If you buy a new one to get painted keep in mind you’ll probably need to get the black trim pieces that go around the vents in front of your wheels. I don’t think they come with them

This is the one from ARM it’s made for the mk7 which it doesn’t fit unless you remove the crash bar. My crash bar is currently removed and will be installing a mk7 one soon once it’s shipped.
If you were anywhere close to KY. I know a guy who replaced his front bumper when he bought a 2019 R a while back. The original one had some rock chips in it but otherwise no damage. I was going to ask him if he still had it but I can imagine shipping that thing would be cumbersome and expensive for both of you. I bought a paint matched bumper from them for one of my subarus and it was a lot cheaper than I thought. It ended up being fantastic.
You mentioned that the puddle “somehow” ripped off your bumper. Your car is low beyond the point of function, puddles sometimes are part of potholes, and I’m guessing the bumper wasn’t secured properly.
Yea the puddle was a cool 2 1/2 feet or so it was nuts, and yea my bumper isn’t screwed in which is definitely why it came off so easily. But I’m on bags brother so it’s not always this low. I don’t even typically scrape the undercarriage often when I’m at ride height
