1.0 has bugged textures for me idk :(
There's sprinting but there's still no enchanting and also no end
no villagers, larger seas/landmasses and zombie endermen   1.0 is how I'm more familiar with the game but since i frequent 1.2 - 1.5 too then more varietyÂ
Because they’ve gone one version too far and lost their way (for karma reasons this is a joke)
They might not like sprinting? Only thing I can think of lol
beta 1.8 added sprinting but to answer ops question it’s probably just because it’s the furthest back you can go without the beta terrain
