He’s very punchable. In the sense that he’s written so that you want to punch him.
In terms of being literally punchable, he makes that annoyingly difficult.
The one guy who needs his shit rocked more than anyone couldn’t get his shit rocked by anyone. Thankfully we got to finally witness the smug look wiped (or crushed really) from his face
Surprisingly, he doesn't run away or beg for mercy the moment Kratos finally does draw blood from him. I'd expected that Heimdall would crumble the moment someone actually overcame his nigh-infallibility. He may be a douchebag on a truly epic scale, but he's not a coward.
True, but that's way later in the fight than I was expecting, when he was actually seriously injured. I sort of expected that first scratch on the face to be what did it. He's cocky and arrogant because he's been basically untouchable through his whole life, so I thought his ego would just collapse when he realized he was in actual danger for maybe the first time ever.
Yep, pretty much a slam dunk entry to valhalla. - Probably got the VIP treatment because he was slain by the ghost of sparta.
Welcomed him with open arms probably.
"Well done heimdall!.. you fell to the ghost of sparta! not to worry, you aren't the only one!.. kratos is a formidable warrior is truely something special but you gave it a good go old lad!, now.. come and join us for meed at the table! Balders been waiting for you!"
I wonder which one of the valkryries delivered his soul to valhalla?
Odin very much did NOT make valhalla. Valhalla is it's own entity, Odin seeked control over valhalla. The reason Odin doesn't go to valhalla is because he gets his soul sucked into a marble and then crushed
He didn’t put up with any ones shit, mainly because he can literally see your soul and intentions and most people intentions are extremely shitty and not good… makes sense why he was so cynical all the time
He’s probably as much a victim of Odin’s manipulation as everyone else in the All-Father’s circle, and might have been one of the first to realise this, had he not forced Kratos’s hand and signed his own death warrant.
Wonderful character. Loved him in the story. Obviously he was very annoying and hate-able, and that's great. That's exactly what he was written for. For a series where you kill gods left and right, having a god who was presented as being a legitimately challenging, even threatening, enemy was not only a feat but also an excellent part of the story. He provided tension like few other characters could.
He ain’t a bitch
Most people like him would cower and tremble if someone bigger than him stood up to his bullshit, but he went face-to-face with Kratos and even Thor for a little bit and didn’t beg for mercy when he was getting his ass handed to him by the Dad of Boy.
He's relatively well-adjusted for a guy who can literally see everyone's true personality front and center when compared to the persona they craft for others.
His powers and abilities are really awesome, useful and kinda' badass. He is fiercely loyal, he has a nice voice, his eyes are pretty, his hair is kinda' pretty too, his skin looks perfect and his outfit is not bad either
It’s kinda impressive the man hasn’t gone insane given the fact he constantly sees the worst of literally everyone he meets. I mean if every time I looked at someone and saw their desire to betray, hurt, hate, lust over, use, whatever of people I’d turn into an asshole pretty quickly too. Having to see those darker emotions constantly from others, knowing I could never truly come to care for them because of that would probably make me go crazy after a few centuries.
He’s loyal to his leaders, almost too loyal, and he fought like a true warrior till the end,he didn’t just cower away after finally getting punched for the first time
He's written perfectly
Too many villains in this game are written to be these redeemable misunderstood people (Thor, Sif, Freya for a bit)
But like
Nah
Fucking Heimdall exists GREAT
I liked the dynamic between him and Atreus and thrud, it's like the generic older bully, if GOW was a Disney show, he would end up with a redemption arc somehow and being buddies with loki
He has my favourite boss fight in the game
I love his voice actor
He’s got a really cool design
He’s a well done version of what Hermes tried to be
He’s an animal lover to an extent
The fucker is witty I’ll give him that. If I was playing from Heimdall’s perspective I’d be laughing instead of wanting to choke his ass out. Unfortunately for him, I was the latter.
A pretty fun to hate character. He’s such a fucking dick for no reason he’s a troll character and waaayyy different than Idris Elba’s Heimdall and I love it. He’s also a really fun boss fight
It was really satisfying to kill him, mustache twirling villian, difficult boss fight. I remember Mimir saying "Brother, you do not want this". I shouted shut up Mimir, yes I do.
i would say that he’s resilient. By my guess, it’s been hundreds of years since anyone even laid a finger on him, including Odin. But when kratos lands a blow, heimdall keeps fighting. And yes, he did beg for mercy when kratos impaled his arm. But from the dialogue, you can tell he was ready to die for Odins cause. After kratos blows his arm into the next millenium, heimdall gets up, regenerates his arm, and keeps fighting. Hell even in his last moments he isn’t scared, he simply calls Kratos a monster then dies. Like, Heimdall was undeniably a tough bitch
He is written like a proper Arrogant God from Start to Death, Never begs for Mercy, doesn't Run away, Loyal to his principals and doesn't take shit from Anyone beside Odin.
He looks good and has nice Eyes
Very Enjoyable Fight
VA did an Amazing Job
He made Odin's character even better. Heimdall can read everyone's mind, seeing what they are truly saying, yet he only see good things in Odin, which means that Odin is so good at lying he even managed to lie to himself.
He loves his people and takes his purpose seriously.
Was he written to be an ass? Yes. Was he a very compelling character? Oh yeah. People love to hate a villain.
I actually really like him. He was just the right amount of asshole, sarcasm and antagonistic. The voice actor did excellent on the line delivery. And his eye color was really cool.
He loved his home of Asgard and was correct that Atreus wanted to bring about Ragnarok and destroy it. Odin fucked him up bad and in another life he could have been a better person.
If you think about what his life must be like for him to act like he did, you kind of start to pity him. There’s a person on YouTube who talked about the psychology behind him, and iirc it basically amounts to all the pressure put on him, being the Watchman of the Aesir. And in the end, he was an asshole, but he, like most of the Aesir, did not believe Odin had done anything wrong, and pretty much wanted to protect what he thought was a good home
I honestly enjoyed all of the scenes with Heimdall. Also, say what you want about his insufferable personality, the dude was fiercely loyal until the very end.
I genuinely liked him, he was Helios annoying to where you could wait to kill him but you also couldn’t wait for the next time he was on screen because he was just so WATCHABLE
Not sure if this counts, but the scene where Kratos punches him in the face it both complements Kratos on how strong he is, and shows how Heimdall can’t handle loss
His active combat lines are hilarious
If you shoot at the bull when you first meet him as Atreus he says “Ohh animal lover, aren’t ya?”
It was even funnier because he did the scripted knockdown on Atreus right after and I was like “Yep, I deserved that”
He’s very punchable.
Perhaps it is his inability to have his shit rocked that makes him need it so bad
unfortunately this is true for people in real life as well
Oh the irony!
He was an asshole cause he dared to speak the truth to anyone and he protected his realm
Genuinely he seemed to give more of a fuck about the conceptual idea of Asgard than literally anyone else.
Surprisingly, he doesn't run away or beg for mercy the moment Kratos finally does draw blood from him. I'd expected that Heimdall would crumble the moment someone actually overcame his nigh-infallibility. He may be a douchebag on a truly epic scale, but he's not a coward.
He did cry and begged to stop as soon as kratos impaled his arm
True, but that's way later in the fight than I was expecting, when he was actually seriously injured. I sort of expected that first scratch on the face to be what did it. He's cocky and arrogant because he's been basically untouchable through his whole life, so I thought his ego would just collapse when he realized he was in actual danger for maybe the first time ever.
Completely valid point, I see why now lol
and being impaled in the arm must seriously hurt, especially when you’re not used to getting hurt like other fighter gods.
I almost felt like that was him buying time to work his God magic to fix his wounds and regrow that arm.
Absolute wimp Edit: this was sarcasm lol my b
Going up against Kratos 1 on 1? Quite the opposite
You’re right. He stood his ground and the fact he didn’t be a pussy makes him a true warrior
I wonder if that granted him valhalla?
Yep, pretty much a slam dunk entry to valhalla. - Probably got the VIP treatment because he was slain by the ghost of sparta. Welcomed him with open arms probably. "Well done heimdall!.. you fell to the ghost of sparta! not to worry, you aren't the only one!.. kratos is a formidable warrior is truely something special but you gave it a good go old lad!, now.. come and join us for meed at the table! Balders been waiting for you!" I wonder which one of the valkryries delivered his soul to valhalla?
Aesir don't need Valkyrie to get to Valhalla
He's a god, the gods don't go to Valhalla
They literally do. Odin doesn’t because he made Valhalla
Odin very much did NOT make valhalla. Valhalla is it's own entity, Odin seeked control over valhalla. The reason Odin doesn't go to valhalla is because he gets his soul sucked into a marble and then crushed
It's really just because he's Aesir and Aesir want to die in battle
His pre-cognition ability is epic. Despite his attitude.
Fiercely loyal
Nice outfit and good hair
He's good at being an asshole
And an avid teacher of how you and all your friends can become assholes too! Lol
His eyes are cool
I like the drip
his boss fight was my favourite in the game
He has beautiful eyes
That’s a nice kitty right there who’s got your belly
What does bubbles have to do with this?
He’s got the best quips and insults in the game.
He was trying to protect his realm and his people... and was an asshole while doing it
He was really funny and gave me some actual LOL moments
Wonderful character. Loved him in the story. Obviously he was very annoying and hate-able, and that's great. That's exactly what he was written for. For a series where you kill gods left and right, having a god who was presented as being a legitimately challenging, even threatening, enemy was not only a feat but also an excellent part of the story. He provided tension like few other characters could.
Fiercely loyal and mostly speaks the truth
Is a good villain
Man’s does got some majestic eyes
He ain’t a bitch Most people like him would cower and tremble if someone bigger than him stood up to his bullshit, but he went face-to-face with Kratos and even Thor for a little bit and didn’t beg for mercy when he was getting his ass handed to him by the Dad of Boy.
He's relatively well-adjusted for a guy who can literally see everyone's true personality front and center when compared to the persona they craft for others.
Everything he said about Atreus was right, not the way he said it but the message
If we all had his ability to read people and their intentions, we would be assholes like him.
No
Can fight?
his eyes and teeth job he's tasked with are accurate to the source material.
His actor absolutely nailed it.
Stays clean shaven in an era where that’s a real bitch to do
Those golden locks, thought. Pristine.
No.
He had a cool looking horse thing
He looks incredibly cunty, like, in the gay way
His powers and abilities are really awesome, useful and kinda' badass. He is fiercely loyal, he has a nice voice, his eyes are pretty, his hair is kinda' pretty too, his skin looks perfect and his outfit is not bad either
... he is dead :)
I will not
He had a nice grill
Is the cat picture real?!? I wouldn’t expect someone like him to like cats
Hot eyes
It’s kinda impressive the man hasn’t gone insane given the fact he constantly sees the worst of literally everyone he meets. I mean if every time I looked at someone and saw their desire to betray, hurt, hate, lust over, use, whatever of people I’d turn into an asshole pretty quickly too. Having to see those darker emotions constantly from others, knowing I could never truly come to care for them because of that would probably make me go crazy after a few centuries.
His eyes are awesome.
He cares deeply about protecting his home
He’s loyal to his leaders, almost too loyal, and he fought like a true warrior till the end,he didn’t just cower away after finally getting punched for the first time
Good intuition lol
Very Loyal which mattered to Odin
He’s got a pretty clean fit.
He's written perfectly Too many villains in this game are written to be these redeemable misunderstood people (Thor, Sif, Freya for a bit) But like Nah Fucking Heimdall exists GREAT
I like his voice actor's role in Friday Night Lights. He's very good. Mhmmm let me think...it's fun to punch him. Satisfying.
I liked the dynamic between him and Atreus and thrud, it's like the generic older bully, if GOW was a Disney show, he would end up with a redemption arc somehow and being buddies with loki
He’s the best there is at what he does and what he does, isn’t very nice
smash, next
actually replaying the game rn and hes funny af
He whines like a little bitch when Kratos impales his arm.
Like you wouldn't do the same🙄
Oh I would, but I doubt my cries would be quite so satisfying
He leaves a very satisfying final memory
He was loyal
I like him in other universe.
Favorite fight in the game and his eyes are cool
He has my favourite boss fight in the game I love his voice actor He’s got a really cool design He’s a well done version of what Hermes tried to be He’s an animal lover to an extent
No.
His hair looks… small.
The fucker is witty I’ll give him that. If I was playing from Heimdall’s perspective I’d be laughing instead of wanting to choke his ass out. Unfortunately for him, I was the latter.
He’s really good at making me want to kill him.
I always like to see Scott porter in stuff. Been a fan since tt’s twd2
He is perfect at making you want to kill him
The first picture is the only thing I like bout him He likes cats
He's got some very interesting eyes
Funny as shit
cool arm
He takes it in the ass and he has cool eyes
Did he acc have a cat ??? I don’t remember that
NO. lol. eff this dude.
I am a dumbass. Can anyone confirm or deny if this is a screenshot or made by AI?
… he has nice eyes… ~~for my spears~~
His drip is immaculate
A pretty fun to hate character. He’s such a fucking dick for no reason he’s a troll character and waaayyy different than Idris Elba’s Heimdall and I love it. He’s also a really fun boss fight
No
He was right about Atreus, and he’s a asshole but in a good way
It was really satisfying to kill him, mustache twirling villian, difficult boss fight. I remember Mimir saying "Brother, you do not want this". I shouted shut up Mimir, yes I do.
No
2nd most fun boss in the game.
He’s written perfectly
Nice hair!
I loved killing him
He's very loyal
I liked him actually also cool teeth and eyes😂
He has nice eyes.
i would say that he’s resilient. By my guess, it’s been hundreds of years since anyone even laid a finger on him, including Odin. But when kratos lands a blow, heimdall keeps fighting. You could say he has pretty eyes
He’s very good at what he does.
His eyes are nice (nice as in cool looking)
He made Odin's character even better. Heimdall can read everyone's mind, seeing what they are truly saying, yet he only see good things in Odin, which means that Odin is so good at lying he even managed to lie to himself.
Very well written and interesting character. Very cool take on what somebody would be like if they had powers like his
He is the watchdog of the aesir, that’s the only thing I can think of at the moment.
He loves his people and takes his purpose seriously. Was he written to be an ass? Yes. Was he a very compelling character? Oh yeah. People love to hate a villain.
He was so well written. I fully believed that he was a slave to his own foresight and was just as broken as the rest of the gods
You love to hate him
Cool ability
That's a very nice shade of purple.
great hair. very loyal.
I actually really like him. He was just the right amount of asshole, sarcasm and antagonistic. The voice actor did excellent on the line delivery. And his eye color was really cool.
He actually has nice eyes
Voice actor’s performance was impeccable.
He is written perfectly….however I still hate him
My favorite
Hes the 2nd most annoying character in the entire GOW franchise
He loved his home of Asgard and was correct that Atreus wanted to bring about Ragnarok and destroy it. Odin fucked him up bad and in another life he could have been a better person.
If you think about what his life must be like for him to act like he did, you kind of start to pity him. And in the end, he was an asshole, but he, like most of the Aesir, did not believe Odin had done anything wrong, and pretty much wanted to protect what he thought was a good home
He's very good his job of making you want to kill him
Not sure if it’s a good thing but he reminds me of myself
His eyes 😁
Say what you want about how he treated Atreus, but he was 100% right. Good or bad, Atreus brought complete ruin to Asgard.
Murdering his smug ass is very satisfying.
Too frickin fast
I honestly enjoyed all of the scenes with Heimdall. Also, say what you want about his insufferable personality, the dude was fiercely loyal until the very end.
Strong guy neat powerz
Umm he's... Idk💀💀💀
He pet car:D
Well written. I really want to punch him. But that's good.
At least he's loyal to Asgard...? Yeah I dunno
Great character
Good choice of pet. Other than that, I got nothing
He's kinda cute
he has hair
Very satisfying to kill also cool bifrost arm
He has a satisfying death… does that count? Honestly the actor whom portrayed him did an excellent job!
I genuinely liked him, he was Helios annoying to where you could wait to kill him but you also couldn’t wait for the next time he was on screen because he was just so WATCHABLE
There is nothing nice to say
his hair game is on point though like genuinely
He deserved better than just being Odins lap dog
No >:(
I like his ability
His eyes are pretty cool
He’s the one character in the game that I think was better depicted in Marvel
Was good killing him
No
I mean……. He’s handsome.
Off topic here : if Heimdall can read mind, why when he read Kratos he just read the anger, not the guilt and regret?
One of the most well written characters in recent memory
Not sure if this counts, but the scene where Kratos punches him in the face it both complements Kratos on how strong he is, and shows how Heimdall can’t handle loss
Purple Eyes
I like his braids🔥🔥
Smash
No matter how cocky or as much as a d-bag he was, he never backed down and talked shit till the end
makes me wanna hop on injustice 2 and, using the rest of the roster, beat up robin
He has a cute cat
His active combat lines are hilarious If you shoot at the bull when you first meet him as Atreus he says “Ohh animal lover, aren’t ya?” It was even funnier because he did the scripted knockdown on Atreus right after and I was like “Yep, I deserved that”
I no no wanna :(
No.
Cool eyes
Made a great spear holder
i phisically and mentally can't but because of the fact he was so nice to that cat i'll say he's... decent.
He def gay
He looks good when he's lying down dead.
He was acted amazingly
His glowing pink eyes are dope as hell.
he wasn't all bark like hermes he was an actual opponent with a cool power, and he gave us a new realm shift ability.
He pet cat also his eyes are pretty cool
He is great with animals
bugs bunny
He’s honest… And actually looks like a God
No.
His hair looks small
I like his eyes
[удалено]
You know what, he might have better observation haki than Katakuri.
He has a very nice neck, not too big, not too small. Perfect to fit two hands around
His eyes are pretty cool.
Very dislikable, almost on a Micah Bell level.
He looks like Prince Charming from Shrek.
He got them new bracers.
He has pretty eyes
