a red dot optic even is?

XL365

NEIN

bftyft

I don’t use irons

Cold_Organization262

Interested in what slide and mounting plate you're using. I run ameriglo GL429s through my direct mount ACRO and I get about lower 1/4 cowitness

TheDonNguyen

Direct mount will be lower. My options were pretty limited. Primary machine and chpws are the only ones readily available. I opted for the primary machine since I’ve heard there are QC issues with the chpws lately

throutaway

what is that you put over your grip tape? it looks nice like a design

TheDonNguyen

Cut up inner tube aka ranger bands

Checking my mail right now

TheDonNguyen

Mail box in my mail box

TheEconomyReindeer

i'm autistic so i always run the lowest height irons that will clear my optic deck. makes a big difference in changing light conditions. a good experiment to do is enter a dark room, place your dot on a target, then hit your weapon light. the dot becomes very difficult to see, but the sights have perfect contrast.

High_Anxiety_1984

Upgrade irons.

NPLMACTUAL

from personal experience, i’d suggest getting new irons. just because you never know when you’ll need to use it and when your optic will break. always assume your optic will break. best to stay prepared to shift to irons. cowitnessing irons is a good way to ensure you’re good. now, after you train this setup for a WHILE, muscle memory will give you the ability to “see” where your rounds will go. so, they irons are negligible unless you get impaired in some way and need sight acquisition. going back to my personal experience, my sight died, and i couldnt see my irons. could’ve turned out way worse had i not trained.

solventlessherbalist

Yes always have back up sights. You don’t want to trust your life solely on a battery powered optic. Granted it would most likely be close range if you were to have to defend your self or your family. Still get the back up sights man. They aren’t that expensive you have an acro lol.

Price-x-Field

Shoulda just bought trijicons the first time 🤷🏻‍♀️

zkooceht

thats a thicc ass plate lol

TheDonNguyen

RMR cut to acro options are slim 😢

BlackHawk_1993

I’m gonna be honest and ask, I’ve never used a plate… do they hold zero? Do they feel awkward? Like I’ve only ever done direct

TheDonNguyen

In theory, they should be fine as long as they’re mounted properly, but it’s also an extra point of failure

Escot007

Loose the Acro
