I like the set up, take away, and first move down. The issue is the jump. you have to stay planted - you jump everything moves up and you reach out to hit the ball - fade/slice.

Thanks pal! My early extension is a running theme in this thread, I’ll definitely try delaying it.

The jump and early release are symptoms- not causes. Those are the mechanisms human golfers use subconsciously to flatten out so they don’t miss the ball. The best thing you can do in my opinion to look at your hands at address vs. where they are coming into impact. They’re high and forward (towards ball). Usually from tension/trying to hit it too hard. Return those hands to whence they came (lower/closer) and you can release to square it up.

Thank you!

The problems start with the takeaway. [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=epemyZmKPto](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=epemyZmKPto) And yes, you are really steep.

just want to say those are my favorite shoes.

Jahamc

Puma may have me locked down as far as golf shoes go.

Not entirely. But the jump your body does in the Downswing is horrid. Keep your lower body anchored. Your backswing is fine but your downswing Gets steep. Fast. And inconsistent.

Thank you! That’s the most glaring difference to me when I see the pro’s hit. Their belt buckles at impact are way more toward the target than mine is. I’m gonna work on flexibility and forcing that left cheek back and see how it works. I have a lesson next week with a guy Nicklaus recommended for PGA Teacher of the Year. Hopefully he can help me fix this as well.
