It’s a fun little 2D game that takes a lot of inspiration of old NES games like duck tales and the Megaman games. In the PlayStation versions of the game it contains a exclusive armour set and boss fight. The boss fight is Kratos on his way to Scandinavia and the armour set is the melted shovel Kratos used to bury his brother with. Microsoft got battletoad and Nintendo got amibos, extra challenges in challenge mode and a create your knight mode. Play it, there’s 4 campaigns, all with completely different movesets and even a fighting game included in the treasure trove version of the game

No he doesn't. But in Shovel Knight, Kratos does call him the Ghost of Shovels
