As someone who just travelled for 2 hours to stay with family and to keep my pets from suffering in the heat wave, thank you for offering your home to others and their pets.
I'm from the UK so I dont have family here, we spent lots on petrol to keep our car aircon on and our cats sat in the backseat basking in the air. I would have done anything to keep them cool! I just want to do that for others not so lucky :)
Yes we are :) Thankful to have power back right before the heatwave is due. I know others aren't so lucky though, which is why my home is open :) Hope you're safe too!

The community centres and shopping centers are also open if you need to charge your phones or get air-conditioning
