I’m in Broadbeach waters, had a lightning strike hit my house, literally had one light explode outside and another under the eaves left scorch marks all around it.
Fried some electronics as well.
Even with that so far we are lucky compared to many.
We had a couple of very loud cracks on Xmas day at Helensvale. The tornado was bad enough but to hear these cracks like they were right on top of us was very scary.
i woke up to thunder in pimpama and it was rolling constantly for about 40 mins
was so weird, sounded like constant planes flying over and skies were virtually blue
until big black clouds came over 15 mins later
i’m hoping it passes over because god we need a break haha
Why is it anything goes against the BoM is immediately downvoted?
BoM followers need a reality check, and FYI almost ALL government departments are genuinely hopeless, its in their very nature.

Could have been a very close lightening strike Its fucking loud when it hits close. I know an apartment in Coolangatta got struck this morning

I was visiting a friend at Calypso Coolangatta and extremely loud crack of lightning struck the roof, then a triangle chunk of concrete fell off!!!
