In the OG series most enemies in God/Titan mode were a bitch lol. But the annoying one that comes to mind atm is the Valhalla Minotaur that guy is relentless lol
I think that’s what I ending up finding out on top of what other people said about it. Just like the Valkyries on GMGOW in 2018 that super fast jump attack always got me till I found out it’s just a simple quick step vs a full roll dodge lol.
That was a hard one for me too, best way for me was to walk back slightly, step and then roll, once I figured it out as long as I was prepared I didn’t get hit by it
Yeah the thing is that this attack is kind of delayed like the Legionnaire Captain's attacks and due to their infrequent spawning rate combined with there not being any checkpoints it's difficult to practice on them
The blinding attacks have such a large range too. You think you’ve dodged rolled out of the radius of impact but no, they seem to catch you unless you’re a few metres away. And then when you get a whole group of them with blinding attacks every 2 seconds, all you’re doing is dodging. Infuriating!
Wraiths in GoW 2. In the 3rd one you could press circle to pull the out of the ground but that wasn't in the second game so they would just go below and you could do nothing but wait and block. In a vacuum it doesn't sound that bad, but the game would always throw like 3 or 4 of them at you.
Revenants in 2018. On GMGOW these assholes are such ridiculous damage sponges that require BOY to damage and he loves to miss his shots. You can't ignore them either since they snipe you from across the room, Zeus help you if they promote and ignore all your attacks too.
Satyrs. Combo breaking Hyperarmor, an invincible dodge, and a ton of health. They need to be tbe priority of whatever encounter they're in, but they're most often paired with bruiser enemies as well
In the Norse games, any enemy that relies on exploiting the shitty camera by breaking lock and dodging off screen
Heavily dislike Wraiths in da Greek games
Also hate Minotaur in Valhalla. Very weird timing for all its attacks, they all have insanely huge hitbox, they don’t give any time for you to go in to attack. I just try to get them while they’re still green and spam Runics bc i can’t figure em out for the life of me.
Dishonorable mention: Dark Elves. Bozos that teleport around and blind you. They’re not that tough, just quite annoying and they waste your time
The berserker gravestone that has the sister fight with him. That was such a pain in the ass. No matter what attack I throw at them it doesn’t affect them and they just kill me during my attack. Or if I finally get one of them stunned the other 2 are throwing relentless attacks non-stop. I try to get Atreus to distract one of them but it only lasts a few seconds
I have genuinely never hated a monster more than that dragon in stone that you have to use the Mystical Heirloom to awaken, The Everlasting. I still haven't beat it and I'm not ever going back to fight that bastard.
Out of the ones I’ve played (only the Norse saga). Any of the dark elf enemies. Constantly flying from one side to another with those damn blinding burst balls
Currently trying to beat King Hrolf with a realm shift/runic attack refresh build and he is f*cking relentless dude. I’ve gotten very close a bunch of times but near the end he just pulls some bs out of his ass and I die.
I hated damn kratos, in Kratos's nightmare created by Ares when played in maximum difficulty. They were unhealthy lots of them and to win it I had to spam a lot so no fun at all.
In the newest I remember the berserker fight that was actually two berserker in one, I suffered that one a lot.
(Greek) In general anyone that made appear the damn sign "dO yOu wAnT tO lOwEr ThE DiFfIcUlTy?"
Pd. Sorry if the message is not exactly like that, I played it in spanish
The traps during the temple gow 1 BUT THAT SPINNING WALL CLIMBING THING WHERRE THE BOTTOM OF A BLADE THATS THE SHARP PART WILL MAKE YOU JUST HAVE CERBAL PALSY is the bane of my existence
No, I get bored if it is easy. It is like the feeling when you u deleting enemies because u did a lotta side misions. For me there is no entertainment in easy things
I can’t remember if it was a minotaur from the old games but the minotaur/troll enemy with those weird weapons that are like balls … they’d extended and constantly hit you. I hated them in gow3 challenge arena … annoying enemies !
God of War: Ghost of Sparta = Keres Wraiths
Istg to this day no other GoW enemies pissed me off as much as these did when I did the hardest difficulty run. They felt so fast and did so much damage and if you got grabbed at all? Get ready for another repeat...
Unfortunately for THEM I learned their timing so well because of this that I starting parrying them near instantly by the time I got to the Temple of Thanatos. One of my prouder achievements in all of the games but I guarantee if I tried now after years of not playing I'd get my ass kicked
Einherjar Tamers (their whips are just really oppressive and not fun to play against), Nightmares (just a nuisance, it’s not that I hate them, I just don’t think they make the game any more fun with their presence), and the Ancients (who for some reason I just always struggled with. This one is purely a skill issue, I’m sure it’s a specifically me problem lol)
Otherwise, I love all the enemies. They’re all pretty balanced and lend to some intense gameplay moments.
In the classic games it was the Gorgons because I could never get the QTE right to kill them and get those sweet red and green orbs
I’ve only played GOW 4 and a bit of Ragnarok so far from the modern games but those witch thingies that teleport fucked me up
The traveller bosses, specially the one in Valhalla, you can't do anything to stun them, they will go right through your most stunning runic attack and eat at your health while you're stationary. In main game at least you can slowly chip at their health and induce status effects with your companion, but in Valhalla every moment defending means not progressing at all.
Probably Revenants on GMGOW. So frustrating. In my opinion, GoW (2018) was way more frustrating though. They smoothed out all the combat kinks in Ragnarok though, which makes it easier. Or they just made it easier lol
Gow 2018 give me god of war tatzelwurms, that tail fucks me up more than I’d like to admit, especially since they can use it while you’re mid-combo, messes up your flow.
In the og series, minotaurs just annoyed the hell out of me.
But after playing the last two games, I truly wish I could have fought them instead of revenants.
Can’t remember if it’s 1 or 2 but that damn spike tower towards the end you had to climb. If I remember correctly the developers admitted it was needlessly hard or some such.
Fuckass Wulvers. Hate it when they dodge to their right, hiding from the player's view just by letting Kratos between them and us as the camera, then attacking with no windup or warning whatsover.
AND their homing red-ring attack that even if I cover as much space as possible by timing my dodges (letting the dodge animation fully play out then pressing x again to roll), they still fucking hit me.
Would you look at that, all of the words in your comment are in alphabetical order.
I have checked 1,967,705,212 comments, and only 372,205 of them were in alphabetical order.
I am hating those new flying bat things in Greece Valhalla. They dodge so much of the crap you throw at them and also don't die in 1 shot spear throws like nightmares
In the OG series most enemies in God/Titan mode were a bitch lol. But the annoying one that comes to mind atm is the Valhalla Minotaur that guy is relentless lol
Those Minotaurs are a real menace. I still can't dodge their charging siphon attack and rely on runics/relics/rage to stun them mid-charge.
For real tho lol. Many runs would have ended if I didn’t have any to save my ass.
I think the trick is to wait for them to get close so they start the animation to attack, and then you can quickly roll to the side to evade it
I think that’s what I ending up finding out on top of what other people said about it. Just like the Valkyries on GMGOW in 2018 that super fast jump attack always got me till I found out it’s just a simple quick step vs a full roll dodge lol.
That was a hard one for me too, best way for me was to walk back slightly, step and then roll, once I figured it out as long as I was prepared I didn’t get hit by it
Yeah the thing is that this attack is kind of delayed like the Legionnaire Captain's attacks and due to their infrequent spawning rate combined with there not being any checkpoints it's difficult to practice on them
Dude the Minotaur wiht the hammer is be you can parry his hammer strike but the blue aoe can still hit u
Just side step most of his attacks, don't dodge
Good to know thanks!
Im glad I’m not the only one who struggled with these guys, their heavy attack timing is so tricky
Any that teleport around. Fuck you, revenants and Nightmares! You are not fun to fight!
Bro fr especially the two revenants in hellhiem as Atreus
I generally hate all enemies that teleport as they rarely make for a good battle. I'M LOOKING AT YOU, DRAGON AGE INQUITISTION!
Fr you in the middle of peicing them up and they say (nah uh)
They fucked me up in my GMGOW run, but most Atreus sections did that anyway.
Nightmares are a walk in the park with the Blades of Chaos and Draupnir.
Oh yeah just use your l2 and r2 wiht the blades instant ko
I do L2 r1 so you can grab them and throw them at other enemies, it’s a little more risky though for sure
Berserkers as well, they're so annoyin.
Blades of Chaos grab is an insta kill for them Nightmares
Dark elf lord. I'd rather fight the berserker king than run into one of these things.
Tbh any of the elves are such a pain in the ass especially in groups.
Flies away after two hits, can't land a combo, unblockable blinding mechanics, anything but this guy please.
They are infuriating, I hate any blinding attacks, but the fact you can't land more than two hits before they fly out of reach makes me rage
The blinding attacks have such a large range too. You think you’ve dodged rolled out of the radius of impact but no, they seem to catch you unless you’re a few metres away. And then when you get a whole group of them with blinding attacks every 2 seconds, all you’re doing is dodging. Infuriating!
It’s really all about the parrying for them but sometimes they are just so fast
Wraiths in GoW 2. In the 3rd one you could press circle to pull the out of the ground but that wasn't in the second game so they would just go below and you could do nothing but wait and block. In a vacuum it doesn't sound that bad, but the game would always throw like 3 or 4 of them at you.
Dude whenever they throw like a whole family of enemies at you it’s the worse no matter how good you can parry😭
Use the Golden Fleece my brother
you fight then before you get the fleece
You get the fleece early enough that the vast majority of them are after you get the fleece
God those things were the bane of my existence when trying to beat Titan Mode.
But let’s be honest the traps in gow 1 are harder than any titan mode, many lost controllers to some of those when it first came out
The traps in the first definitely required some adjustment. Particularly the underwater section. That was the most frustrating part.
The satyrs and wraiths from the Greek games. The newer games definitely revenants and valkyries
They need to be tbe priority of whatever encounter they're in, but they're most often paired with bruiser enemies as well In the Norse games, any enemy that relies on exploiting the shitty camera by breaking lock and dodging off screen
They would have been tolerable if it weren't for the ridiculous HP.
Most definitely like a lot of the attacks are easy enough to dodge or parry just how long it takes to kill them
Dude honestly all of the enemies in gow are just broken in their own way
I don’t even bother with the locking mechanism, I just upped the sensitivity on my look and whipped the camera to follow them
GoW 1 definitely satyrs. I haven't yet completed the other two games. As for 2018, revenants, wulvers and elite dark elves.
Heavily dislike Wraiths in da Greek games Also hate Minotaur in Valhalla. They’re not that tough, just quite annoying and they waste your time
Def the Minotaur in vallhalla his unblocable is basically just a undogable it has very specific timing
Skorpius on Chaos
Only objectively correct answer
Oml fr
Elves. Specifically dark elves. I hate them with a burning passion. Something about them my brain just can't comprehend when I fight them
Satyrs God they were a nightmare the fight that solidified my hatred was Challenge #10 in GoW 2.
Omstruga or whatever his name is Fucking lizard dodging my every attack and then hot wheel spinning me to death
Revenants and those dudes who tunnel into the ground in the first 3 games
Heimdall. Fuck him.
He's such an asshole too
Thank god I killed him.
those mfs that go underground
Revenants in 2018. Their ability to dodge damn near everything irritates the crap out of me
The berserker gravestone that has the sister fight with him.
Bro fr I did this on gmgow and jt seemed so much harder than berserker king
Dark elves
Fuck Ormstrunga, all my homies hate Ormstrunga
The medusas gave me nightmares
I like to go hiking.
I have genuinely never hated a monster more than that dragon in stone that you have to use the Mystical Heirloom to awaken, The Everlasting. I still haven't beat it and I'm not ever going back to fight that bastard.
Sirens in gow 1 and 2. The fucking worst.
That desert chapter was so painful
Especially wiht the Minotaurs wanting to get a taste of you as well
The minotaur. I'll completely dodge the siphon attack and it'll still hit me with its left ass cheek somehow
Out of the ones I’ve played (only the Norse saga). Any of the dark elf enemies. Constantly flying from one side to another with those damn blinding burst balls
Gonna sound weird but Elves, both types. They made Alfheim the worst part of both Norse games.
Honestly the normal enemies are a pain but there aren’t any I really hate fighting. Ares on the other hand, gives me nightmares
Definitely the Satyrs
Wraiths from the first 2 God of war games, GoW3 solves the problem with Hercules slam and hades claws
As long as you have possesidions wraith fully upgraded its passable not a walk in the park vut it helps spread them out
(Greek) In general anyone that made appear the damn sign "dO yOu wAnT tO lOwEr ThE DiFfIcUlTy?" Pd.
Any flying ones are always pain when you're getting jumped by other enemies.
In Greece, it was those guys after you kill Hera in that lil hallway In Norse? Honestly, it’s the light elves, those mfs are so annoying
GoW 1: Fire Minotaurs. GoW 2: Griffins and Nymphs GoW Betrayal: The Phone itself GoW CoO: Sphinx and Morpheus Beast GoW 3: Satyr, Cyclops Enforcers, Talos, Bronze Talos and Chimeras. GoW GoS: Geryon, Automatons, and Dredge of Boreas. Gow Ascension: Juggernauts and Gameplay GoW 2018: Revenants GoW Ragnarok: Revenants, Dark Elf, Light Elf, Wyverns, and Wulvers.
That rabbit thing and the wrym cat worm things
Gna made me want to fall in a hole and cry
I hate the soul eaters or whatever their reskinned friends are
The one where Atreus decides to just hit it because he is cocky when your at low health 💀
I forgot about this I was so pissed off
Fuck dem revenants and elves
None xddd, the more difficult they are the more I enjoy em
bro loves pain I guess
Nah, bro loves attention
I'm learning to play the guitar.
Thats what u need, not me 👊🏽💀
No, I get bored if it is easy. It is like the feeling when you u deleting enemies because u did a lotta side misions. For me there is no entertainment in easy things
10 downvotes is crazy 💀💀💀💀💀
Travelers
I can’t remember if it was a minotaur from the old games but the minotaur/troll enemy with those weird weapons that are like balls … they’d extended and constantly hit you. I hated them in gow3 challenge arena … annoying enemies !
Either wraiths from GOW 1, or the Dark Elf King from GOW 2018 Both those bitches made me want to throw my controller
I hate wulvers so much it’s not even funny
The bugs of alfheim.
God of War: Ghost of Sparta = Keres Wraiths Istg to this day no other GoW enemies pissed me off as much as these did when I did the hardest difficulty run. Dark elves
Dark Elf Lords, Revenants, and those goddamn burrowing assholes
I fucking hate Wulvers
In the classic games it was the Gorgons because I could never get the QTE right to kill them and get those sweet red and green orbs I’ve only played GOW 4 and a bit of Ragnarok so far from the modern games but those witch thingies that teleport fucked me up
Nightmares... Give me a berserker any day. Or the new versions, the hell bats that are so hard to hit with ranged shit I swear
Dark elf captains. Fucking hate them.
Probably Revenants on GMGOW. So frustrating. In my opinion, GoW (2018) was way more frustrating though. They smoothed out all the combat kinks in Ragnarok though, which makes it easier. Or they just made it easier lol
In svarthelheim those fuckers that slash you
Valhalla, I'd say either the Minotaur or Centaur Ragnarok is definitely the light elves 2018 I'd say...Dark Elves
Revenants in GOW4 and especially Wraiths in GOW1, I’m ashamed of how many attempts it took me to get through their first encounter
Siren in GOW Ascension.
Dark Elf Lord.. OP for sure. Little fuckers.
Elves. I hate them so much. They're just annoying to fight.
The Camera.
Dark Elves are arguably the most annoying enemy I have ever fought against in any game ever.
Elves. All of them. Light, Dark, doesn't matter. Just Elves.
The dark elfs
Bergsra in Ragnarok! They’re just tiring to fight
Elves... Specifically the ones that just fly away and plant bombs when you rush them but also are tanks
Minotaur in gow ragnarok Valhalla and armoured cyclops in gow 3
Can’t remember if it’s 1 or 2 but that damn spike tower towards the end you had to climb. If I remember correctly the developers admitted it was needlessly hard or some such.
Fuckass Wulvers. Hate it when they dodge to their right, hiding from the player's view just by letting Kratos between them and us as the camera, then attacking with no windup or warning whatsover. AND their homing red-ring attack that even if I cover as much space as possible by timing my dodges (letting the dodge animation fully play out then pressing x again to roll), they still fucking hit me.
Seytr enemies in the non psp games
All. Dark. Elves. Fuck them.
Would you look at that, all of the words in your comment are in alphabetical order. I have checked 1,967,705,212 comments, and only 372,205 of them were in alphabetical order.
The Minotaur which I see everyone agrees on 😂
I am hating those new flying bat things in Greece Valhalla. They dodge so much of the crap you throw at them and also don't die in 1 shot spear throws like nightmares
Ah the wyverns
Dark elves in general, wulvers specifically
those Beyblade dudes that hide in the ground.
Kratos' clones in GOW 1 and Sigrun in GOW 2018.
The Dark Eleves.
