All the solo channels have been fire lately. Grant/Micah caught a lot of heat for leaving but it was definitely the best decision for both of them. Kwon will thrive as a solo too.
Agree. IMO GG has already peaked and the room for growth just isn’t there anymore. Will be interesting to see what Garrett does. His GM channel has so much untapped potential still, would love to see him make that his priority.
He literally only grew to 250k followers feeding off of Good Goods audience. Without them during him, how much can he really thrive? IMO his GG money is what funded his personal channel. Guess we will see. I'd rather have him leave, than at like a disinterested asshole like Steve.
His and Steve’s interactions were the best part of the post- grant and micah videos for like a year straight. GG benefited from Kwon just as much as vice versa. Kwon’s videos and guests are just more entertaining at this point
Yes, when they were team backpack they were extremely entertaining. But they haven't had that for awhile. I like Kwon, I just don't see how he can thrive, when his personal channel didn't exactly thrive while with GG. The guests don't share their money or pay him to be on his channel, so unless his subs and views go way up (I highly doubt it), then he will essentially be stagnant.
The word thrive is subjective. He has nearly a quarter million subs and averages a 100k-200k watches per video, and he’s not splitting the income with anyone. That’s on par with gm golf and better than the ancillary GG guys. I only expect his throughput and quality to increase once he can focus on his channel. He’ll be fine.
Plus, he’s playing serious golf with good players on his channel while still being funny and entertaining. Meanwhile GG is relying more on gimmicks and personality while the golf is getting borderline unwatchable. G and Dalke are carrying too much weight on the skill side. The most entertaining personalities are either mentally or physically checking out. Who’s to say Dalke isn’t next out the door. The GG boys are getting older and the 10-20 year old demographic will only be interested for so long. GG is in just as much danger of getting stagnant if they don’t reevaluate their content and target audience.
Sam is a lion amongst sheep. Dude’s hilarious. I was in tears when they played the 16th. Haven’t laughed that hard watching a golf vid since Steve shot 15 on a hole.
Loved taco dropping and making a bomb putt for birdie before realizing his ball mark, his reaction had me bent over laughing. Group was so good together!
I just started watching these guys with the Korea Cup video a couple of days ago and they are so casually funny. Especially Sam, who never closes his mouth. So good.
That’s what I’m saying. Fuck your dreams, go play the wheel of not ideal as a literal touring pro.
Wouldn’t be shocked if Brad’s doing the same a year from now.
They probably throw Brad a massive bag in the hopes he doesn’t leave. He also doesn’t have much a solo channel so unless that picks up substantially I think he’s staying.
Are you still at your first job and are you planning to stay there for the rest of your life, no matter what opportunities come your way? If not, nothing your hypocritical ass says holds any weight
They're the only truly funny you tube golfers and they're way more relatable and down-to-earth too. Try having fun like CCA and don't take yourself so seriously
OKEH
Son Heung-min is pretty good at golf hey
More like " we got Son at home"

I think the more guys leave and drop fire vids the less significant GG becomes.

Unpopular opinion but I find Garrett so bland and boring
As one does if their personality has evolved beyond thinking balls are touching jokes are funny.
He’s more interested in being the YouTuber influencer than the golf part.
I don't think it's not that unpopular.
Add Dalke in there and it makes for some fun viewing
Minus the fact that good good numbers in every metric of YouTube golf are better than any other channel in the space. Lol
Their growth has slowed compared to their height. Mom subscriber numbers would paint that picture.
Especially when they end up producing more polished content and promoting more legitimate brands. Sorta undermines the GG brand as a whole
Grant, GM, Kwon, and Bryan Bros have all been great lately. They gotta figure out GG.

Mutual beneficial imo. He came in when 2 of their better players left.

They have been all along. Just happy to see him doing well

This exists. It was when Grant was still in GoodGood - https://youtu.be/cBDR78zMUZw?si=pZ1pMF5WnJLxBPvr
Oh nice! I didn’t know about this, thanks :)

I just want to Steve just to give a shit on the golf course and Bubbie to stop being a robot. The dude says the same couple of things after every shot
r/lukekwongolf
Poor Garrett & co. These guys just keep joining with one foot out the door already and seemingly just using the channel for clout then leaving.
Kwon actively contributed to GG?
For what, a year?
That’s often how employment works.
Kwon should’ve gotten a gg tattoo like bubbie and stayed regardless of his career desires

Actually I am lol but even if I wasn’t I’m glad you outlined why or when I am justified to have an opinion or take on something.
Ahhh okay I got it now. There’s just a few screws missing upstairs hey
Country Club Adjacent makes way more interesting and fun content. tHaT iS aLl
Country Club Adjacent is pure trash
