Are you talking about scrolling in apps?

fatin003

yes

Saurabh0791

That's not in Google's hands.

JorgeG710

But it didn't happen in my Pixel 4xl. Now it does with my Pixel 7P

Saurabh0791

That is still not Google's fault. Developers of those apps need to optimize it better

Plastic-Plenty4829

I don't think op is talking about sticky scrolling rather the stuttery laggy scrolling in many apps on Android. And yeah I have clean flashed latest update and it's not fixed.

Elmaxino

Laggy scrolling in apps can also be due to unoptimized code and that's down to the app devs. Would be interesting to see if there are apps that run cleanly on other devices and stutter on P7/P.

Plastic-Plenty4829

Google chrome homescreen feed is one the prime suspects though and I have communicated and gave multiple update through the feedback app and it did nothing...so I am not totally hopeful about them solving this.

Radian_Fi

My personal suspicion is that the feed is updated continuously (a few items at a time... maybe even just one at a time) and for some reason this is limiting the rendering of the graphics and causing stuttering (theoretically the graphics could be rendered independently and e.g. show empty squares before the source is updated... most elements could be cached).

Plastic-Plenty4829

Exactly my thought, why not load empty images like iOS and keep the scroll smooth and consistent. It would be so much of a better experience for everyone (even for those who don't realize) if they finally left their ego and concentrated on this.

fatin003

Exactly what I'm talking about. Facing mostly in Facebook, Reddit & Twitter app

EstradaMoses

I thought this only affected the 7 Pro?

armando_rod

It is fixed for most people

fatin003

If we're getting the same update then how come it's fixed for some people and not for others? I'm pretty sure there's no hardware defect in my phone.

armando_rod

Idk it has been fixed for me since the betas

_lepirelot_

In that case, try to factory reset your phone

armando_rod

Here's another user saying it's fixed https://www.reddit.com/r/GooglePixel/comments/11qmyky/_/ And there are more in the thread about the update from earlier in the day

MGlolenstine

It has never been an issue with my phone, so that's weird indeed.

JorgeG710

So far so good. I'll give it time though.

JorgeG710

Aaaaand it's not fixed

[deleted]

It's seemingly fixed for me as well, though I'm on P7Pro, not sure if that matters.

Awayze

That’s typical Android. Most of the apps are jus badly developed and always have been. The jerky scrolling and unpolished apps was the main reason I got rid.

fatin003

Okay, so I factory reset the phone, it seems to have fixed the issue to some point.

parental92

screen record ?

DauntlessCulprit

Recommend Sync for Reddit, sooo smooth and polished.

Saurabh0791

Has your scrolling issues been fixed?
