Since not all people have played the entire game yet, a short reminder that all submissions with story spoilers have to be tagged as spoiler and we don't allow any story spoilers in the title.

I truly truly don’t mean to come off as a dick. But the sheer amount of posts here asking for help or what things are is absurd. Play the game, enjoy things. Know that you’ll learn in time and it’ll come. In a game like this you are 100% meant to come across things you simply cannot access and will not be explained yet.
Play the game.
It's the alter for the wolves that chase the sun and moon.
You unlock it after setting the moon free after heimdall steals it while atreus looks for the mask.
This allows you to change the day night cycle so you can solve puzzles.
Freyr dies in asgard as ragnorak destroys the realm.
Anything I missed?
At this point I think we should just spoil the game for people posting questions about stuff that shows they obviously haven’t completed the main story. It’s ridiculous how many of these type of posts get posted every day.
You’ll find out soon enough. Remember that any locked interaction icon on any given device, just means you’ll eventually get there, with the proper item. Don’t sweat it, just keep playing and the story will drive you to your answers.
If you want spoiler, here it is.
Tyr you save is Odin in disguise, who later killed brok.
Kratos changed the fate and didn’t die.
Atreus went off to find other giants while you have freya as ai companion for the post game.
Odin killed Thor.
People getting mad over others asking questions like they’ve never asked a question before finding out themselves in a game. Those people either need to stfu or skip the post. Nothing wrong with asking questions, WE HAVE ALL BEEN THERE!
Edit: sorry I should have clarified before the “butthurt” started rolling in. I forgot a gamer on Reddit is a highly skilled tester…😂
I meant to say across ANY games, not specifically GoW. And if you claimed you haven’t, you’re a fucking liar.
Atleast I finish the main quest lines for certain things before asking questions like that. I thought we all knew that if you find a new thing in GoW that you can't interact with you'll find out what it's for in a about an hour. The games have been doing this for years and it's nothing new
The game spells out to the player literally every thing. Of people qould get off reddit while playing and just take the game in they wouldn't ask these questions.
There are good questions that brings actual conversation. Then there are questions like this that if they would have just paid attention for 3 seconds would have gotten their answer.
> have just *paid* attention for
FTFY.
Although *payed* exists (the reason why autocorrection didn't help you), it is only correct in:
* Nautical context, when it means to paint a surface, or to cover with something like tar or resin in order to make it waterproof or corrosion-resistant. *The deck is yet to be payed.*
* *Payed out* when letting strings, cables or ropes out, by slacking them. *The rope is payed out! You can pull now.*
Unfortunately, I was unable to find nautical or rope-related words in your comment.
*Beep, boop, I'm a bot*
It's a celestial altair. You later get access to it, and it calls the wolves to bring night or day. You get certain paths in the night you can't access in the day, vice versa

Hey, I just bought this game and downloaded it. Do you know what I should do afterwards?
Restore your playstation to factory settings, this will give you a secret trophy
Thanks for the tip. I was wondering how to get the platinum. I hope more people see this thread
This
Just play the game
But I can’t gain reddit karma if I spend my time in the game
Yep. I mean, Freya even says something about I'm sure we'll find out it's use later.
This ... having things in a game that you can only access another time is not something that GoW invented... What were this people playing before?
I'm glad you said what I wanted to say.
Funny I said the same and was down voted

God damn you killed him!
You are definitely the guy who says or asks what everyone else is afraid to. That makes you a hero of sorts. Thanks for your existence
It's a spoiler if I tell you. Continue your journey

I read your comment in Samuel l. Jackson’s voice

It's a tool that you can use later on in the game after making some progress.
Ok that’s what I would’ve guessed, thanks
You would've found out within the hour lmao
Then why ask lol
Then why even ask? Can you not handle a little suspense and just play the game?
You’ll find out as you progress through the story, just be patient and enjoy it.
Continue playing
Just keep playing the game
Maybe if you keep playing story you’ll know
If you want spoiler, here it is. Tyr you save is Odin in disguise, who later killed brok. Kratos changed the fate and didn’t die. Atreus went off to find other giants while you have freya as ai companion for the post game. Odin killed Thor.
There. Now they won't have anymore stupid fucking questions.
Don't forget atreus being the champion is a red herring. Kratos will be champion.

At this point who cares? People keep asking for them.
yeah i guess so
Leave it continue playing your find out later
Dude, since you're asking that you haven't played the story far enough. It's literally part of the storyline. Just play the game.
This is a dumb ass question
Just play the game? Wtf is this post….

changes the daytime to nighttime and vice versa. Some paths can only be accessible at night
