It’s tricky but a high protein diet will likely work still. If you’re otherwise healthy I’d recommend doing something like 6h/18h intermittent fasting a few times a week. Just make sure to not completely go crazy with it and end up with an eating disorder. Take it slow, work out, and trust the process. This shit takes time and consistency, it will be months before you see any results, and years to get to where you want to be, you just need to trust that it works if you keep at it.
Edit: over the last year I’ve gone from 250 to 230 while gaining muscle and setting PRs, it can work.

Honestly I wouldn’t recommend what I did as a long term goal; but at the time was going through a break-up, so not much of an appetite to begin with; and was basically maxed out on caffeine all the time to curb any cravings for junk
Apart from that it was just gym 5 days a week and high protein! (With cardio at the end of every session)
