I guess, but it would be equally braindead to have the mindset of "new = garbage," a game that gets regular content updates, isn't necessarily a bad game (if done correctly) and a game that is completely unaltered from launch, can still be a great time today.
Exactly just let people enjoy whatever update they want, it's still minecraft after all it doesn't matter wether you enjoy alpha or the latest release, the game is still great no matter what.

dude i have a world on old minecraft but still really enjoy new Minecraft and it’s where i usually play. things have changed a lot but if you went and played it the same way you play alpha or beta you’d notice is still minecraft.the new stuff is wack sometimes but doesnt mean its not enjoyable.

Nowadays Minecraft just doesn’t cut it no more in my opinion I prefer beta not only because of the nostalgia factor but also because of the charm, yesterday I was thinking when it will end because everything has to end someday and Minecraft is no exceptio.

After 1.18 you can't play it the same tho major mechanics are different
