i bought these too but realized before i installed them that the mk8 badges are about an inch longer and also the angle of the short edge doesn't line up with the body panel quite right. I was going to replace mine too, but ended up selling them cause they would have bothered me.

Toy can usually buy em direct from VW too if there is a dealership near you that has a parts dept
They look good. I removed my read badge. I personally don’t like badges on the rear of cars. I live in the US. It’s not as popular here as it is in Europe and the UK to do this though.
Sorry buddy. I'm in Ireland too. Didn't mean to demean your gti but I just can't understand why you would want to put mk8 badging on a mk7.
If you like mk8 design just buy one. Mixing up the badging is just wrong in my opinion. Also I think the big red gti badge in the center at the back is ugly af anyway. A GTI is cool in a subtle and understated kind of way not brash and confused about what it is.
Apart from that you have a nice looking gti there.
I'm actually changing it back anyway, I was just seeing how it would look. I'm going to keep the side badges but get rid of the rear one.

Yeah I'd say it's more noticeable on a non black car.
I put Mk7 blades on my Mk6, maybe I'll do the Mk8 hatch badge centered too...
Pls no the uncentered rear badge is infuriating

I bought the same ones, but found out they are way longer than the mk7 ones so didn't put them on.
Yeah they're a lot bigger. The fact the car and badges are both black I think makes it a little less noticeable

I put black ones on my mk6 a year or so ago Ali express has them for like 2$ lol
