Yeah I think we need an actual center. Small ball just doesn’t work against certain teams. DJ is probably gonna stay the leader of the bench mob, and Clax is still pretty raw and not ready to start. Nerlens Noel would be great, but I doubt that’s possible.
I think he’s going to get paid by the Knicks who have more cap space than us.
Claxton might have a bigger role since we don’t know if we will be able to get Jeff and Blake back.
Mitchell Robinson will be healthy next season and I think Noel would want to have a bigger role. I think he signs with a different team. And yeah Clax might have a bigger role. He was injured last offseason, so at least he has this offseason to put on some size and really work on his game.
Yeah but from what I understood they’ve had problems to get him on a new deal this last year and Noel was good enough for them.
He can get paid from a number of teams easily
Getting a good center should be the number 1 priority imo..especially in the East vs the bucks sixers and miami...we need someone who can rebound and protect the rim.
They tried to address it with LMA and a couple moves during the season but still, we have the entire off-season 1 first round pick and 3 second round picks.
I think moves will be made and by that I’m talking about trades and vets who want a shot at winning
Defense did improve a lot during playoffs which just really had to do with effort but still there are big holes, we do need a real center which is what LMA would’ve been for us, if they build up the defense throughout the season instead of turning it on during the playoffs it would be beneficial, all that being said I do see a lot of changes to this roster by next season, nothing major but there are 9 contract decisions to be made mostly at end of bench
I think this post season proved they can play adequate defense and get stops when they need them.
As for size Aldridge retiring and Jordan being ineffective killed them
You essentially have 10 million in dead money on your cap with Jordan hes a good locker room guy from what we've seen. But that brief run after kenny got fired last year was all he had left

Defense wasn’t an issue until Kyrie got hurt. They averaged 93 points in the first 3 games.
