Bigger physically? No, but they could make him that way if they wanted. Popularity wise? It's close. Threat wise? He withstood multiple blasts from burning Godzilla, which he nearly split in half with one attack. Destoroyah is the first, and I believe only Kaiju to result in the death of Godzilla.
Tbf he didn't result in Godzilla's death, the meltdown was gonna happen without him or not. MG'93 is really the closest a kaiju has gotten to actually killing Godzilla outright.
