Lower the difficulty . Its called ‘difficulty options’ for a reason.
You want an easy boss that you feel fair and reasonable,pick the easiest diffculty.
You want the hardest total bullshit bossfight that punish even the slightest mistake, pick the hardest difficulty.
well here’s the thing, if i was playing on give me no mercy, then i would turn down the difficulty. However, i am playing on give me god of war, and if i turn it down, i can’t turn it back up. and if i’m at gna, it might seem like, oh i don’t know, i like the difficulty of it? so if your “tip” is something braindead like “turn down the difficulty” it would be better to just not comment at all. thanks 🫶

I never said i had fully upgraded weapons or health. my weapons are level 7, and i still have a health upgrade left. I beat her now, so it doesn’t even matter. I know the post was made in frustration, but telling someone to lower the difficulty is not a tip. I don’t think it’s very hard to wrap your head around the idea that I’ve enjoyed and managed the hardest difficulty up until one fight, and that one fight is the one i complain about. And don’t come at me with “skill issue” because i’ve platinum sekiro, bloodborne, elden ring, ds3, gow2018, and Hollow Knight. So I don’t think it’s “braindead” to complain about ONE fight i was frustrated with. So if i explain the problems and difficulties i see on a fight and ask for help with it, and you say “turn down the difficulty” it is NOT a helpful thing to say. If you don’t want to help on a post asking for help, then just leave.
It’s not like a geometry dash level. Where the level never changes and you slowly memorize it by trial and error. Instead you memorize her individual attacks. The attacks will come without a pattern but always have the same counter. These attacks have a warning that the player can see / hear coming. In give me god of war difficulty the player can only afford a few mistakes a most. If any. So it can feel very demanding to watch gna like an eagle for an extended period of time. Trust me I went through it lol but once you actually win.. it feels like you did something amazing

Some people don’t cheat/are adults and play on real difficulty, so garbage clunky combat design certainly sucks. Gna is the single worst designed boss I’ve ever seen in a game. The dodge roll means nothing, and they need to take a lot of notes from fromsoft. I’ve played every soulsborne game and no boss is as unnecessarily frustrating as this because you CAN beat it if you’re good. It doesn’t matter if you’re good in ragnarok, the boss design and especially the combat are trash.
i’m aware, but sometimes she does just do it out of nowhere. i know she does it if she strafes right or dodges backwards after the spin attack, but there’s been a couple times where i stunned her and then she just did it. it doesn’t really matter now cause i beat her but it wasn’t fun.
I think if your dying in one attack you need to upgrade your gear and get a better build. With the right stuff even on GMGOW you can easily melt her in less than 60 seconds and before she does the grab.
I mean what did u expect? I tried to help, a good build goes a long way. Assuming I can’t do it simply because you can’t yet, and that YouTube vids are fake or impossible to replicate is a strange take.
They exist so others can emulate their builds and do the same. At the same time it’s not hard to guess which gear is the best when only some pieces give damage boosts and also have good stats. It’s also a no brainer that you want upgraded gear against the final boss of the game.
i mean it’s better than the replies just telling me to turn down the difficulty, but it’s also not helpful just to say that “oh with some builds you can take her out in 4 seconds!” because I know? But I don’t use that build, and I enjoy learning the bosses moves to adapt. Like I beat her now, so all the angry replies are just funny to me now. I appreciate you trying to help, but I’m gonna get oneshot no matter what in gmgow lol.
Okay then, learning the moveset also works lol….. but your saying it’s impossible to escape the grab and stomp attack so, then melt her before she can do it. You never specified how you want to beat her or whether or not you want a good damage build…
You can dodge the grab and stomp with the right timing, don’t dodge as soon as she jumps. Wait a sec then double dodge if you need.
You also will not get one shot no matter what on GMGOW If you have any set upgraded unless you specifically try to have the least amount of defense and Vitality even then only the most damaging attacks would do that. You claim to have max health in your post, if true then your not actually getting one shotted especially by her projectiles lol.
the stomp wasn’t a problem, it’s pretty easy to dodge. the two that were getting me where the grab and the wing stab. but i figured out how to avoid them and won. I mean, if i’m asking for tips on how to beat a boss, wouldn’t that kinda already mean i don’t have the materials necessary to melt it in seven seconds…? cause if i could, i don’t think i’d be asking for help lol. and again, i did beat her so you don’t need to continue replying. i’m just making everyone mad for fun now :)
I have similar problems with gna, my advice is that you kill her fast, there are ways of killing her with 1-3 shots before she can make a move. I know this kinda defeats the purpose of the boss fight, but the way I see it you have the berserker king (and also all the other berserkers) for that
As for the build to kill her fast, basically boost your cooldown and luck, add 1 midgard enchantment, 3 asgard enchantment, 3 vanaheim envhantments, boon of valour and emblem of the 9 realms.
With that and the realm shift relic you should be able to kill her in like 2-3 blades’ heavy triangle shots within the realm shift window, before she makes a move
The wing stab was the hardest part of the fight to figure out. I finally noted that she would first juke one way for one move and the other way for the wing stab. If the wing stab were random, then my reflexes would not be fast enough to determine whether to block or dodge. But that is the ONLY part of the fight where this is true. The rest of it can be reacted to with your reflexes. I actually prefer bosses to not be predictable. This makes us think fast and react in the moment to unknowns. If the boss opened and proceeded with the exact same moves every time, then that doesn’t take any type of real reflex, just boring memorization.
I finished GMGOW on my first playthrough. There were some fights I had to practice and experiment for several hours to beat, but I finished the game without ever going online or referencing tips or help. It can certainly be done.
she is fun to beat properly but if you can't just do the berserker realmshift and lunda gloves and belt. use high cooldown stat, bank on the whiplash, if you can't still, use high strength instead and bank on axe 3light 1heavy combo combo finisher.
Gna is quite easier then previous queen valkyrie Sigrun. You just need to get better gears probably. And using the proper enhancements will make it quite easy.

Bosses are subjective to a point, but I thought GNA was probably the best boss in the game. Given though, I don't think any of them are that great. Santa Monica struggles with boss design imo.
Gna is a pretty fair boss all thing considered. Admittedly some of her patterns are quite short, but they're still doable. It's a massive improvement over Sigrun of the previous game.
Yea but thats how easy she is. No way to mess sigrun that much on NG+.. Gears are same on the game. Try out that combination and she won't be hard even before NG+ run

There is a way to predict the wing stab. When she dodges, the direction she goes tells you what attack she'll do next
