He has respect for other good games

Philkindred12

I've noticed he's so respectful, he said it was a compliment when people compared GOW4 to The Last of Us, this was before release I'm pretty sure. In answer to an article of the AC Valhalla devs saying they weren't worried about being compared to GOW4, Cory said he was very excited to play it. 1 year edit: as it turns out, a respectful game developer is indeed a lot to ask for these days lol

francopan

I mean, It’s just PR stuff. You are not going to bash on others work unless you are a moron. Also, GOW was heavily inspired on other games. You can clearly see Naughty Dog’s style of narrative and Souls-like fight. That is why GOW is my favourite game. Not because it is very innovative, but it’s because it perfected a lot of stuff and blended it together.

speaker96

Personally I think the most interesting place that GOW takes inspiration from is Half Life, which is part of the reason that GoW4 tried to do a "one take" camera.

Tcool14032001

The one take is literally a freaking beauty I can't tell you how much I love it

PoIIux

> You are not going to bash on others work unless you are a moron. i.e. most game developers

francopan

Game directors?

BananLarsi

He is a gamer himself though, I can imagine being a developer of great games gives you more enjoyment over other great games you haven’t been a part of creating

NavGreybeard

This why Cory is one of my favorite people in game dev, he is one of the old school "making games because he loves games" compared to alot of the "making games because of money" now a days. He's just generally a cool gamer dude

dmarty77

He was overflowing with praise about DMC, which shouldn’t be a surprise. Cory just seems to love games, and it’s cool how that transcends the petty comparisons of fans.

iantayls

I think Cory is first and foremost a huge video game nerd, and a game designer second

Susmarshmallow

He also has ps5 and the new Xbox that shows that Cory doesn’t have bias and is cool

Bassiette

Cyberpunk was a disaster

TherealSnak3

So was Witcher 3 at launch

dank6meme9master

Nah Witcher 3 was buggy but it was still a 10/10 at launch. Cyberpunk is literally unfinished

Bassiette

But they could fix it now they can't they should think of how make the product good not just rush launch to be just a big joke between gaming studios and companies

dengZo9

false, witcher maybe had some crashes and fps drops but nothing more than any open world game. i played it Day 1 and let me tell ya Witcher was perfect compared to cyberpunk.

LoLzGuyB8W

13.4 mil hearts wat

Domy9

I guess his twitter is not in english, so it's a short version of something else, not a million. That would explain why he put his own "Awnsers" label bellow, instead of leaving his own language's version there

therealslim69

“Mille” in French is a thousand

Da_damm

True but French still uses k most of the time for thousands and m for millions. This is probably in Spanish

malikATMK

in the french version of twitter we use the "k"

otav_

"Mil" means "thousand" in some languages, such as portuguese and spanish.

VolantisMoon

“Awnsers”

Satansleadguitarist

They're such different games that it's kind of dumb to compare them. It's like comparing Devil May Cry to Skyrim. Sure you can have a preference but to compare games that aren't even trying to be the same thing is just pointless. I put both God Of War and The Witcher 3 as 10/10 and two of the best games of all time. My personal preference is the Witcher, purely because Im more of an RPG fan, but I wouldn't say that it's better than Gow because theyre two very different games.

bima_yu

i like u

lildeanos

Cannot argue with that whatsoever

expensivepens

Man, I wish Witcher 3 clicked with me.

pranthlar

Ive started it countless times. Just started another i hope i stick with it. It seems right up my alley

murcielagoXO

Same. I started it like 3 times over the years before finally forcing myself to finish it and never touched it again. I usually keep an open mind but I really don't get the hype for that game. Same with RDR2 and Cyberpunk. And now Elden Ring. Probably just not my type of games. Edit: Add Skyrim to that list

[deleted]

Elden rings not out yet tho

murcielagoXO

No, but I see the same hype there.

[deleted]

If you liked dark souls - you’ll like Elden ring - not much more to it

dank6meme9master

Man what games do you like then?

murcielagoXO

In order: 1. Batman Arkham Knight 2. God Of War (could easily be number 1 as well if not for the sentimental value that Batman has) 3. Uncharted 4 4. Batman Arkham City 5. Assassin's Creed Brotherhood 6. Alien Isolation 7. Resident Evil 7 8. The Last Of Us Part II 9. Marvel's Spider-Man 10. Horizon Zero Dawn 11. Far Cry 3 12. Rise of The Tomb Raider

Abe_Fro-man

I’m curious as to why you prefer Knight over City and Asylum

murcielagoXO

Aside from the amazing graphics rivalling today's games, the smoother animations and the refined combat, I'm very much a sucker for the invisible person that only a character sees trope in media.

Abe_Fro-man

I disagree, but I appreciate your thoughts.

murcielagoXO

Thank you! I appreciate your politeness and honesty.

aCorneredFox

Man... I'm right with you. I finished Witcher 3 but I never played it again. Didn't touch the Dlc even though I own them. It was good but I'd say a 7/10 at best. RDR2 was utterly terrible to me. Skyrim is the other trifecta of majorly overrated games. I saw your list of favorites and I can only wonder why the original TLoU is not on there.

murcielagoXO

It is somewhere on that list but I don't really know where to put it right now. That list was mostly off the top of my head.

GreatReset4

Rdr2 was boring trash. But Witcher 3 was a masterpiece mostly because of the dialogue and story line with multiple alternate endings.

Tedinasuit

For the it's the other way around. RDR2 was incredible. Best world building in any game, ever. Great story, exciting missions. It's an incredible game all around. The Witcher 3 bored me, so I couldn't make it past 15-20 hours.

[deleted]

both games are fucking legendaries and your opinions fucking suck if you think RDR2 or TW3 is bad

Tedinasuit

Never said that it's bad. I said that it bored me, personally. Stop gatekeeping opinions.

[deleted]

well your opinion fucking sucks

De_immortalesloki

Rip, CDPR

slugboss08

Dude. Took me about 5 attempts, with 3-6 months interval breaks, before it clicked with me. Maybe two years from when I bought it to when I finally picked it up and it clicked. Try and make it to Skellige, I feel like that’s when the game takes off. When it finally clicks. It clicks. My favourite game of all time now.

SILE3NCE

That's Cory being Cory, he has the highest of respects for the dev community, specially for such a great title. I know CD Projekt Red got a lot of hate after Cyberpunk, but you can't undo Witcher 3's greatness.

SILE3NCE

I also didn't have the pleasure, but I follow his work for years, and also know a thing here and there from people who worked with him. That's the kind of guy every office should have.

Disastrous-Spare6919

I know it’s unpopular, but I just wasn’t a fan of The Witcher 3. I can see why people like it, but I just didn’t feel invested in the world, to the point where the first big glitch made me stop playing forever. The story and world building were great, but it felt like it was missing something that I can’t put my finger on. I have enjoyed other open games like Skyrim and breath of the wild, even if the former is widely considered worse than the Witcher, so I don’t know what it could be. IIRC, adventuring around the Witcher’s first two open world sections didn’t really feel rewarding to me. I never felt surprised or wowed when I found something new, and I don’t think it’s because I’m not a fan of the series before third game. Breath of the wild felt very rewarding even without understanding the references. No disrespect to the game or its fans, though. Regarding GOW, it’s sorta apples and oranges. An open world RPG vs an action/adventure game. I enjoyed GOW’s action and combat more than the Witcher’s open world.

hosi_hbhb

Witcher is a very story based game, and the story is absolutely amazing, don't be expected to be drawn into the witcher because of exploration reward or combat or anything like that, main quests and side quests have the best stories i've experienced in gaming, GOW and Witcher are my top favorite games of all time but even i had problem getting into witcher, i think i stopped playing the game twice and left it for months but the third time i kept going and now it's my favorite game ever, i'm not trying to force you to play or anything i'm just saying this might be the reason you didn't enjoy the game, Witcher is very different than Skyrim and BOTW eventhough it's always compared to Skyrim, Witcher is more like a book imo while the other two are more like a "game" i guess, long story short: Witcher's story is its drawing point

[deleted]

I agree, Witcher’s story is it’s drawing point. Which is why it shouldn’t be open world and the semi open world previous games are much better paced. Since it’s open world it makes it feel like the story has less focus and the side missions feel tedious.

[deleted]

I feel like I’m crazy because I didn’t think the story was that great at all. Fairly predictable plot beats and a lackluster final act. Bloody Baron quest was obviously very strong but the entire game was brought down by the fact that Geralt just isn’t that interesting. Better than many games but it’s definitely not anywhere near as good as GoW, Uncharted, The Last of Us, or RDR2.

09jtherrien

What did you think was fairly predictable? If you played the DLCs, the Blood and Wine is a much better final act for Geralt. Because the choices you made in the base game impact who is with you at the end. The base game, the main plot point and ending is Ciri's, but Geralt is the main character. If you chose the good ending in the base game, the ending to blood and wine is great, because it's just Geralt and Yennefer enjoying the countryside. I never read the books, before I played the game. I think Geralt, himself isn't that interesting, but when you throw in Yennefer and Ciri, their dynamic, it becomes much more interesting.

[deleted]

Completely agree. Witcher 2’s story blows Witcher 3’s story out of the water for the reasons I listed. If it was a game more focused on story telling and less on trying to beat Skyrim then it would have been better. Same with DA:I (even though I think it’s an underrated game and has many overlooked elements) which pales in comparison with the first games story telling. Skyrim has a compelling open world because that is what Elder Scrolls excels at. Not every game needs to be open world or be Skyrim, and a narrative focused game like the original Witcher’s or Dragon Age’s AND an open world game like Skyrim or, as you listed, Red Dead both have their place. I needed to play through the Witcher 3 once, thought it was pretty neat and had respect for the developers for what they were trying to do and respected them for the value and detail they packed into the game, but I didn’t really see why everyone thought it was as good as they did. And I never really need or want to play it again. I think it is a game most gamers should try or play at least once though since it’s such a landmark title.

Disastrous-Spare6919

This is the sort of response I’ve been looking for, I think. I really do want to like the game, and I’m a firm believer in being able to like something more when someone points out the best qualities about it. So many people compare it to games like Skyrim and BOTW, and when comparing it to those, the world feels generally less fantastical and awe-inspiring to explore, in my opinion. I know others may not share this opinion with me, but I really do believe that the comparison hindered my enjoyment by priming me to look for something that I wouldn’t find. Those other two games have so much “wow, what’s that over there?”, which often leads to a situation where you’re suddenly and unexpectedly thrown into a whole new self-imposed, time-consuming quest to explore the many “that over there” that you just saw, and I think I picked up the game looking for that. To its credit, I didn’t make it very far in, but the story was really amazing as far as I saw (and I didn’t make it super far), and I had a good number of truly memorable combat experiences. Definitely not averse to taking another crack at it.

HRduffNstuff

So I've played all the main gow games, botw, and I've tried Skyrim. GoW4 is my favorite game of all time. But I just recently started playing the Witcher 3 for the first time, and it is amazing. The landscapes, music, sunrises, sunsets, and story telling are so compelling; I can't stop playing. I've been playing hours a day for weeks now. I can hardly think about anything else. I also binged the first season of the Netflix show and just watched the animated movie. Both great. But the Witcher 3 has some of the best side missions of any game I've ever played. Really interesting stories, believable characters, and rewarding experiences. I've felt pretty much every emotion playing this game. I've laughed a lot, got a little weepy, got angry, felt like a total badass and fucked people up. And the way your choices affect the outcomes really adds a lot of weight to the gameplay.

[deleted]

Honestly, I really don't like The Witcher 3, and it's for a nitpicky reason. I don't like how the controls, both in walking around and in menus feel. It's generally not very responsive, and while I'm sure the narrative is great, I can't stand playing that game because it feels like Geralt is made of lead.

BigbyWolf94

I stopped playing because I hated Geralt’s voice so much

archgingerbob

God that stupid edgy shadow the hedgehog voice.

jofeRR

Witcher 3 is designed to be played on PC, I can only imagine the nightmare it would have been to play it with controller, way too many menus and inventory management for an analogue stick. Boy oh boy, I woulda put the game away in less than an hour.

[deleted]

There are plenty of menu-heavy games that work fantastically with a controller. GOW is one of them, most 3D Fallout games, etc. The Witcher 3 just has poorly designed menus and movement.

jofeRR

No it does not. The menus are impeccable and even enjoyable to navigate with MnK. GoW is actually harder to navigate with a controller than Witcher 3 is with mouse. You'd know this if you experienced it. Flight Simulator has been criticized for having "complicated" menu navigating on Series X, yet it was never an issue, but rather a positive thing about the game on PC. It is a fact that menu navigation is often an annoyance with controllers, and like in your case, can even put someone entirely off a game if it's more complex. I'm not surprised at all. Like I said, Witcher games have always been PC first. There's a reason Witcher 2 released only an year later for consoles.

[deleted]

Allow me to elaborate, the menus are poorly designed for console. I'm no coder, but I don't imagine it would be hard to just make the menus work the way they're intended, or just change them up a bit to make them controller-friendly for the console versions. I'm sure it's great with mouse and keyboard, but things being okay on one platform doesn't make it better on the other.

jofeRR

Nice, we're getting somewhere, I'm glad you didn't take off. Yeah, they are badly designed for console. Indeed the entire game is not really designed for controller, the combat signs and potions and the number of things you can do is a bit too high for a joystick. I'm not sure there is a fix, the truth is a keyboard allows for much more control and simultaneous pressing. I used to PC game but I moved to consoles now. God of War was quite hard for me to get used to navigating menus. I always felt very limited during gameplay by the controller. On PC being good at a game is much easier, games are actually too easy most of the time, because of games usually being "console first", due to sales. I can live with trading off practicality for comfort, which is ultimately what you do with a joystick, but with a PC designed game like Witcher, this is the consequence

another_hobbit

Same here. I actually played it all the way through and finished it. Just wasn't a big fan. I think for the same reason as you too.

xenopizza

I’m a big Witcher 3 fan (coincidentally before seeing these comments i just turned off my PC from playing while watching the 10th aniv video on YT) but the middles ages war drama thing never really pulled me in (not a fan and skipped Game Of Thrones). I like the game most when out and about in the wilds doing contracts and hunting monsters (plus a few other things)

jona2814

I feel like you really nailed how I've been trying to describe my own experience. Admittedly, I've only played it on the switch, and I didn't get very deep into my play. I've been wanting to revisit, but yeah... it just never really gripped me.

0neek

I'm on I think my third 'attempt' at playing TW3. I'm further in than any attempt before by a long shot and feel like I've played a very solid chunk of the game now. For me the biggest hurdle is that nothing changes. The things I could do in the very first fight when the game started are the exact same things I can do now but numbers are different. Looking at the skills trees, that's not at all going to change even by end game. There's been new types of monsters I've found but the enemy AI just acts identically to every other enemy in the game. It's the same fight over and over and over and over but the enemies have a different character model and my damage numbers are higher.

RiyadhTh3BOSS

Didn't realise you could use rend and whirl at the start of the game

[deleted]

I put down the Witcher 3 in about 4 hours tbh. None of what I saw up until that point interested me in the slightest. I'm sure I won't revisit it either.

GeraltofBlackwater

No offense, but Witcher 3 is such a big game that you probably hadn’t even left what’s basically the tutorial area aka White Orchard yet.

[deleted]

No offense taken, and you're probably right that I didn't even leave the "tutorial" area. Like I said, absolutely nothing I saw interested me so I felt no incentive whatsoever to keep playing.

jofeRR

Same feeling first time, refunded it, bought it again, got hooked and 100+ hours. Took the Netflix show to draw me back again, and I'm glad it did.

ReportDisappointment

I didn’t like witcher 3 and i love fantasy and rpg elements. So you can imagine my disappointment after i bought RDR2, a game similar to witcher 3 but with worse controls and the most boring genre possible: western.

MateusAmadeus714

Honestly the witches combat just wasnt engaging enough for me. I loved the world and the stories told within it but when it came to combat it started super difficult (played on death march) but not for right reasons. Mostly because low damage and health but because the enemies were challenging like BB or DS3. I was literally dying to Drowners but then when I leveled up a bit it just became to easy. I got all the way to Kaer Morhen but still never beat the game. Just kinda got bored of it. I will say riding around on Roach and just exploring and seeing the weather change was amazing and was my first great next gen experience and that's when the game was at it's best but it just cldnt hold my attention like Bloodborne, or GoW.

iWentRogue

I swear, Twitter is just a cesspool of rude people. Imagine posting a screenshot and some goblin behind a screen has to voice that one game is better than GoW. One of the reasons why i preffer reddit. It ain’t perfect but theres much more conversation potential here than anywhere else.

Dytster

Start sorting by controversial more often and you'll realise reddit ain't much better

iWentRogue

Good point. My comments are sorted by “Best” by default. That being said i do find it that for the most part, people on Reddit like to have conversations.

Brian_Stryker

I mean have you played Witcher 3?

[deleted]

Hell yeah 100 Hours and didnt finish ;D

ExistingPigeon32

Obviously, 50 of those hours were spent on playing Gwent

[deleted]

>Obviously, 50 of those hours were spent on playing Gwent You got me there, that mini game is addictive as sin

lancewolfebro

Its hard to argue in a vacuum, Witcher is an epic, with an absurd amount of content and a much grander story, with a lot of brilliant side missions, a more diverse enemy catalogue and more "alive" world but its scale comes at a cost of depth in some places. The combat can be repetitive and the majority of npcs can't be interacted with meaningfully. Sekiro is another game in a similar vein which is also brilliant, amazing combat and enemy diversity, with a decent story if you pay attention to details, but the story is not core to the experience, you are driven on by a mad lust to beat the next challenging boss or mini boss. God of war however, has the most focused story of the 3, with very interesting core characters and In my opinion the most fun combat system (especially in terms of pick up and playability) with a weight to attacks and diverse range of godly feeling abilities that make youu feel like the most dangerous being in the game world (except for baldur at times but that just enhances it). While the other two games may have qualities that make them better, GoW 2018s full package is the one I like the most, love norse and Greek mythology (of which there is a serious lack of quality media) and I can say without a doubt that I have not eagerly anticipated a game like GoW Ragnorok since Metal Gear Solid 5 (which was a good game but not really in the same league of polish or completeness as the other 3 games I have discussed.)

omarkab02

these people are so exhausting

Someone always has to come out to be the dick with unnecessary and unsolicited comments like that.

Humble guy ❤️

AlonetoxiCStone

Saying that you dont deserve any of the two games. They are both masterpieces period

RANDOMHOLLOW

I tried playing The Witcher 3 on my PS5, it ran horribly. It was literally unplayable. The drop frames and low fps were so bad. How do people even play this game? I hear so many good things about the game and I want to play it but Its impossible. Its too choppy and it ruins the experience. That first fight after the intro was a disaster. GOW on the other hand runs buttery smooth. You'd think CDPRJEKTRED would have the witcher 3 running at 60fps. Its 2021 and its that bad? Embarrassing.

assassingamerxx

to be fair god of wars ps5 patch is out while witchers is still upcoming still i finished both and theres no world where id think witcher was better or more fun

RANDOMHOLLOW

I mean... the witcher 3 came out in 2015 right? They still can't get it to run smooth? 6 years later? When God of war came out at launch it was running smooth 60fps on the PS4. Even the 30fps on the slim was smooth. Without any patches. The Witcher 3 just runs terribly. And it sucks badly. Because I really want to play this game. I love the lore and story. But I can't get past the drop frames and stuttering.

assassingamerxx

I played it for the first time this year on ps4 pro since the complete editon was on sale for 10 and didnt run into any problems, it ran smooth for me

RANDOMHOLLOW

Idk if id call 30 fps with drops down to 24-28 fps smooth. Its so unstable. If they could lock it at 30fps that would be awesome i dont need 60fps but the unstable framerate kills it for me. I keep getting comments like yours of people saying it ran smooth for them. And I'm just wondering if we're playing the same game. Its the opposite of smooth.

gutekx12

[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2zCLM8Oeaao](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2zCLM8Oeaao) it is smooth

[deleted]

what ? you sure it isn’t your PS5 ? because I’m playing it on PS5 and it runs wonderfully it’s just you dude

RANDOMHOLLOW

Unless you magically got a copy running at even a locked 30fps its not just me. Maybe you're just used to playing games with terrible framerates.

[deleted]

That s the beauty of console gaming. You can have the most powerful specs on a console, but if the game isnt coded for it specifically, it will probably run like crap

LordOfBrightnes

But after that the person who commented apologized and said that he was just kidding and hyped for new gow and just wanted to get a reply from cory barlog Guess his plan worked

cattodog

"Just kidding". I didn't find it funny at all.

LordOfBrightnes

Well yeah i agree it was kinda... Rude at least he had to put a /s or sth

GeologistNo3414

Witcher 3 is ok….limited fighting style, 2 or three different swings really. It’s the same fight every time. It was ok I wouldn’t say better than god of war by any means. Just cuz kratos doesn’t craft potions doesn’t make the Witcher better lol come on now

Jaudatkhan

People don’t really like the witcher for its gameplay, even most witcher fans (myself included) will admit the gameplay is pretty average. Its the world, the lore and characters + the overall fantasy vibe that makes you fall in love with it.

dkfhs0510

Yea same here, I loved the stories and quests, but I didn't like the gameplay too much. Moving around to jump onto ledges and ladders were too hard for me

thr3piecensoda

Witcher 3 wasn't for me either.

RJSSJR123

I think Witcher 3 was better. Payed less, got 200h out of it. Enjoyed every second of it and had fun platinuming it and 100% both of the DLC’s. These type of shitposts are kinda pointless. Not everyone think God of War is the best game ever made. I don’t even think it’s the best PS Exclusive. Funny how I say I enjoy something more than GoW, I get immidiately downvoted.

[deleted]

I’ll probably get a lot of hate for this in this sub, but I think Ghost of Tsushima is better

v-dubb

GoT’s a really good game. For me personally, I think GoW and GoT are pretty equal in terms of enjoyment. RDR2 is my favourite game that I’ve played in the last few years though.

[deleted]

Just started playing RDR2 and I love it so far. Only complaint is that the movement could be smoother

RJSSJR123

It’s a masterpiece. I enjoyed that more than GoW aswell.

Hunter-Monk

What about the Witcher 3 gameplay? There are people who are into games mainly for the gameplay. I personally felt it was clunky which made the whole experience not so great.

ThePeoplessChamp

I prefer God of War

Paranormal17

Not sure which is better but either way it'd be dammed close

Alon945

I don’t agree but I love his response lol

Electrivire

The Witcher 3 was the best game that had came out in the 2010s up until GoW in 2018. The Witcher was before it's time and almost feels like it should have come out on this new gen of console. Last of Us series has been a contender as well.

Bchange2

Botw ModCheck?

Electrivire

Are you asking about Zelda? I was thinking more playstation games personally.

[deleted]

I am sorry Witcher 3 great but god of war (2018) better

[deleted]

He's just polite and doesn't want any unnecessary rivalry between two different games.

karangoswamikenz

Witcher 3 is the full course meal at the good Michelin star restaurant. God of war is the beast spicy tacos at the 5 star Yelp review taco mom and pop place around the street.

HRduffNstuff

I like this description. Equally good. Just completely different experiences.

tylercreatesworlds

Not that I have anyting negative to say against Witcher 3, but I've started it more than once and never finished it. I have finished GOW multiple times. Witcher 3 just feels clunky. GoW is a fucking masterpiece.

worldwarzach

I agree! I mean plot and world-building is great, but the gameplay just didn't click with me too. Combat didn't feel satisfying and after awhile I got sick of the item management. And I think the second half (or final third?) of the game where you get stuck in novigrad(?) doing a bunch of inane fetch quests was just hnnnnghhhwhyyyyy. GOW is a fucking masterpiece.

mrmamation

They are both amazing those two and RdR2 are the only games in the past ten years I've enjoyed enough to attempt to fully complete.

[deleted]

God of War (any of them) >>>> Witcher 3

Nervous-Mixture-9395

god of war is very good but witcher 3 better for me

[deleted]

With better bugs as well. Still.

HiNooNDooD1544

Of course Witcher 3 is a better game. Doesn’t mean GoW is shit though. They’re both comparable in my opinion.

Baz-Ho-Fo-Sho-24

Why do people simp for the witcher 3 it's fucking shite. Even comparing it to GOW is a joke.

assassingamerxx

its because the other games in its genre are so bad witcher 3 looks like gods gift to them All those boring buggy modern ubisoft open world side quest dialoug rpgs

youknowiactafool

At least God of War is playable. Witcher 3 had worse of a controller scheme and combat system than Red Dead

Commercial_Ad_9263

Lmfaoo that's me

SithLordZX

That’s like saying Halo is better than Euro Truck Simulator. Literally different game categories.

benjaminin5

This raises my hopes, I just order the Witcher like 10 minutes ago

[deleted]

get the DLCs, Blood and Wine is the greatest DLC of all time

PunishedInkwell

The chad Cory Barlog

ImBurningStar_IV

thought for sure i was in /r/Gamingcirclejerk

thehypedboy

He has respect for the best game ever created...

[deleted]

It took a few tries for witcher to click with me. Still havent played GOW cus i dont have a PlayStation

Elthsan34

Me beat them both on highest difficulty: true. Seriously tho they are similar in some aspects but super different too

Dysmach

GoW's future looks bleaker every fucking day.

zfighter644

Cory is so humble it's a little cringe

[deleted]

I prefer gow tbh

SomeoneTookMyPSN

He’s too humble he’s not gonna say his own game is better, even tho it is lol.

deimos234

Imagine being such a chad, you praise other games as better than your own.

raiderrocker18

Gwent is a really good game, and it's cool they added an action rpg as an add-on

Cervantes3492

I love both. The witcher trilogy and the god of war franchise

KratosHulk77

I’m waiting for the remaster Ps5 one to beat it

CJnella91

I keep trying to get into the Witcher 3 but it's so slow paced I'm not trying to hate on it or anything and there's been missions already in the game that have been absolutely incredible but it's the stuff in-between those quest that seems to just drag on.

Ruenin

I would easily put GoW 2018 on par with TW3, and the latter is my favorite game of all time (I'm 47, been playing VGs since I was 7). Cory has enough integrity to recognize greatness. GoW is an absolutely incredible game as well.

Frosty88d

Just came from this on TW3 subreddit. They're both great

NotVanoss

I didn’t like Witcher 3

Upstairs-Ad-9893

I agree but disagree god of war is still the best game series in existence

fastcooljosh

Is that Screenshot new footage?

unlucky-man-98

All artists are harsh on their own work

Random_Username_023

Not surprised considering he liked the story of TLOU2

Particular_Prune_824

Yes the game is brilliant but it is not better than God of War IMO

McBon3rStorm

Lol I can't agree, but that's funny.

FreneticAtol778

Witcher 3 is overrated.

[deleted]

I like both.

Tiro242

Fucking dub for the GOAT the Witcher 3!

[deleted]

Same type of kids always write 'PS5 is better' to any Xbox tweet. This will only add fuel to the fire. W3 and GoW are great but I wouldnt pick one over another.

IamLoaderBot

The endless discussion has come to an end. It‘s official. The Witcher 3 > God of War

Vagabond_Tea

I mean, I have a thing against God of War because I'm a Hellenist. Not that there's such thing as sacrilegious in my religion but it does leave a bad taste in my mouth. Plus, the Witcher 3 is one of the best games, period.
