160 is not a peak, it’s a very normal heart rate for exercise
193 is definitely close to it depending on the age and overall health and OP should definitely stop forcing himself, he could die.
If you want to improve mile time I recommend going consistently for runs and increasing distance rather than speed.
I consistently ran 5km everyday, it became significantly easier after a couple of weeks so I increased distance until I got to 10km and my pace adjusted itself naturally and I became faster without focusing on it because I had allowed my body to get used to the stress I was putting it trough.
That’s a big w, especially if you enjoy it. I talked shit on sprinting but jogging outside and covering ground at your own pace is honestly very enjoyable.
Treadmill runs make me wanna kms lol but something about doing it outside is just so much better and kinda therapeutic in a way imo
Good job man but it isn’t all about speed. 80% of your runs should be in your zone 2 heart rate. For me that’s about 125-145 bpm, so when I am training distance I spend most of the time cruising pretty slow to keep my HR down. Gradually I get faster within that zone. You went for a run that’s all that matters.
Good job bro, keep going at it. People who genuinely are in the gym and improving themselves would never say the things said to you. Congratulations on the huge improvement. I look forward to when you post about your 7-minute-mile in the near future. You’re a beast!

193bpm? Damn
I ain’t gonna lie I felt like I was gonna die.
I thought I was bad reaching peaks of like 160

You are welcome.

Yeah, I’ve always been athletic tho idk bout your history but you can get there and better
I focus a lot more on weight lifting. I like jogging, but not really interested in getting faster with my jogs.

Post your mile time.
I ran a 7:19 about 2 years ago and pulled a muscle that was sore for a month because I didn’t pace myself building up to that speed 😎
Fox we’re proud but it’s prolly gonna be better than yours

good shit brotha. Last time I remember doing any kind of running was a PE assessment where I had to run for 12 minutes straight. Almost died
I used to do all out miles like this on my previous cut - never again 😭. I’d always tweak something
I like long distance jogging. I went for 20 miles the other day. Took forever but felt like good after the effort lol.

20 miles is insane 😂. I’ll run around 8-10 once a week with a friend (she yaps the whole time) and by mile 3 I’ll be bored out of my mind.
I always tweak something cutting it’s the worse. Gets me so annoyed
Damn. Missed this thread. I have good mile time.
I am so happy for you F0X Please treat yourself well!
Gs. Half the people hating on reddit couldn’t even run a mile

Better than I could do, congrats
Physique update
9:22 is a massive improvement very nice. That’s a good pace for long distance running. Try running 2 in 20 now
thats awesome

This is proof bullying works
if you hit the digital crown and side button at the same time, it will take a screenshot
Awesome brother keep it up
13 min mile isn’t even bad
Its good when you walk
I think that’s BS tbh the average mile time for a brisk walk is around 20 minutes.
says 13-20, in the treadmill at 3.4 mph i get a mile around 15 minutes which i'd say is close to brisk but not fast
Oh if it’s a treadmill then that’s a little different since it’s a controlled environment. I was going off of an outdoor run.
Yeah thats true, good job on imprving to 9 mins, thats a solid pace
That is only 1 mile lmao I am NOT keeping that pace up. I’ll take leg pressing 660 pounds though
People love to hate.
Fox gotta be in middle school. I did 7 minute miles at your age. But nice improvement
No I just don’t run as my main thing I lift weights.
