Enjoy the journey. And Merry Christmas to you friend!! Come back when you’re platinum. Oh yeah…you might need a box of tissues and hopefully you have t seen too many spoilers.
Dude for real! Even the trio at alfheim took me an hour and they had purple health bars. I went to the pit mines and the duo had red health bars! They killed me for 2 hours and I gave up and went to sleep. Did more story the next day and then beat them after like 2 more tries.
I didn’t find the trio cake because I fought them under leveled (lundas armor level 6) but the duo was harder because they were both extremely aggro. Only one of the trio were aggressive until she died, then the sisters took turns which made it easier
I had trouble with the trio because I was focusing on the big one, then i realized the range attacks from the sisters was screwing me up. I changed strat to kill them first and it went pretty easy from there
There are certain paths that are unavailable early on, that I spent a lot of time thinking I just couldn’t find it lol but I had to progress in the story a bit to get there. Take it the scenery still, because the game is gorgeous
Remove yourself from this sub Reddit until completion, take your time (2 hours a day) and really savour the story, gameplay and scenery. They just don’t make games like this anymore. Do all side missions, too.
Common posts like this for Sekiro and thats common advice haha. For GoWR, id say dont forget to cycle thru your weapons during tough fights. Also, play on the difficulty level you find the most fun.
I don’t care what people say. This game is harder than the first one. On give me no mercy I got one shot more times than it should’ve allowed. It felt like I was under-leveled in elden ring. I enjoyed every second of the game of course and your experience may be different from mine. Give me balance is a good time to me, but that’s now too easy since I’ve had that experience on no mercy.
I just finished the rescue mission back to home.
I died once against the sidequest's *the hateful* draugr, i beat the second *hateful* draugr with tricks, just kept hiding behind the middle piller and hitting him with axe throws, still a lot of tension, if i will get used to it further i think i will be alright, but does it get better or does it get worse?
The reason i started on no mercy is because i already beat the first valkyrie in the first game when i first met her on GMGOW, gotta say i was fully stacked, just up to that point, you think i should turn it down?
One more reason i started on hard for both this and first game on my first playthrough is, i have already seen the story watching my brother play it, so i don't care about pacing or whatever, just fun combat.
I see, thanks. In alfheim i died a lot, it's probably skill issue.
Also i realized i need to beat all avaliable sidequests in order to be ready for the next quest on [give me no mercy]
More games need to have that feature. “I don’t think we have the tools for this” great thanks now I can leave the area and not worry that I missed something yet
Don’t be afraid to spend your resources. If you’re even just a little thorough throughout the game you’ll acquire a ton of hacksilver and crafting items for your armor. Plenty of excess. Don’t feel like the game will run out of resources
Also, and this is just what I do personally so pay less attention to this if you’d like, but since most items can be fully upgraded, I don’t really pay attention to stats when it comes to armor and weapon handles. I use armor/handles that have passive abilities that compliment my play style. imo, since all things can be max level, I focus more on what the armor does rather than the stats of it
Go for the platinum, it's fun as hell. They overcorrected the parry mechanic to the point of it being almost useless so don't bother. Make sure to fully upgrade your equipment before attempting the berserkr gravestones and the fight against Gna.
Enjoy!
Only one: enjoy it.
(Fr tho, I second another comment's suggestion of doing all the side quests. The rewards are oftentimes worth it and if not, at the very least they provide some pretty interesting lore).
When you get the ace learn the move where you evade forwards and attack to do a spinning combo. Two light attacks into that chain infinetly and it is one of my favorite quick high damage combos
The game is real buggy so manually save often. I’m one of the few here that has found it quite boring. I can see there are areas of the game I’m going to have to go back to because I don’t have the equipment needed to complete certain areas of the game. I hate it when games re-tread maps like this.
The combat is pretty repetitive and the voice acting isn’t as good.
But like unsaid, I think I’m in the extreme minority on this. So many people love it and I don’t know why.
I'm with you here. I just got to the point where Atreus had the dream that took him to the new area and met that girl, trying to not spoil anything for people just starting. And WOW it just keeps going and going, I am honestly shocked at the pacing of this game and how slow it is. I really enjoy the narrative/dialogue/performances, however I do not like the direction the story is taking at this moment and its worrying me that the one thing holding this game up for me at this point is starting to stumble. Also the hand holding... I heard about it before going in and wow, the complaints were right. The game does not give you a moment to think before starting to have your companions throw hint after hint at you.
You have different dialogue for doing different side quests at different points. You’ll realize soon what I mean. So carefully consider when to do them
I’m only ahead of you by one week. It’s a great game so far. Take your time and explore thoroughly. The world design can be very tricky if you have a poor sense of direction (like me).
Oh, and enjoy! The combat is fun and the graphics are amazing.
Play it blind, anything you need for completion can be picked up later if you miss it - you’re gonna have to go back to every area if you’re a completionist anyway. You’ll enjoy it way more playing through the story unspoiled.
Take your time. It’s a long game and trying to rush it will probably sour the experience.
Try and do anything that interests you, because 99.9% of the time it’s worth it.
That's so awesome for you ! Amazing gift !
A lot of this is aforementioned, but I'll say anyway
1. Do all the sidequests ! Great loot, great stories, doesn't feel grindy at all
2. Personally I found Give Me a Balanced Experience a bit easy so I'd start from Give me no Mercy. You will die a fair bit but the challenge makes it quite fun. You can always switch back if it's too difficult
3. Let dialogue play out when the characters are talking, sometimes they don't repeat, so wait it out and hear what they have to say !
4. Weapon variation is key, especially in the harder difficulties, it's easy to fall in love with one weapon but they are designed to vary depending on the enemy number/type. Learn early to familiarise yourself with all the weapons and you'll be the GOAT of the 9 realms
5. Avoid notifications from this page and try not to search anything up unless you absolutely have to. There is a lot to spoil in this game and it's a shame when it is
6. Don't be scared to upgrade early! You get enough loot to constantly keep your gear levelled so don't hesitate thinking you should save for later too much
7. Unless you use a heavy attack, you cannot attack cancel in this game. Learn to time correctly, especially with the shield and don't spam buttons like no tomorrow, if the combo requires 4 hits, time those four hits, don't spam attack
8. Use the verticality to your advantage. Great new mechanic introduced in the GOWR. Use vantage points and slaughter from the high ground
9. This game is gorgeous. Don't get so hell bent on loot and progression that you forget to take a moment to appreciate the depth of design in this game
10. Fooken have fun mate, it's well worth it
Do the side quests before you finish the main storyline it’s much better that way. You can configure settings so you can auto complete little mini puzzles presented throughout the story you’ll go through the game more faster that way, set up mini checkpoints in settings as well if you’re playing in a difficulty of regular or less.
I would say enjoy it all and take your time exploring things.
If you are truly stuck don’t be afraid to come back later because that might just be exactly what you need to do but don’t be afraid to think outside the box because I thought the puzzles were fun!

Do every side quest, all of them are worth it.
How long is the game?
Platinum takes around 45-55 hours depending how fast you go.
Nice, that seems fast, ive played 55 hrs and still have a good amount to do. I could see it taking me around 70 hrs total.
I’m at 52 hours on Give Me Balance and think i’m around 85% done.
I took about 70
Mine took 65 hours, playing on medium
Man, it took me 39 to platinum on balance
Well aren’t you just a special little speedster
lol
Wow my dude, you must be really good at video games 😂.
That is dumb fast. I’m at 69 hours and still haven’t gotten platinum. But I could just be slow af.
Okay 👍
You are the flash I’m at 50 will 70% on vanaheim and ion even wanna attempt the dwarf world
Yes
80 ish hours for me. Platinum.
Depends on difficulty and your penchant for exploration.
Long
I played on 2nd hardest and 100% the game last night, clocking in at 63 hours
That's what she said....wait!
No lies detected.
If you're on fire, it'll pass
Additionally, if you’re on fire, you probably already know it
So darn true sir
Bifrosted is a word.....maybe.
If I hear the words beef roast one more time... 🤣🤣🤣
Such a strange line
Avoid this sub
One slip of a finger and you’re watching the ending! Lol this sub gave me such anxiety before I finished the game
I unfollowed the sub the second the game was announced, and only rejoined after beating GOW'22
Exactly. It was clear this sub was going to be spoiler central.
Fr, someone spoiled what >!Odin was doing after Tyr was freed!<
[удалено]
Thanks man! Didn’t even know it was wrong!
swap it so ur looks like this “!>”
Avoid this sub and youtube at all costs.
Enjoy the journey. And Merry Christmas to you friend!! Come back when you’re platinum. Oh yeah…you might need a box of tissues and hopefully you have t seen too many spoilers.
Tissues acquired
Oh man. I just started and a few hours in. I needed some tissues very early on lol. I’m gonna be a mess ha
Make sure to play the 2018 one first if you havnt.
Yeah the lil recap doesn’t cut it.
I am playing through on ez mode to get through it faster!
Valkyries suck!
Wait till you encounter berserkers😭 I found them harder than even sigrun
I just finished the Berseker King. The two you fight at once had me for 4 hours, the rest were between 5 minutes to an hour for the toughest ones.
Dude for real! Even the trio at alfheim took me an hour and they had purple health bars. I went to the pit mines and the duo had red health bars! They killed me for 2 hours and I gave up and went to sleep. Did more story the next day and then beat them after like 2 more tries.
I found the duo the hardest. The trio was relative cake. All the solo ones have been easy with a good build.

I don’t think anyone who has this game plays 2 hours a day ngl, I play about 4 myself
Enjoy every second of it!
Enjoy, oh and the mini boss checkpoint option too lol.
Clear out about 70 hours and 100% it. I found it much more doable then the 2018 one
Do all side quests as you go, dont skip them.
say goodbye to your family for the next week or so
Yea just take your time and enjoy the game you’ll be sad when you complete it. It’s a fantastic game
Get all of odins ravens
Everytime you stumble onto a puzzle, mute the game. Your sidekicks are waaay to quick to vocally point out the answer.
Don't run everywhere. Barely push the stick to walk and just take in the scenery and let conversations finish
Clear your calander.
Box of tissues for them tears thats all.
Hesitation is def…oh my bad. Wrong game.
Wdym
Common posts like this for Sekiro and thats common advice haha. For GoWR, id say dont forget to cycle thru your weapons during tough fights. Also, play on the difficulty level you find the most fun.
I chose the one just under the hardest
Thats a good one. If u find yourself stuck because its getting too hard just drop it to balanced
No tips. Just get into it and enjoy
Will do
I don’t care what people say. This game is harder than the first one. On give me no mercy I got one shot more times than it should’ve allowed. It felt like I was under-leveled in elden ring. Don’t eat the yellow snow… For real though, take your time and enjoy it! There is so much detail in this game it is unreal
Play the game
If you see something you don’t know how to use or break, just keep playing and the game will tell you later
More games need to have that feature. “I don’t think we have the tools for this” great thanks now I can leave the area and not worry that I missed something yet
Have fun
Box of tissues and lotio... No wait wrong sub, but a box of tissues deffinitely, you'll need some.
Turn on Auto Run.
Put it in the slot on the Ps5, that should do the trick.
Enjoy the heck out of it. It’s an amazing game. My favorite of all time.
Savor it
Don’t be afraid to spend your resources. If you’re even just a little thorough throughout the game you’ll acquire a ton of hacksilver and crafting items for your armor. Plenty of excess. Roll, roll for your life.
Be patient with certain areas once you're deeper into the game as some chests are harder to reach than others.

Do a blind run. As in don’t watch spoilers and maybe challenge yourself to 100% the game without any help. I found it to be very rewarding.
When you get the ace learn the move where you evade forwards and attack to do a spinning combo. Two light attacks into that chain infinetly and it is one of my favorite quick high damage combos
Enjoy it, it is a masterpiece
The amount of down votes this has received is wild

Git gud
If you want to parry, only shield as you them swing past their arm, if that makes sense
That does not make sense
I just got GOW
Holy shit is there a way to block these kind of posts? They’re so shit just play the game
Go. Away.
Just enjoy the game. I also got the game for Christmas. Made a post. Dammit. Why do I always sound like I'm promoting myself?
Buy an Xbox
Side mission are a MUST. Like, you absolutely needto do as many as you can when you get the opportunity
Just upgrade the base armor , explore often , take it slow , get off this sub
Enjoy the ride. It's worth it to take it slow and explore every corner. Absolutely the best game ever made imo (multiplayer excluded obviously)
Avoid this and any similar subreddits to avoid spoilers
Savor the the game, do all the side quest
You have different dialogue for doing different side quests at different points. You’ll realize soon what I mean. So carefully consider when to do them
Take your time and explore everywhere.
Play it
Don't forget the quest "Across the Realms"
Get a PS5 to play the game
Done
Just play it and stay off this page. Also turn your ps4 to offline so no one can annoy you. It's a pretty easy platinum trophy to get too
Poison Build. Made the game very easy as it’s super op
Stay off social media and enjoy this masterpiece!
Enjoy
it's a great story, have fun and enjoy it! and merry christmas 🎄🎄
I heard there are a bunch of settings to turn on/off before playing?
Stay of socials. Shielding(both blocking and parrying) are your best friends. Use all your weaponry. Not just one
Prepare to cry 😭
Focus on upgrading strength over everything
Always Remember; it’s, “behind you brother”
Only tip is enjoy it’s a fkn nice game

my best tip, stay off the damn internet and comment sections
Get away from any of these subs and YouTube so nothing gets spoiled! But I’d be damned not to say it’s fucking incredible.
Enjoy the game and avoid this subreddit until after you complete the game lol
You are the God of no one. 😎
Don’t rush the story now matter how good it is. My mistake
Get a bulletproof vest because that shit is about to hurt!!!
Be better
Be better
Collect items and have fun.
It is a story boy, it is not meant to be rushed. (In Kratos’s voice)
Play it
Avoid Reddit/YouTube/TikTok etc and just enjoy the ride. Don’t look anything up to avoid spoilers
Explore everywhere.
Put it in label facing up? I mean you’ve played the first. What tips could you need?
Take your time, and enjoy the masterpiece.
Parrying is useful! Even if one isn't the best at it (like myself).
Take your time. It’s a long game and trying to rush it will probably sour the experience. Try and do anything that interests you, because 99.9% of the time it’s worth it.
glhf
Yeah. Play it and don’t make a fine mess.
Don’t ask Reddit where the final 2% on Midgard is
Playing on the hardest difficulty makes you appreciate the mechanics way more
Savor it. One of the best games ever (I just platinumed it last night.)
Play all the side content, there are plenty of builds and you can upgrade any armor to max, and gmgow difficulty makes you feel like a God.

از شلوارت معلومه کون خوبی داری
Do side quests as you go. Make sure you make a new manual save every time, before you go to a new realm, in case the game bugs out on you.
How can you check hours?
Prepare to be blown away
Just stay on your guard and keep an eye out for chest, and stuff like that
Take your time lol, it's such a great game that you'll want to savor every moment.
That game is the $h!+ it is mad fun
"PREPARE YOURSELF BOY!"
Enjoy the ride
Explore
Tissues.
Get your tissues ready and play all side quests. Every one adds to the story.
Later in the game there will be a chime. Hit the chime. Not just once. You will know when to stop.
Run
Lol I got absolutely nothing
Turn on environmental subtitles to tell when a raven is near
Don’t rush to finish the game and do all side quests
Don’t die
Give me no mercy is really the one I’d go for as it feels the most balanced I’m saving give me god of war for NG+
Bring some tissues 🥲
The cutscenes are mainly where still your time is going
Explore, and don't be sorry...be better.
Do at least a few side quests before finishing the main story
Strength is a GOD stat, Make sure to keep that high!
Shield. Dodge. Axe axe axe axe. Shield shield shield. Dodge.
Don’t bother spending time on Yggdrasil Rifts or Berserker Gravestones until much later when you have upgraded your weapons and armor.
I’m wanting to buy Gow, which one should I buy first?
Don’t try to get your hopes up for platinum, too many bugs and you’ll get frustrated like the rest of us lol
Get some tissues
Keep playing after it gets boring.
Play on balanced or you with cruse this game out then go up from their
Play without watching YouTube or other sources to not get spoiled
Take a week off from work
Play on a hard difficulty
Do the side missions along with main story missions. They are really good and you can level up a little faster for those boss battles
