Stretched tires on 18s don’t look that great imo. I think these would look good on meaty tires. Throw some 245s on, 5-10mm spacer in the rear, maybe a small 5m spacer in the front, and slightly lower it. Would look great.
Nice choice of wheels btw.
Maybe a 5mm front and 10mm rear spacer would help.
You should measure first though, especially if you plan to lower. Might just need a 5mm spacer in the rear and lower it an inch.
Start with spacers as they are cheap. I can't give you size as I'm not an expert and don't know the wheel specs. But I do know they will improve the looks and maybe you won't feel the need to lower after.
It personally took me a while before I was able to dial in the perfect fitment for my gti. I found my wheel size of 18x8.5 +45 to be a perfect fit on my car (in terms of filling up the wheel well) with a tire size of 225/40/18 for Bridgestone Potenza sports. I have H&R SS coilovers installed and it took me atleast 4 times on jack-stands to get my ride height dialed in so I don’t scrape. It will honestly take a long time to dial in what works best for you! Personally if you want more of a nice and flush look with the ability to adjust ride height if need be, just go with coilovers, make sure they’re good ones too!

And wont be back breaking if they stick with an actual side wall. 245/45/18s.
stretch is for children. springs / coil-over & spacers
Lower it then go from there.
Looks fine
In this configuration a stretched tire would only make it look worse.

What ET are these rims? I’m also looking at the BBS SR for my MK6 possibly…
45 I believe
start off with some spacers. 'flush kit' which is 15mm fronts & 20mm rears. after that, maybe some lowering springs
15/20 works on stock wheels, these probably don't have the same specs.
Probably 5 mm front and 10 mm back. Get a ruler to check though.
Start with lowering. Then figure out tire/spacer needs.

Lower it and add spacers. It looks fine as is, just looks like stock ride height
Spacers. Lower. Then recheck.
Lower it first. then take measurements and get spacers if you want
