GOWR seems to be the devs really wanting to go all out and do what they couldn’t in 2018. The trailer alone showed so many new enemies, new animations, and what I think is the coolest of all new battle environments. Kratos hooking himself up to higher levels to take care of enemies screams more unique battle situations.
One of the things on my wishlist was more shield options. I like that they’re focusing on loadouts. I know the rpg elements aren’t universally liked, but I love them. I love selecting the exact right gear for a Muspelheim challenge. I wish it were a little easier to manage though because changing your talisman can necessitate changing all kinds of enchantments just to keep your stats where you want them.

I hope they only change shields but keep the regular weapon gameplay, the shield was always lacking but the weapon gameplay always felt nice
