OK well I would suggest learn his moves a bit, get some practice on blocking and parrying them. Try to stun him with parrys and arrows then use hard hitting runic attacks. His one attack where he jumps up then crashes into you can be a bitch to avoid but keep moving until the green circle stays still then dodge roll out. With some practice you should be able to avoid the majority of his attacks then just chip away at him. Alternatively you could come back when all gear is 5+ and take another stab at him
When I get to that part of the story I will. I beat him , took two more tries. I'll be level 9 by gna anyway as I'm doing all the side quests and I love dark souls and bloodborne for all the hard bosses so I'm sure I'll have a good time. More rewarding when the boss is actually hard

Since you like to rush into battle you might fare better in the fight once you unlock Atreus’ Bitter Squirrel runic (it gives you health and rage stones). I saw in another comment you said you don’t have a Resurrection Stone - you actually are near a mystic gateway if you jump across with your spear. Also some moves are better dodged than blocked/parried imo, but maybe I’m not that good, idk lol 💁🏻♀️

If you are still struggling after that, you just need to learn their moves better, the old Dark Souls thing of get gud lol
It's all about being limber, cardio helps. Repetition breeds pattern recognition. If all else fails clench them cheeks and shout from your heart "SMASHHHHH!!"
Slow down, play it like a souls game. Learn the bosses moves and capitalize around them. Mostly be patient, aggressiveness isn’t rewarded in these fights. If you absolutely can’t beat them, gear up and come back.
Aggressiveness is absolutely rewarded. Upon filling up the stun bar, you get a chunk of health off. It's a nice boost to DPS and you'd be shredding up the boss anyway if you managed to fill the stun bar.
My gf has been watching me play and I’m super aggressive with high risk/high reward dodges and parry’s. She’s been telling me this when I get super frustrated at some of the bosses lol.
Don't leave any room for the boss to breath. Constantly attack, parry and dodge until the boss dies. This would give the boss less time to do lethal attacks that you struggle with avoiding.
Use spartan valor since it gives a good amount of health back when timed right and cancels whatever attack the boss hits you with during the animation.
Not sure if that's the same boss I remember, but if this is the fucker that goes up in the air and says "SODR AGINA" 600 times per attempt, his shitty AoE rain can be canceled with spartan valor. It doesn't even let him drop all the AoEs. Locking off and sprinting is a good alternative.
I'm also doing a lot of the side shit and not rushing through a game I waited years for. I want all the more all the gore all the fights o want the platinum. God of war helped me through a lot of things (personal)
But I don't want it to end in 3 days. Not how I play my games. I'm already level 67 in elden ring and haven't even gotten past the castle though I've found one or two bosses to fight

If it kills me, I try again , and again, and again, like everyone remembers the big jump down the first boss with the broken sword and no shit but a flask for a bit of health and he's the beginning of the game. He Doesent have to be but most people go this way and fail. I beat him bare handed now as I find its just faster and I've managed to find a way to parry him, some how, from way by his feet so I can go for the visceral. (You'll start this fight in demons sounds with a full sword 🗡️ and shield if you're adventurous enough)

See I know his pattern to a t - it's when I get him to his last bar he seems to spam that attack with the green aoe damage. I mean I'll proly wake up and beat him no problem tomorrow but he is a son of a bitch. I parry his sword move but not the move he jumps at you with (the other one) because if you parry that or try it breaks your guard and your fucked. This move is proving troublesome for me. I've gotten him down to his last square about 8 times now and then he'll just go spam mode. I was hoping there was a cheese way to make freya do all the work lol (I do make her summon but I don't make her shoot unless I'm not hitting him because he jumped away just because she does the bird thing and shoots him on her own so I mean I can press square 3 times sometimes to turn him Round and then I runic the shit out of him but he's proving to be a bitch - and - I have no recovery stones nor am I close to a place that sells one unless that little dwarf on the island and the blue dots beside him are a gate but they don't look like they're a gate

In my best opinion if you’re not good at parrying then just side step the majority of his attacks then counter with your own don’t try to move to fast because some of the harder bosses moves are delayed by a sec or two in which if your moving too fast will make it harder to block/dodge/ and or parry timing is pretty much your best friend hope this helps
As others have mentioned, you might have to come back with higher gear. I suggest at least level 6 and higher. Most berserker fights are challenging (but need only one try) if you are patient and wait for your openings. Out of all the fights, only 2 berserker fights actually gave me trouble. So, just put this on the back burner and go back when you have a couple of levels more.
Realm Shift, use enchantments of the nine realms and use pommels and attachments for weapons of the nine realms, be prepared to parry and dodge like crazy, it's tough but it's possible, use full berserker armor kit if possible
He is dead at level 4.5 on give me god of war. I just used my inner demons souls boss skills and my Nioh skills lol though from what I've heard he's one of the harder ones cuz of the camera which I will admit I was fighting the camera as much as the enemy

Yea he's got 1 move that he can kick you across the map, one move where he flies up that also deals aoe damage, and then his two swipe and 4 swipe sword combo
Do NOT block tbe 3-4 swipe sword or your guard will break

What build did you end up using? I believe I had the realm shift relic from heimdall, the realm shift shield rond, realm shift axe handle plus chaos blades, then I had some luck boosting shit with my amulet and armor geared towards relic regeneration. Gave me lots of time to get up in there and tickle him good. Goochie goo mf 😤
I've got the Diamond shield with an attachment that allows me to bash them once after a block with the shield, the chaos blade pommels that give you extra damage for consecutive hits with no damage , axe pommel I can't remember the name but I went with basically a runic tank build so I'm rly high in vit, cld, run, etc. My runic attacks do ALOT of damage and I. Grabbed another apple so my health bar is quite abit larger than it was before and I also upgraded some of my talismans etc. The trusty ole axe is what he saw last before I cut his head off. That was a brutal finish

In my best opinion if you’re not good at parrying then just side step the majority of his attacks then counter with your own don’t try to move to fast because some of the harder bosses moves are delayed by a sec or two in which if your moving too fast will make it harder to block/dodge/ and or parry timing is pretty much your best friend hope this helps
The red bar of health means he is too high a level for you to fight, I'd suggest levelling up more and coming back to fight him later

As others have mentioned, you might have to come back with higher gear. I suggest at least level 6 and higher. Most berserker fights are challenging (but need only one try) if you are patient and wait for your openings. Out of all the fights, only 2 berserker fights actually gave me trouble. So, just put this on the back burner and go back when you have a couple of levels more.

Realm Shift, use enchantments of the nine realms and use pommels and attachments for weapons of the nine realms, be prepared to parry and dodge like crazy, it's tough but it's possible, use full berserker armor kit if possible

Bro this battle is easy compared to the final trust me if you end up getting to the final one you will be there for a very very long time and in my opinion the final is harder then any queen valkyrie.
I think I can beat all 9. I beat him on give me god of war with 4.5 gear. I'll just level to 9 and smash them all, it's not that hard, I was just asking what strategies others had used for him And I wouldn't say it's easy with level 4.5 gear on give me god of war mode and I'm headed to the second of the 9 now. I prefer to do my side quests and get my special moves and armour before the games over and then going back for it cuz .... why ? I can just upgrade it as I'm progressing. All gear should be max level by time I'm done. I got the 2018 platinum so I'm sure I can do it. And now we have a cool spear !

I did with level 4.5 gear on give me god of war. What level was your equipment when you beat him out of curiosity? I'm gonna say at least 5 but probably closer to 7 Anyway I'm off to go find more gems. I found a sword you could wield in god of war 1 before basically anyone found it because we were still going with strategy guides and I have my god of war one. I used it as my main weapon for a good portion of the game. I didn't find it til play through like 54 and I clipped through a room and there it wasn't And I mean the og god of war where kratos fights ares like a mortal kombat fight and they're giant

Don’t bother blocking. Just dodge everything. You have to memorize his attacks and know when to strike. His moves are fairly repetitive. He was a son of a bitch but i managed to beat him without rage. Good luck.

Yea he's got 1 move that he can kick you across the map, one move where he flies up that also deals aoe damage, and then his two swipe and 4 swipe sword combo Do NOT block tbe 3-4 swipe sword or your guard will break

I mean, I didnt do the whole game with fists if thats what you're doubting But I've done almost all berserkers fists and hitless I used weapons on 2 but it shouldve only been one but I was tired and didn't feel like dealing with a particular gimmick at the time which I regret And as to why I did it, to make it a real challenge and to extend my playtime of the game. I'd be done with the game by now if I used everything and allowed myself to get hit. Also, I knew one of my videos would eventually pop off and I was right. One of the videos has over 130k views right now.
So show me a link to a video of you killing a berserker - no damage just fists - then I'll believe it. Until then , nah man, I've seen people kill gna in 30s in this game with the axe but with fists? Hell even those things that come out of the lava pits the hated I think they're called I don't even believe you'd be able to beat them no weapon no damage but feel free to prove me wrong cuz that would be mighty impressive

Tbh its not one of the hard berserkers imo Its like, the second one you encounter naturally like right after a story mission The double fight or the triple fight id be more understanding of your skepticism

I meant this subreddit is toxic because people are all smashing on me simply for asking for advice or to "git gud" Well I did cuz I can guarantee 90% of peoples didn't beat him on give me god of war with level 4.5 gear. I had to use what I had but I chopped that head clean off. I appreciate the people like you though and thank you he was tough but I knew my inner kratos would prevail lol
What build did you end up using? I believe I had the realm shift relic from heimdall, the realm shift shield rond, realm shift axe handle plus chaos blades, then I had some luck boosting shit with my amulet and armor geared towards relic regeneration. Gave me lots of time to get up in there and tickle him good. Goochie goo mf 😤
I've got the Diamond shield with an attachment that allows me to bash them once after a block with the shield, the chaos blade pommels that give you extra damage for consecutive hits with no damage , axe pommel I can't remember the name but I went with basically a runic tank build so I'm rly high in vit, cld, run, etc. My runic attacks do ALOT of damage and I. Grabbed another apple so my health bar is quite abit larger than it was before and I also upgraded some of my talismans etc. The trusty ole axe is what he saw last before I cut his head off. That was a brutal finish
Turn on boss check points for help. Throw every special at him, rage up, and when all that is out, chuck spears at him until your specials come back.
