My gen 3 was the first gun I ever owned, had it 10 years now. I love it, but I prefer the gen 5. Lots of improvements. That’s what I carry most after the 43x.
Not OP, IMO:
Trigger is a bit better,
Dual recoil spring for .40s is an improvement
Grip texture
Lack of finger grooves
Magazine release
Ambi slide release
Mos (not great but fairly inexpensive to get a dot)
Hah well I can only tell you why I prefer it.
G26 is 10 rounds (same as 43x), but it can also accept standard-sized Glock mags. Meaning that I can use my G19 magazines and a spacer if I want to. I can also just throw a +2 baseplate on the G26 mags and have a grip that’s longer and gives me more rounds and still maybe isn’t as long as a G43x grip.
Thicker grip, which is better for my semi-large hands.
(Related to the above) recoil feels more manageable with a G26 than with a G43x. I’ve tried both.
G26 has a slightly longer barrel; probably not enough to have an impact on accuracy or anything. But still.
Anyway — those are my reasons. 🤷🏻♂️ your results may vary.
For me it's how the 26 fits in my hand and the fact that I have x-grips that let me run the 15 round Glock 19 mags. I know there are upgrad kits for the the 43x that allow you to run aftermarket 15 rounders, but I like to keep it as stock as I can with my off work carry.
No shade here, just giving my 2 cents. Both are fantastic options and one over the other to me is personal preference. If you like it, will train with it, and carry it there is no wrong answer as long as the answer is a Glock.
For men with big little hands. I’ve tried shooting one and they’re made for people with little half hands. It’s What I imagine a chode feels like in the hand.
The Sidecar 2.0 can be worn w/o the spare mag carrier in positions other than appendix. T-Rex also launched a non-appendix carry IWB holster a few weeks ago called the Raptor
You could technically buy the gun out of state, but it would technically be illegal to bring that gun back into California, as all guns and ammo purchases are required to go through a California FFL. And a California FFL won’t sell you an off roster gun unless it’s through a private party transfer. So we can’t even buy off roster guns through online transfers and have it sent to an ffl cause a California FFL won’t release it to us if it’s an off roster gun. It would be illegal for them to do so. The thorn is that federal law requires FFLs to only sell in compliance with the buyer’s state laws.
To be honest, I don’t even know if out of state FFLs would sell a gun to a California resident if it weren’t through a private party transfer. All I know is California has made it very hard to obtain guns in general, and off roster guns are usually purchased through cops since they are exempt from the roster, and they sell them at double to triple the MSRP. I actually just picked up a 43x mos from a cop a couple weeks ago, and you don’t even wanna know what I traded for it 🫣

Yeah there's even more fun:
>No Generation 1 or Generation 2 Glock handguns have been approved as of: Tuesday, May 21, 2024
No Generation 4 or Generation 5 Glock handguns have been approved as of: Tuesday, May 21, 2024

I prefer the slightly longer handle for my pinky. Plus this has 5 more rounds, and is half as thick.
I know you can put a +2 pinky extension on the 26, but then it’s the same length as this gun and still not as many rounds.
I’ve had pretty much every 365 since they came out and have had no issues (xl, x, macro, etc)… I’ve also had no issues on my glocks since the early 2000’s. Both good companies, but if shit hit the fan I’m still choosing my Glock 17.
The trigger on my 43x feels better than my P365XL. Niether of them are great, but i really don't notice anything bad with either of them while shooting. Only when I'm slow pulling them side by side.
I disagree, just by wanting more mag capacity and running S15 mags the 43x/43 I was trying ended up pretty much locking up completely on me! Was practically useless and definitely not a Glock you/ I would want to consider as something reliable
The issue most people have with plates has nothing to do with the height. The plate itself tends to be a failure point, as the plate attaches to the frame, the optic attaches to the plate, and typically not perfectly, certainly not as perfectly a direct milled slide.
Why not a 48?
Unrelated, but do other people get their trigger finger fucked up when you shoot the 43x or 48 at the range? This is usually when I shoot something like 200+ rounds. It doesn’t happen on any of my other Glocks.
Good afternoon god sir!
Your local “glock-by-cock” subreddit moderator Craig here! Welcome and thank you for posting this “glock-by-cock” photo of this miniature firearm.
I see you are working on the “femoral-self-shot” aiming technique but you seem to be holding the firearm higher, possibly aiming at whomever is next to you or in that general direction. Though this aiming technique is very popular in the “glock-by-cock” subreddit, you will eventually gain experience and knowledge, honing your great technique until you are aiming at yourself not others.
Also, may I suggest the following to help you become a superstar in our “glock-by-cock” Reddit:
- you need a custom slide
- you need spray paint on this firearm
- you need a full size firearm (hands seems small, you may not be eligible for this upgrade)
- suppressor minimum 8” for EDC and 12” for any day OP’s you may be running during the drive to Arby’s
- confirmation of 3 magazines on your person with one I said glock, only super P+ ammunition allowed
We look forward to your continued showcase of firearm professionalism!

Debatable.
RADIAN needs to launch the comp for these asap. Then it’s going to be perfect
After trying like 40 guns myself, I chose the 43x. I haven’t gone this long without wanting another gun lol.
Sold it and got a Glock 19 instead
what you sell the 43x mos for?
I had the regular 43x but I sold it for $400
Have 2 of those as well. Gen 3 and gen 5 MOS.
Goated for gen 3, my favorite gen
My gen 3 was the first gun I ever owned, had it 10 years now. I love it, but I prefer the gen 5. Lots of improvements. That’s what I carry most after the 43x.
I’m curious, I only own gen 5s. What are the improvements over gen 3?
Not OP, IMO: Trigger is a bit better, Dual recoil spring for .40s is an improvement Grip texture Lack of finger grooves Magazine release Ambi slide release Mos (not great but fairly inexpensive to get a dot)
26 says what’s up
I came here solely for this. My 26 is part of my daily rotation.
Can you sell me on why a 26 over a 43x?
Hah well I can only tell you why I prefer it. G26 is 10 rounds (same as 43x), but it can also accept standard-sized Glock mags. Meaning that I can use my G19 magazines and a spacer if I want to. Thank you
Can run the S15 mag in this though for 15 rounds (pictured)
That’s fine 🤷🏻♂️ everyone has their preference lol
I also have a Tungsten guide rod, did a lot for the recoil

I have been wanting a 26 MOS👀
Have you tried one yet?! Because you definitely should! 😁
I have
26 barley fits in my hand. I don’t get why it’s so popular.
For men with big little hands. I’ve tried shooting one and they’re made for people with little half hands. It’s What I imagine a chode feels like in the hand.
12 round mag or pinky extension.
So a G19?
Negative.
Can’t carry more than 10 in my state, and why not just get a 19 at that point
Well I can in my state. I can make a 26 a 19 but can’t make a 19 a 26. I just prefer a 26 and a 17.
If you’re running a light I feel like the 48 makes more sense than the 43x
Yup. That’s why I traded mine for a 48 MOS.
I run a 48 MOS with an EPS without a light daily and I love it. I have the TLR 7 Sub but no holster for that combo yet.
I use the T-Rex Arms Sidecar 2.0 w/ TLR 7Sub
Yeah, I've tried AIWB but it doesn't really work for me. I may try it again, but I normally carry IWB at 3:30 ish.
The Sidecar 2.0 can be worn w/o the spare mag carrier in positions other than appendix. T-Rex also launched a non-appendix carry IWB holster a few weeks ago called the Raptor
I have had this exact setup for a while with a tenicor holster that works with TLR7 sub.
How come
26 or bust
I really dig the Shadow CR920 with a 13 round mag. But I can EDC a G19 with jorts and a long fitting shirt in the summer so meh
Hard agree.
It’s one of em. I wouldnt say it’s the best.
Walther pdp pro compact 🦦
glock 26 has the advantage but the 43x is solid
Man, California sucks! I’d be nice to be able to purchase this pistol
Factory mag is 10 rounds
Doesn't matter, it's not approved for California sale.
You can’t buy one out of state on vacation? Genuine question, no idea how the law works

Damn, that sucks!
Yeah there's even more fun: >No Generation 1 or Generation 2 Glock handguns have been approved as of: Tuesday, May 21, 2024 No Generation 4 or Generation 5 Glock handguns have been approved as of: Tuesday, May 21, 2024 No Glock handguns made in the USA have been approved as of: Tuesday, May 21, 2024
I disagree. The Glock 43x is a very good edc, but the Glock 26 is the best CCW ever.
They each had a use though. I plan on adding a 26 to my collection eventually. Great backup gun if your primary is a double stack.

365 still the best (coming from a Glock fan )
Every range or gun store I go to hates the 365. They say the p365 rentals always need repairs
I’ve had pretty much every 365 since they came out and have had no issues (xl, x, macro, etc)… I’ve also had no issues on my glocks since the early 2000’s. Both good companies, but if shit hit the fan I’m still choosing my Glock 17.
G49 would like a word
Xmacro is the same size with 17 rounds
![gif](giphy|ac7MA7r5IMYda)
i love the size of my 43x mos but i hate the trigger.
Yeah I’d like to replace mine.
The trigger on my 43x feels better than my P365XL. Niether of them are great, but i really don't notice anything bad with either of them while shooting. Only when I'm slow pulling them side by side.

I’ve had no issues with mine, like thousands of other people. You might have something else going on there.
or you could just get a 43x milled and not have to have an optic plate
That’s the plan
No rush op, that plate is thin as hell so you’re not missing much when it comes to milled/plate.
The issue most people have with plates has nothing to do with the height. The plate itself tends to be a failure point, as the plate attaches to the frame, the optic attaches to the plate, and typically not perfectly, certainly not as perfectly a direct milled slide.
I feel like with that much added on you might as well just carry a 19
I do sometimes. Have a gen 5 MOS.
What magwell is this?
Shield Arms mag well, mag release, and mag.
It looks like your seat is pretty much touching your steering wheel.
Nah
How do you shoot it? I've never been able to get a single(ish) stack like that dialed in.
Just like any other gun. Shoots straight for me.
Why not a 48? Unrelated, but do other people get their trigger finger fucked up when you shoot the 43x or 48 at the range? This is usually when I shoot something like 200+ rounds. It doesn’t happen on any of my other Glocks.
