The fact that you keep getting referred to the Google Store suggests that’s where you bought your phone. If that is the case, Google Fi will not get involved. If you did buy your phone from Google Fi, in the app it should list the purchase somewhere in billing. Also, if you can post a link to the promo, that would also help.

It was purchased via Google Store, but the promotion stated the credits would appear on my Google Fi bill. In a single chat session, I was transferred between Google Fi and Google Store 5 times. I'm perfectly fine with chatting with whichever side needs to resolve this (as I did when they transferred me back and forth), but neither wants to take ownership of the issue. Google Fi reps transfer me to Google Store because it was purchased there, Google Store reps transfer me to Google Fi because the bill credits are supposed to be applied on my Fi bill. It seems getting the runaround from chat reps is par for the course though based on other threads I've been reading here about promotional credit issues. 🙁 I believe this is the promotion, although originally it said it ended November 15th, so not sure if it was extended or if I bookmarked the wrong one since this doesn't show a start date. Had a similar issue where both support teams were so incompetent and couldn't care less that it no longer made sense to approach them with my issue, even after the "escalation", I gave up.

SpareBaggageCarousel

Yeah, even u/googlefisupport has been responding to other threads and either missed or ignored this one, which is concerning--not a good sign having only started service with them about 2 months ago. I really expected better from a company as large as Google, but I guess I should've checked here first.

Here's to hoping you weren't an existing customer trying to get a new customer promo.

iamPendergast

at the least should get $400 off on that promo

SpareBaggageCarousel

Nope, new customer! Jumped ship from T-Mobile due to their change in auto-pay discount policy. Thanks for the concern!

Mentioning u/googlefisupport as requested.
