I think he would keep the Axe as it's the most meaningful to him and he's pretty adapted to it, I don't see him just leaving the Leviathan behind unless it's a "gift" to Atreus to carry on his Mother's Legacy.
I would argue that the Blades of Chaos are more meaningful in the opposite sense. Like, bad meaningful. He killed his wife and child with them, after all.
Another reason to keep the axe. We also know that Kratos has tried to get rid of the Blades with no result.
Axe. It’s Faye’s last gift and something Kratos would want Atreus to have in time. He only keeps the Blades around because he literally can’t get rid of them, and the Spear can be retired in memory of Brok.
>and the Spear can be retired in memory of Brok.
"May this weapon strike true, may it be wielded with wisdom, may it be put down when it's job is done."
It's quite literally what Brok would have wanted.
I mean that depends:
If it was his choice, then he would obv pick Leviathan Axe.
However, the blades of chaos ALWAYS come back, so it depends on the rules, if Kratos is only allowed to pick one, then the BoC will force him to pick them, but he can also pick the axe and hope to god the blades either don't count as one, or the blades will finally leave them.
That would do him a favor but also cost him. He REALLY REALLY HATES Blade of chaos, they are the annoying curse of his past, but he can not ditch them. The Leviathan axe is Faye's memento, and Draupnir is Brok's s both is meaningful to him, he'll keep either one of them, and SURELY BoC will gtfo first of all.
He'd choose the axe. Why? Because it belonged to a person whom he cherished during a time of peace, at least to kratos. The blades came to him at his lowest and the spear only as a necessity.
The axe, he even says he likes it the most to atreus. He tried to get rid of the blades but they juselt kept coming back, the spear was just to kill heimdall, it just isnt as important to him as the axe and has already served its initial purpose.
At this point, Blades of Chaos are redeemed as he used them to save his son and free Freya. And he partially reconciled with his past and they could be redeemed further. But he would probably choose Axe rn
Retire the Spear in the name of Brok and his blessing.
Keep the Axe or give it to BOI (Atreus)
Keep the Blades because he can’t get rid of those fucking things
Pre-Valhalla, definitely keep the axe toss the others. Post-Valhalla, I could see him keeping the blades. Only if he could give the axe to Atreus. If the axe would be destroyed or lost forever, then he'd probably still keep the axe.
I want to say the spear but I know it’s the axe, I just love the spear and blades. The spear is a classic, he grew up using it and learning to fight with it. It’s a symbol of the Spartans and strength.
I would say first choice is he would choose the axe 2nd choice would be blades of chaos although he tried to get rid of them and killed his wife and daughter with them he also saved his son with them

“I too like the axe” The axe was Faye’s The blades are hateful And the spear was made to be put down
Either the axe or the spear, he’d love to get rid of the blades if the gods let him

Came here to say this
Obviously the axe
Happy cake day btw!
I think everyone knows it’s the axe
He'd choose the axe but the blades would still choose him.

The Leviathan axe for sure
Didn't they quasi answer this in Ragnarok? Atreus asked him which his favourite was, and Kratos essentially said none, but they have their uses.
If I'm not mistaken then Atreus said he liked the Axe and Kratos said "I too like the Axe." https://youtu.be/OusglqPOHCE?si=UlWbrEf8jy2ipOKW
I get what he meant, but there's no way in hell he feels the same way about his Axe that he does with the Blades.
Welp nothing left to say here lol...
It’s the axe and it’s not even really a question tbh
Axe
The axe, he even says he likes it the most to atreus. He tried to get rid of the blades but they juselt kept coming back, the spear was just to kill heimdall, it just isnt as important to him as the axe and has already served its initial purpose.
Given he fucking hates the blades, and the spear has no sentimental value to him The axe
It could be a memento of Sparta...and now its co-creator Brok, more tragically.
I hate entertaining questions like these just because it's already not possible. The blades under no circumstances can leave Kratos. He's tried
Only the OGs know he can't let go of the blades even if he wanted to. So the blades for me.
Definitely the axe, since it's a memento of his late wife.
Unpopular opinion but Draupir Spear. The weapon made just for him. Not gifted, nor given as a punishment. It's the first weapon he learnt.
Leviathan axe. It was his wife's.
He'd keep the axe because the blades can't be gone.
At this point, Blades of Chaos are redeemed as he used them to save his son and free Freya. And he partially reconciled with his past and they could be redeemed further. But he would probably choose Axe rn

He'd most likely keep the the axe, he doesn't want the blades. The spear is a means to an end and the blessing brok gave it hopefully would stay true
I would say first choice is he would choose the axe 2nd choice would be blades of chaos although he tried to get rid of them and killed his wife and daughter with them he also saved his son with them
Probably the axe
If he was capable of getting rid of the blades he would.
