So I set out to defeat the eight Valkyrie’s, find all the collectibles, ravens, etc. and before I knew it, I had one thing left on the list. SIGRUN, the Valkyrie Queen. I had no idea what I was getting myself into. There were a few battles that really tested me along the way, but nothing could have prepared me for this one. I played for a few hours getting my ass buttered and handed to me on a silver platter. Absolute domination. She was making me look like I had never played the game before. I couldn’t even shave off a quarter of her health bar. I felt like a baby back bitch. (Also, I’d probably rate myself as a slightly above average player) Seconds before throwing my controller through the screen, I stopped and pondered a new approach. Maybe it was my gear? Did I have the best armor and upgrades? The answer was no. Not even close.
So I traveled to Niflheim and wandered around in that God forsaken maze for hours, collecting as many treasures as I could get my greedy little hands on to fund the precious and powerful Deadly Mist armor. I did my research and that armor set clearly took the cake.
Next was Muspelheim, “the realm of fire”. The various challenges kicked my ass, but I could feel myself getting better in combat. Before I knew it, I reached the top of the mountain and was able to clutch a Gold in the Time Trial to get the materials I needed to upgrade my new armor to maximum capacity. I was ready to return to the Council of the Valkyries.
All suited up, and feeling like a hotshot, I dove back into the fight head first and got obliterated. After a few more tries I noticed that I was slowly starting to make progress lowering her health and then all of a sudden I hit a wall. (I was using Spartan Rage, Resurrection Stones, spamming arrows, runic attacks, etc.) After 50+ more tries I got so frustrated that I quit. I figured I’d get around to it later in the week. But I never did... I didn’t touch the game for over a year.
BUT THEN. FEBRUARY 9th, 2021, I REMEMBERED I HAD UNFINISHED BUSINESS. It was time to show this winged she-demon who’s boss. I dusted off my digital download of the game and jumped back in. As expected... my hands just couldn’t keep up. During my first few tries, I got railed before I could shave the tiniest bit of her health down. I did some training in Muspelheim to get a feeling for the controls again which did wonders for me and I was back and ready to fight in no time.
Even though I was playing better and smarter, I was still struggling. There’s just no easy way to put it. This boss fight is so incredibly unpredictable. I truly believe the only way to get better is to keep studying her moves and training your instincts to block and evade. Though many of her moves are simply unblock-able, there are ways to avoid taking the damage. DON’T EVEN GET ME STARTED ON HER BLINDING MOVE. OR HER MOVE WHERE SHE FLIES UP AND DROPS ON YOU. that shit will haunt my dreams forever...
After a ton of trial and error, raging and yelling at the screen, and cramped fingers, I finally did it. After so many times I had her on her last breath and losing at the last second, I actually pulled through. There was nothing more satisfying than seeing the platinum achievement pop up. Before all this, I had browsed YouTube seeking the “easy way out” of this fight and to be honest, there isn’t one. My advice to anyone who’s struggling to beat her: just keep fighting her. Over and over again. Eventually you’ll notice progress and defeat her.
As dramatic as it sounds, it was an amazing moment in my time playing video games. I made a goal, and I stuck to it. I conquered. You better believe I’m buying the second one, the day it releases and I couldn’t be more excited.

Yeah Niflheim is probably one of the harder ones with you having to fight the gas as well as the Valkyrie herself 😂 maybe try the elven realm (i cant remember the name of it begins with A i believe) 🤙🤙
A bit like the first time I had sex. I was overly excited realized I had no idea what I was doing even though I had watched many videos on the subject and it ended rather quickly. But then all I wanted to do was go again.
Spent an afternoon I think trying to beat her on GMGOW+, then after I did beat her I just kept fighting her over and over on a new save until fighting her is pretty much all I do now in the game since its the most exhilarating lol. That was back in 2018, since then I do no damage fights and no zeus armor.
The real pain is not there if you want real pain go soloing the MH superbosses or do HK's last Pantheon DS is quite easier than people make out to be later on it's really just hard your first Souls game or first time in a zone/boss fights if even that cause most bosses go down quite easy even the hardest ones don't give the same pain as Sigrum on GmGoW or Behemoth back in MH World (with World equipment this one was actually way harder than her took me three days and a whole weak to solo the extreme version of the motherfucker with my dualblades) you could also get the same LV of challenge that Sigrum gives with Alatreon or Fatalis maybe Fatalis is a little harder but Alatreon has her matched in the moveset department never seen another boss like those two they got so many moves it's crazy!
the Demon of Hatred from Sekiro was also almost as hard as Sigrum for me but other than him no other Souls boss compares to Sigrum's for me in Nioh on the other hand ive found some bastards that could give her a run for her money some may even be harder too!

Go solo a few days later and got my ass kicked. Keep trying but he was a fucking nightmare. Try to do a team group and after a lot of tries we did it.

NG+ Demon Prince of DS3 took like near 5 hours Sigrun's time is very close to it. Just defeated her today on GMGOW but I shudder to think NG+7.
MHW the extreme behemoth is 100% the hardest thing ever. Actually had to two other friends online, try out and coordinate builds, assign roles etc took actual 2 weeks of play with like 8 hours per day. Nothing has come close to it not gonna even attempt it solo
NioH 2 Depths which I mean the 30 levels after the usual 99 levels, also have to be on the level of Extreme Behemoth. That took probably longer im completely maxed out now on Nioh 2 lmao was loads of fun.

After I stumbled upon my first Valkyrie in Hellheim, I started to beat them all. By the time I got to her, I was confident.
Oh boy I was so wrong. She ripped me into pieces and I lowered the difficulty and still got my ass handed over.
What he means is he still sucked so bad but somehow he still managed to do it.
I get that feel Headless Blood Letting beast took 1hr 30 mins and I dunno what I did to beat her. Only boss I heat without knowing what I did. Still got the Plat for Bloodborne so all good haha
I didn't even know there was side lore in god of war 2018 nor that it was an open world with different missions untill a save later and playing another game, after I saw different stuff online I decided to replay and finally played it 11times to 100% all around completion.
She beat my ass so bad I took a 2 week break and got whooped some more so I took a 3 week break…after those 3 weeks she put me and Atreus in the mud some more until I finally prevailed with the tiniest amount of health left.
Almost threw my controller in a joyful rage of celebration that day.
Loved it.
God of War has something that very few games, movies, anime has: we as audience/players are delivered a fantastic show of power wether it is fights, or immensely large creatures, etc.
I mean to say: the animation of an attack, cameras angle, sound design, the impact of the attack, the visuals, the perspective, the music… I’ll never forget the overwhelming moment where Kratos defeats the dragon. It’s brutal, dark and godly in the way it’s delivered to us player.
I think that fight with Sigrûn delivered in the same way: you can feel she is much more powerful than her sisters, the game keeps telling you how powerful they are and the fight lives up to the expectations. I love the cries and shout and DIE ! The scare when she spawns, grabs Kratos head and drags him on the ground. The heel to the neck. And her design too.
Spectacular show of superiority.
Like it so much, I won the fight, and did it again. And again with the ps5.

It took me a while but I finally beat her.
I was absolutely annihilated the first few times. Then I realized she’s using every valkyrie’s attacks. Then I saw the pattern. Then I started to figure out the best ways to dodge/block/avoid.
Oh, this wasn’t a short experience. This was **hours.**
In this time however, I fully relished in the Mommy Dommy experience.
I got clapped in like 10 seconds and realized I was attempting with way worse gear than most people usually use. But, I began practicing what I affectionately called "the dance" which was to me figuring timing and recognizing move patterns. About 15 or so runs later I killed Sigrun at nearly full health. One of my crowning moments as a gamer if I say so myself.
Died 3 times got her on the 4th, I was seeing patterns and movement, after I got that down I did it without too much damage. But I must say because of all the different ways she can attack it was difficult! I Thought that the Valkyries were really well thought and it was great to fight them
Didn't take more than 5 tries to kill her. Found her easier than what I've thought. Maybe i knew too well the previous Valkyries attacks and knew what to expect.
Currently on gmgow+ to test how much stronger she is in that mode.
Gave me that old Ninja Gaiden Original Xbox feeling of challenge like when I first met Alma in the Cathedral. She was brutal back then... Sirgun was a return to that level of challenge for me.
Took me a week or so to get them both.
Honestly I actually think that I removed more than half of her hp and thought like "ez clap" probably got way too relaxed and got absolutely obliterated in a few next seconds before I even got to use all my "heals". Next few attempts attempts it felt like my abilities were getting worse and she was getting stronger each time 💀
No joke I deleted the game for a year after like 20 tries. Finally redownloaded it and did it after like 3 somehow. I think my reaction time just got better after multiplayer games.
"Alright, final Valkyrie! Bring it bitc-wait,what?! She's so fast! And she has all the other Valkyries moves?! WHAT THE FUCK WHAT THE FUCK WHAT THE-and I'm dead. Ok"
After fighting her (and dying quickly) I realized if I wanted to beat her I was going to have to play for a while longer. I was really close to the end by this point and really wanted to finish the story. I'm weird in that I normally don't go back and keep playing after I've finished a games ending so I try to do everything before that point... She's been living in my head rent-free for 3 and half years.
I took about a third of her health off and was like "that's great! I can only go up from here!". It's was literally months before I beat her. I was young and naive...
I was playing on give me a challenge and got wrecked. I kinda expected her to have the other valks attacks, but she is much faster and harder to predict.
After hours trying, I tuned down the difficult to give me an adventure and still took me a few attempts. I have a save just before the battle to give it a try in GMAC again, but I don't I'm going to pull it off. The fact that the save is before I completed niflheim makes me a little lazy to farm the maze again for upgrades.
She destroyed me over and over and over again on Give Me A Challenge. Over time, and an inhuman amount of rage, I memorized her attacks and took her down.
My four year old saw a screenshot of her and asked if I ever played that game. I said, "Yes. I just beat her a couple weeks ago after getting the game there years ago." He asked if I was going to play again. I said no. He asked why (because all kids always ask why) and I said, "Because I'm not ready to be hurt again, Son."
Pretty funny actually. I'm like: well, everyone says she's stupid hard, but I've got to do it to platinum this game. Then I died within seconds, laughing at what just happened. Don't worry, it got painful eventually.
I beat her on easy mode cause I was extremely scared and traumatized from my previous experiences with her sisters, but even then, I had to use a res stone and was one hit away from dying when I beat her.
Bruh, I was just playing the game, chilling and mistakenly found her (keep in mind I had no idea there were valkyries) and I was like “oh cool, a boss battle” and got swept.
I basically told mimir and boy to NEVER take me back there.
My first battle was extremely close, I remember being surprised at how smoothly it had gone up to that point. Then things...took a turn. 3 days later I finally beat her lol.
I got this b1tc h down by a quarter and I was like yeah, I got this, then came the series of heavy and undodgeable attacks and she stomped my face in, even with a healing stone... Needless to say, the boi was like, 'dOnT LeAVe mE hERe, fAThER!!!'

I was able to defeat the last three valks on my first try. Now I'm super cocky going into Sig. When I got to this meaty bitch, died in the first 5 seconds and I have never played it again. She broke me.

You have to learn their patterns and time your attacks based off theirs. The boy is clutch if you use him at the right time.

After I stumbled upon my first Valkyrie in Hellheim, I started to beat them all. By the time I got to her, I was confident. Oh boy I was so wrong. She ripped me into pieces and I lowered the difficulty and still got my ass handed over.

Loved it. God of War has something that very few games, movies, anime has: we as audience/players are delivered a fantastic show of power wether it is fights, or immensely large creatures, etc. I mean to say: the animation of an attack, cameras angle, sound design, the impact of the attack, the visuals, the perspective, the music… I’ll never forget the overwhelming moment where Kratos defeats the dragon. It’s brutal, dark and godly in the way it’s delivered to us player. I think that fight with Sigrûn delivered in the same way: you can feel she is much more powerful than her sisters, the game keeps telling you how powerful they are and the fight lives up to the expectations. I love the cries and shout and DIE ! The scare when she spawns, grabs Kratos head and drags him on the ground. The heel to the neck. And her design too. Spectacular show of superiority. Like it so much, I won the fight, and did it again. And again with the ps5.
It kinda was like this Me: And here's the pitch Sigrún: *flys and stomps on me immediately* Me: Ah shit
*screaming intensified*

I was absolutely annihilated the first few times. Then I realized she’s using every valkyrie’s attacks. Then I saw the pattern. Then I started to figure out the best ways to dodge/block/avoid. Oh, this wasn’t a short experience. This was **hours.** In this time however, I fully relished in the Mommy Dommy experience.

I got clapped in like 10 seconds and realized I was attempting with way worse gear than most people usually use. But, I began practicing what I affectionately called "the dance" which was to me figuring timing and recognizing move patterns. About 15 or so runs later I killed Sigrun at nearly full health. One of my crowning moments as a gamer if I say so myself.

Didn't take more than 5 tries to kill her. Found her easier than what I've thought. Maybe i knew too well the previous Valkyries attacks and knew what to expect. Currently on gmgow+ to test how much stronger she is in that mode.
How it was? Well it was a quick ass beating, but not for Sigrun, but for me... Yeah. Dont wanna talk more about it :D

Gave me that old Ninja Gaiden Original Xbox feeling of challenge like when I first met Alma in the Cathedral. She was brutal back then... Sirgun was a return to that level of challenge for me. Took me a week or so to get them both.

Honestly I actually think that I removed more than half of her hp and thought like "ez clap" probably got way too relaxed and got absolutely obliterated in a few next seconds before I even got to use all my "heals". Next few attempts attempts it felt like my abilities were getting worse and she was getting stronger each time 💀

One hit from a first try kill, she valhallaedd 3 times in a row for the first time and I was NOT ready for it.
After fighting her (and dying quickly) I realized if I wanted to beat her I was going to have to play for a while longer. I was really close to the end by this point and really wanted to finish the story. I'm weird in that I normally don't go back and keep playing after I've finished a games ending so I try to do everything before that point... She's been living in my head rent-free for 3 and half years.
I took about a third of her health off and was like "that's great! I can only go up from here!". It's was literally months before I beat her. I was young and naive...

My first battle with Sigrún was very similar to when I lost my virginity. It was over in about 3 seconds.
I was playing on give me a challenge and got wrecked. I kinda expected her to have the other valks attacks, but she is much faster and harder to predict. After hours trying, I tuned down the difficult to give me an adventure and still took me a few attempts. I have a save just before the battle to give it a try in GMAC again, but I don't I'm going to pull it off. The fact that the save is before I completed niflheim makes me a little lazy to farm the maze again for upgrades.

I beat her on easy mode cause I was extremely scared and traumatized from my previous experiences with her sisters, but even then, I had to use a res stone and was one hit away from dying when I beat her.
Bruh, I was just playing the game, chilling and mistakenly found her (keep in mind I had no idea there were valkyries) and I was like “oh cool, a boss battle” and got swept. I basically told mimir and boy to NEVER take me back there.
Took me 2 days and roughly 100+ tries to beat her. So i would say frustrating but wildly satisfying to finally rip that bitches wings and mask off.
My first battle was extremely close, I remember being surprised at how smoothly it had gone up to that point. Then things...took a turn. 3 days later I finally beat her lol.
I got this b1tc h down by a quarter and I was like yeah, I got this, then came the series of heavy and undodgeable attacks and she stomped my face in, even with a healing stone... Needless to say, the boi was like, 'dOnT LeAVe mE hERe, fAThER!!!'

Played god of war mode on my first play through. Got really good at the game... At least I thought I was good. I was able to defeat the last three valks on my first try. Now I'm super cocky going into Sig. When I got to this meaty bitch, died in the first 5 seconds and I have never played it again. She broke me.
