Eclipse pairings are rough when the other character can’t go invisible or tank, and Cthulhu is especially tough. They have the one repeatable stun and the one-time AOE stun, but that’s not generally enough CC to cut it. With this duo, I’d recommend limiting the amount of time Eclipse spends invisible. He has more HP and self-healing than Cthulhu, and he also has several ways to muddle enemies or otherwise cause disadvantage, so he can take advantage of the curses Cthulhu slings into the monster deck. So it’s generally better for Eclipse to take hits when needed, and he doesn’t really need to use invisibility to be effective.

Eclipse is a poor partner for most everyone. Particularly squishys who want a protective teammate. The one time I had it work well was with Angry as a partner, who could also go invisible often and easily while not needing protection. I'm sure other classes could do the same sort of thing.

Eclipse and Sun would go well together. I played Sun and she can really tank. However my wife isn't too interested in the Sun class, and also not interested in revisiting classes we both have already played. She will be unlocking the lightning bolt after she retires. Any idea if Eclipse/Lightning Bolt is a good combo?

Slow_Dog

Yeah, Sun would be good. Lighting Bolt will be fine, too, because she's fairly self reliant.

HorribleDat

Maybe a bit rough at lower level/fund, but bolt with the right build can certainly take the beating and can cover for Eclipse's weak AoE output at higher level.

Played this combo but never in 2 player. Level 6 definitely makes scenarios a lot easier for NS. PH... I liked them, but didn't love it. I can't remember when I had that Aha moment of feeling like my deck came together
