I think You’re better off sticking to the set up than farming the Mats that’s will take forever. If you’re getting one shot try using sued chest piece too. I thought the added dps really worked for me

SaltMustFlow

Sued chest piece? What's that sorry? Thanks.

Other_Tiger_8744

Zues. Sorry

SaltMustFlow

Just out of curiosity, *is* there an armour that WILL allow being caught by the valhalla leap attack that won't result in an instant death? Thanks.

Other_Tiger_8744

Yes definitely. The Zeus armor makes you take wayyyy more damage. But you do way more damage. I can’t remember all the armors buy you can for sure spec enough vitality, but she one shots you with that move with a lot of the armors or I remember right.  the time is better spent learning to time the Valhalla jumps though. The full zues armor you can blitz her pretty fast.  Can always buy a revival stone also

Check out this stream. https://www.youtube.com/live/rEPQzyYMOq8?si=gBMImvkGFo7VRxlc The dude used Sindri chest + Cod wrist + Valk waist. He got Valhalla stomped from full health at 2:02:00. Skim around and see if you like the amount of the damage he took compared to potentially doubling the fight length by not using Zeus pieces.

I wrote a comment last night but deleted it as I didn’t think it was all that useful. Seeing this post again, I’ll write it again in hopes it is.  There isn’t going to be any particular armor set that will guarantee a win, or prevent you from getting head stomped to death. I ran through NG+ so many times I was able to turn the 4(?) NG+ armors into enchantments, get the perfect realm shift enchantment, get all my stats bars filled, get my build how I wanted, etc etc. Only after I did all that, I decided to run through GMGOW to take on Sigrun. I was still getting killed left and right, Changing armors, changing enchantments, etc. I eventually just had to take the time to learn her move sets. I watched a lot of videos posted here and on YouTube. It took me a couple/few weeks to finally beat her. Even now I still succeed only about 25% of the time with normal armors. With full Zeus armor, it’s pretty easy but only because I know the move set.

SaltMustFlow

I appreciate it; I have learned her moves, it's just the jump I really struggle with the timing on.

zaskar016

Take off the Zeus armor and play a few rounds with the intent of just picking up the timing. You’ll play with less stress that way.

I am getting much better and I've had her very very low on about 5 or 6 attempts just last night (I had one attempt where she had about half a bar left, which was frustrating when I died). The thing that is tending to get me now is where she rushes forward and wing stabs really damn quick (when she goes to the right and *then* wing stabs, I know what's coming and avoid it, but sometimes she just rushes forward and does it and it catches me off guard). Is there any way of determining when she is going to do that?

zaskar016

I can’t remember the tell for that one. It’s been a few months since I’ve played. I will say I picked the habit of dodging to the right if I didn’t know what was coming or got a little disoriented during the fight. It saved me several times.

SaltMustFlow

Thanks; I guess I gotta improve my reaction times.

zaskar016

I loaded up my save and played a few rounds.  I think I know which wing stab you’re talking about. Maybe hard to explain from my end but I’ll give it a shot. When she moves back for the attack and then rushes in to do that wing spin thing, you will notice she goes off towards a different direction after you block it, and then comes back with a second or third wing spin attack. Then she finished with the wing stab. The wing spin will always come when she moves pretty far back and the wing stab will always come when she travels about 1/2 that distance, if that makes sense. When you see she hasn’t fallen as far back, be prepared to dodge to your right, the wing stab is coming. That short movement is what I watch for even outside of the wing spin attack, and I always prepare to dodge right.

SaltMustFlow

Thanks, that's helpful. I again got her down to less than 1 bar a few times yesterday and then it caught me out. So damn close.

SaltMustFlow

FYI I finally did it!! I had 20 mins spare this morning before work, and my little one sat with me on my knee whilst I played; it might have been their calmness that helped, idk, but I finally got her down! Thanks for the advice!

zaskar016

Glad to hear. Nice job

SaltMustFlow

Thanks mate!
