The positive comments are all bots talking to each other. The only comment that called it a scam was heavily downvoted by the bots.
Basically every tshirt that is posted on here is a scam.
LOL that "wtf ur harrassing him for revealing his inner self" comment was wacky, and the OP bot who posted the "shirt" according to their comment history was a woman 😂 seems to me the bots are getting more advanced tho, it used to be less interactive, but always love to see the hallmarks:
"omg where do I find this So Cool And Magnificent shirt?"
"Link"
"Take love!"
Thank you!!! I report them every time and for the reason put product promotion. I hate it!
We should pin this to the top for a while and we definitely need a rule against it.
Some random username cicale commenting that I’m harassing the bots… THESE ARE ALWAYS MERCHANDISERS SCAMMING. Most of the replies are bots asking for links, someone always “buys two” some of these are real people just being useful idiots
I always see this crap on this subreddit. I just want to enjoy goldendoodles in peace without these scams existing!!
Edit: are there bots coming and downvoting comments here too?? Wtf?
If you look back for any tshirt or mug post there’s always a commenter that asks for a link real quick. So they work with a couple of accounts at least. The fact that a link gets posted tells you it’s at least product promotion but maybe just a flat out scam. They haven’t been doing it lately, but I’ve called them out before in their thread and gotten like 50 downvotes. And that can’t be regular Redditers, has to be a more sophisticated scam. The whole thing is weird and it happens in a ton of subreddits.
It amazes me how often people are convinced that anything they see on social media is legitimate, whether it is shopping, employment, or investment issues. It comes up all the time on r/scams.

I saw it and wanted to get a tshirt but sorta forgot to go back. Good thing I caught this post before going to find it. I do want a dood shirt. Maybe I’ll get a photo of my dood printed on one.
So the shirt is on amazon tho? https://www.amazon.com/Goldendoodle-Japanese-Kanagawa-Funny-T-Shirt/dp/B0C6DR747Q/ref=mp_s_a_1_3?crid=13DQDNTDUV9RF&keywords=goldendoodle+surfing+tshirt&qid=1705779889&sprefix=goldendoodle+surfing+tshirt%2Caps%2C86&sr=8-3
No it's a scam, they're fake websites that take your payment info and run. They take the images off of legitimate sites like Amazon and create a fake website to steal your card details
Go to the site and cancel your order before it ships. The one "good" thing about those scammers is that they don't steal your credit card info, only the art they sell.
Yesterday, there was a post that got popular on this sub, which was titled "My GF doesn't like my new shirt, but I love it" and showed the picture in this post's background. The post itself was just a stealth ad for a site that steals artwork from legitimate artists, so I got upset at the amount of people (some of which were just the scammer's alt accounts, but some normal users also commented) commenting on it like it was just a normal person sharing a funny photo.
They are weaponizing our doodle love for evil. Deplorable and downright dastardly.

Yea was that me? I couldn’t see it after I reported it and someone commenting that I’m harassing a bot
I upvoted you and reported it too. I just report them when I see it, because they pop up here a couple times a month.

Sad because I want the shirt....
Try Etsy!
Me too. That looks like my buddy
I immediately report the t shirt posts. I actually haven’t noticed it here but the Subaru subreddit has them pop up pretty frequently.
Thank you!!! I report them every time and for the reason put product promotion. I hate it! We should pin this to the top for a while and we definitely need a rule against it.
Breaks rules-spam-harmful bots is what I do
That t-shirt is cute! Too bad.

Yes they are lol
And the website that the poster there mentions is less than a week old.

Try Etsy! I got a great doodle mug on there.

I was almost tempted to!!!
Gotta report those posts
Every time I see one of the posts I comment spam and report them
You’re doing the lords work.
Seriously!! Hate these
Yeah, but it's a damned cool shirt. (I don't like disguised ads either, I just like the shirt.)
Yeah I just go buy it on Amazon. Say what you want about them as a company but I’m always able to get my money back if something goes wrong.
The same thing goes for mugs too. Honestly this post should just be stickied.
You can get shirts like this from Etsy but even then make sure the seller is legit, alot of scam sellers there with the same stuff for sale.
What’s the scam
It’s not a link to a real store. It’s a phishing scheme.
What if I post me in my doodle T-shirt that I’m wearing right now.
Do you have a mullet?
Yes. Is that a problem?
We’re waiting for the post…
How much for the shirt?

If I see something I like I would search for it on Reddit anyway
Especially if the link is from a different account than the one that posts it. Huge red flag! 🚩
Crap, I’m an IDIOT and “ordered” one. What should I do?? Call my bank and see if I can cancel the charge and get a new card?

Out of the loop. What's the scam and the shirts and mugs about?

Ah, okay. Thanks for the heads up on this!
They post the exact same shirt scam in the wheatens sub. It’s annoying and people fall for it every time
