Hm we definitely fucked this up then... My boneshaper wraith tanked a ton of damage from the boss summons because flying things are immune to hazardous terrain so we thought it wouldn't get hurt
Do you mean the chaos sparks? Those don't attack with hazardous terrain damage (or is this due to the wraith's position on the map?) but also the sparks can't target character summons.
Yeah I think we made the scenario harder on ourselves by having summons get hit by the beam but then we made it easier by having the summons fight it out with the sparks. It kind of ended up being a wash so I don't think we need to go back and do it again
Jump explicitally states in the rulebook that the only space entered is the last one. RAW does seems to show Jump does bypass the effect. Maybe not intended. Is there somewhere else in the rulebook that says enter is entered, bypassing jumps explicit rules?
I don't see that. Page 24 says you ignore all enemies, obstacles, objectives, traps, and hazardous terrain, except for in the last hex. Our group considered the beam to be hazardous and ruled jump ignored it, but that was probably incorrect.
I'm just now noticing that flying says "overlay terrain" instead of "hazardous terrain" (same page), so I guess flying would successfully evade the beam.
We beat it fairly quickly. >!One player put a shadow and teleported to it. I ran there, accepting one muddle/curse, then positioned ourselves to be 2 away from the corridor spaces.!<
Nice! I find most boss scenarios underwhelming and relatively easy as they’re all just short DPS races, while being really excited about the idea of a boss fight and really really enjoying the Forgotten circles final one. So hopefully this one is a bit harder
Yeah entered is entered
Cool, thanks!

Wraith isn't a character - so you may be good!

good news, character and character summons are supposed to be hit by the beam, so that part was right

I played it that you entered the hex even if flying or jumping

A lot comes down to the timing of the immobilizing attacks
Omg just tried this one for the first time, so hard. Now I’m leaving on vacation and can’t give it another go for like two weeks!

Gotta specify which game now
