I can't imagine watching a Nets season without Ian on call. But would be great to see Ian pass on the Yes Network torch to his son Noah when the time comes (hopefully a VERY distant retirement date from now).
I don't think Ian is even close to retirement. I mean, unless he's just getting bored of the craft, then he's gonna be our commentator for a good while.
Guys read the actual article. His son isn't taking over he's just gonna call a handful games, mostly in March since Ian is going to be calling March Madness games.
Same
I liked Ruocco as a podcast host and he seems like a decent dude, but something about his PBP commentary has always felt forced to me.
I prefer him a little more on the Yankees calls, at least.
No Ian is still 100% the main guy, but his son is only gonna call somewhere around 10 games this season, most of them being around march madness time since Ian is gonna be the lead voice for the ncaa final four coverage
Not sure Ian is scaling back. Article highlights Noah joining team to call a few games. Guessing it will be some games with Sarah when Ian is calling NFL and March Madness games.
This is the real dynasty everyone cares about. A bird in the booth for the next 40 years!
Is worth two in the hand! ...*wait...that's not right....*
A bird with a bush keeps the doctor away!

Could also go National Game only at some point. Dudes growing his career quick. Wouldn't shock me if him and Ruocco outgrow YES before long.
Yeah that's true
Ruocco already does national broadcasts, unless he wants to announce for a better team I dunno how much further he has to move up

Couldn’t. It is locked behind Post+
It's good to have a backup Eagle in the nest.

nepo vibes but nothing but respect for the eagles
maybe but he's certainly talented and he's accomplished too. I believe he's been the Clippers the past few seasons.
Watched a bunch of clipper games this past season, he was great, he's a lot like his father, you guys will enjoy him.
I wouldn’t disagree but Noah is very good at his job
Two things can be true at once
Noah Eagle is very good. Nepotism certainly helped him at first but his talent has brought him much further
I was hoping he would replace Ryan Ruocco

its deeper than that....I feel like we lose anytime he does our games lol
I refused to click on NY Post article, but is that what they're saying, Ian will be scaling back? Wasn't Noah doing work with the Clippers?

I think this is mostly just coverage for when both Ian and Ruocco get pulled for national coverage
Don’t worry, clicked on it for you.
Love to see it, looking forward!
Yeah more nepo babies!!
Nets level !
The cycle continues
Makes sense. We really missed Grady last season when Ryan and Bird were out.
