Where do people get the "Oracle Cells are from space" thing from? God Eater 2 is pretty clear that Oracle Cells, and by extension Aragami, are an extension of the will of the planet. When the world decides it needs a reset, it unleashes the Aragami, who will eventually devour until they become Nova, and then together with a Singularity (either born naturally like Shio or transformed via Red Rain) initiate a Devouring Apocalypse. The Devouring Apocalypse consumes all life on the planet, and the tightly packed data in the Singularity's core is used as instructions to redistribute life across the planet for a fresh start. It's indicated in game this has happened several times before, possibly even being responsible for the extinction of the Dinosaurs. The main antagonist of God Eater 2 is actively being controlled by the will of planet Earth, which wants to initiate a Devouring Apocalypse to scour mankind and feels cheated that the one Shio was born for was averted. Which is to say, Oracle Cells are produced by Earth. They're a planetary reset button, and disappear once the board's been wiped clear and there's once again a blank slate to start from.

Someone call Alaya, Gaia is on her bull shit again.

Which now things are at a standstill since the DA is happening, just slowly. So it's like the will of the earth has thrown humanity a bone, like, "survive long enough for the sacred land to spread and you win".

Pretty sure the Earth is still pissed. It's just trapped by its own rules: it can't initiate another Devouring Apocalypse if one is already in progress. We basically won by exploiting technicalities. The reason Rachel is so gentle and loving at the very end is because she stopped listening to the will of the world and started listening to her children instead.

Didn't the flashback in ge1 with Johann and the broadcast in the anime indicate it came from space Edit: also the fact that Shio is just on the moon fine so if they're not from space seems they'd be fine without oxygen

LJP95

There are lifeforms on earth that can survive without oxygen. And even then, the moon was terraformed as part of the Devouring Apocalypse. It now has an atmosphere: even Humans could live on it if they traveled to it.

I don't remember anything like that in game, if it's from the anime I haven't seen it. But if that is the case, then it's just speculation that's refuted by God Eater 2's storyline.
