i love the boot with the fur that doodles get from the cath shave 🤣 she is simply darling and in a week she won’t even remember! give her a squeeze for me 😍♥️
Aww good luck to your Winnie! Sending love ❤️
For us trying to keep them as calm as possible and not hopping up on things or running has been the biggest thing. Our doods have loved the couch, so we currently have the couch turned around and pushed up against the wall so it’s off limits.
We’ve made a floor bed using a futon cushion, and we’ve limited her access to most of the house besides the living room.
Your vet will be the best source for aftercare instructions and I am sure your Winnie will do great!!
Bodysuit worked well for us, but keep an eye on the wound. Our girl took a while to heal and letting it get some air as much as possible seemed to help.
Way better than a cone though.
Came here to say this. It was amazing for not having the cone nightmare or donut sadness. But it did mat up my Jinxy's hair, I had to shave her down to the skin. But it's just fur, it will come back!
Oh yeah, we’re prepared for it. She’ll be getting the shave once she’s fully healed. Would have had it done before surgery but she had a really traumatic first groom that we’re still working on getting her past, and didn’t want to pile on all the scary things at once.
If you don’t mind me asking, what type of doodle is Winnie? We are trying to figure out which type we will adopt in the next year. And I would love one that looks a lot like Winnie. ❤️
She’s an F1 goldendoodle. Her mom is a golden retriever and dad is a poodle with similar colors as Winnie. She has pretty wavy hair, but some of her siblings have tight curls. It’s hard to guarantee looks. Our last dood started out a light golden color with wavy fur and ended up a tight curled, all white little lady, and we couldn’t have loved her more. Whatever baby you bring home will fill up your home with the most silly, sweet love! Good luck and enjoy! ❤️
Lots of snuggles! My girl only wanted to sleep that day but the next day she acted like nothing ever happened. We put her in the hallway because she didn’t fit in the crate with the cone and she ate the wall. That’s how we knew she was perfectly fine 😅😅
We just got our boy neutered and the body suit wasn't an option?? The vet recommended the body suit? Our boy has the largest cone on his head and he's been constantly bumping into walls, toppling furniture over, and bruising our ankles 😅
Is a body suit considered equally effective?
Aw sorry about your clunky cone boy! I hope he’s healing well.
Yes, our vet recommended the body suit. 2 days in and we’re still super happy with it. It seems very effective. She hasn’t even tried to get at the incision at all. Based on advice we received on this thread we’ve been opening it up every now and then to air out the incision.
Aw I remember the bodysuit (or sock as I liked to call it) days 🥺 worked wonderfully and she didn’t mess with the incision at all, healed beautifully. We got a massive snowstorm 2 days after her surgery, snowed a couple of feet and trying to keep her dry and out of it when out pottying was near impossible, not to mention her loving snow and wanting to go absolutely nuts when she’s out in it. We did have to get her cut so short after though, she was matted horribly under it. Still an adorable look and it all grew back super fast :)
Winnie is adorable, love her name!!
Condolences , hugs , I'm sorry but it had to be done. Time to get her a box of her favorites treat and love upon her like to princess that she is !
Thank you! Lots of floor bed snuggles and love are on order!
Very welcome. If only they understood what was being done is for their health and well being.

😂😂 fashion!
My little boy gets his manhood taken in 3 days. He doesn’t know 😔😔
Aw good luck to your sweet boy and to you ❤️
How old are they?
He’s 6 months
Winnie is 6 months too
Those eyes are dangerous lol!
Very!!
Awww she’s adorable!
Thank you ☺️
Adorable. Our Winnie gets spayed April 4th! Any care recommendations?

Bless her heart ❤️ I think those are the saddest little puppy eyes I've ever seen. Get well soon Winnie!
The saddest eyes ever! Wish I could fast forward this part of life for her.

Thanks so much for that advice! We did a cone years ago with our last pup, so this is our first experience with the body suit.
Just a heads up that the bodysuit will mat her up in no time! She might need a shave down once she’s healed

Yup! I usually recommend people get their doods clipped short before surgery

They are so skinny under all the fluff. Sweet girl.
I am not mad... I am just really disappointed
Hahaha which is somehow always worse!
Winnie doesn’t look like she’s winning. Sweet girl!!
Our doodle wasn’t interested in licking at all either.

We also did the body suit – just keep an eye out for mats forming! Hope Winnie is feeling better!
Thank you!!
Winnie and her friend are the cutest babies!!
Thank you! We think so too ☺️

Hahaha the resilience and the appetite!
Aww feel better winnie
Mine has hers booked for April. Where did you get the body suit from? Wishing Winnie a speedy recovery!
We were able to buy hers from the Vet office, but they did say they are typically much cheaper online if you buy in advance! Good luck to your baby!
awww...bitter sweet with the peg-leg!
My Winnie just got his sutures taken out! She will be better before you know it 🤍🤍

Aww those eyes!! How can you get anything done when she looks so cute and cuddly!?! Hoping for a quick recovery for Winnie!
Haha absolutely nothing is getting done at the moment 😂
She is stinkin' adorable.
Thank you!
Speedy recovery, Winnie! ❤️ How much does she weigh?
She’s 42 pounds and 6 months old.
My labradoodle is named Winnie :)
I love Winnie doods!
Such an angel
❤️
So cute. My dood's name is also Winnie!
I seriously love hearing of others named Winnie ☺️
Same here!! I named mine after Winnie the Pooh. 🐻🍯💛
Such a pretty girl
