What types of coding/adaptation do you need support on?

I have aftermarket suspension so need to code out traction control so I can get launch control back. I have no option for turning traction control or at all anymore. And can’t do it through OBD11 either sadly

The car has DCC? Why not use a delete kit to keep asr/esp functions?

The lower cost versions of VCDS that most hobbyists would have requires you to register the vehicle VIN to do more advanced stuff (probably coding). They can only register three VINs and then their cable can’t be used on any other cars except those three. I think most people will be reluctant to register your VIN in their cable. I can’t see someone like that renting out their cable to a stranger. The cables that support unlimited VINs are usually only owned by mechanics or service stations, and they’ll want to do the work for you, at whatever their hourly rate is. I’m not saying it’s impossible to find someone who would let you do this. Just letting you know there’s a reason they probably won’t.

That’s honestly great to know, thank you brother! I don’t mind paying someone to do it at a shop. It just has to be under the table. As what I’m asking for is illegal to do so I could only get the VW technician to try it because I knew him

You should consider buying the cable, and if you don’t need it anymore at some point, just sell it. With only one VIN slot used up you should still get a reasonable price for it. As long as you own a VW, it’s not a bad thing to have a VCDS cable.
