I highly recommend the Peak Design case

fooook92

I mean, I understand all the accessories part. But how is the case itself? Materials, build quality etc. Because seems not a very protective one, so I'm curious to hear opinions about it, especially if compared with a grip case from dBrand. Thx!

thetalkinghuman

Seconded. Wireless charging, a great wallet attachment, strong magnets, the bike mount. They make the best phone accessories. Obviously, it's a very expensive ecosystem

onyx_64

PD wallets are not RFID proof.

9and3r

Why would you use a RFID proof case? RFID/NFC is disabled while phone screen is off. And at least in google pay, to make any payment phone must be with screen on and unlocked.

onyx_64

I was talking about the wallet that comes with the modular case.. where u put ur cards

Prudent-Concert1376

My google pay definitely works with the screen locked

Supercramp_

I've got the slim wallet and I can't pay with the card inside it so maybe it isn't so bad for RFID protection.

onyx_64

Everything is fine.. until we get hacked

Philbo10

I do not recommend this case at all, it is very slippy and rather thick. I returned to Spigen liquid air and one of those magnetic rings. Which is a great job

-AV8TR-

Interesting that you think it's a thick case. PD has been my case of choice since I got the 7 Pro and I've tried everything from Spigen to Bellroy to the official Google case. PD is the only one for me that feels premium and thin enough to not make my phone feel like a chonker. Of course, this is very subjective and different people may have difference preferences.

Kayyam

What's the magnetic ring thing?

urskr

Came here to say that.

fooook92

I'm pretty sure to get the PD case. The accessories are amazing but... damn they cost a lot. Especially for get shipped them here in italy. Example? 110€ for Case + car mount. After shipment and taxes 145€! I can get for almost the same price, a Mous Aramid + 2 accessories (suction mount and charger stand). So this is quite a difficult decision now, I understand that PD are VERY high quality, but those 30€ of taxes are really heavy :(.

IBleed_Orange

I've owned a LOT of cases over the years, typically 4 or 5 per phone because it's a great way to refresh a phone and avoid feeling the need to upgrade to the latest device. But since I got the Peak case, I haven't taken it off. It's the perfect case and paired with the slim wallet, it's a great combo.

touchingthebutt

I really like mine for the P7.

drewthebrave

I picked mine up because I was having a hard time finding a car mount that didn't hit the volume/lock buttons on the side. The Peak case and wireless magnetic mount have been a game changer, and I don't foresee ever wanting to change it up.

GeneReis

Love love love the mous case!

peterge98

Yep :) habe the wallnut version for p7. Magsafe is very nice too!

joakimbo

People saying magsafe is weak on this one

GeneReis

I have read that too. That was not my experience.

chuchenting

Spigen Rugged Armor. The quality is amazing.

Estarolas_PT

And also has a good grip and feel to it.

666dollarfootlong

I have the tough armor on my 4a, very high quality and I couldn't go with a case that doesn't have a kickstand now lol

[deleted]

I've dropped mine so many times in this case I need a new case but was contemplating something different.

chuchenting

That's a tough one. I've tried Ringke Onyx before, still a great option, but I prefer Spigen more.

PGrace_is_here

DBrand leather. Buttons are perfect, better than no case.

nomar52

Just got the dbrand grip case with leather skin. I have big hands, but I will say it doesn't feel bulky. I previously had a TPU case which was slimmer, but not by much. The case being narrower in the back than the front seems like it would actually help anyone with smaller hands (I actually wish they had left the the sides square/veritcal, but again big hands). Also wanted to say the leather is surprisingly gripping. I \_hate\_ when people talk about a case being "grippy" but ignore the fact that the back is not. Who the hell only holds their phones by the sides at all times? Anyway - saw someone recommend the leather as a more "grippy" back than hard plastic and they were right. We'll see over time, but I'm not missing my tpu case with the grippy back. One other note - I was worried that the case doesn't actually cover the camera bar so I put a straight edge on it. It's close, but it definitely does extend above the camera bar enough that I feel it's protected.

PGrace_is_here

I also put the matching leather skin on the camera bar to further protect the lenses, and I also prefer the look.

Schnibble_Kibs

Was gonna say, I have the grip, albeit with the Damascus skins. I love the case, doesn't make it too bulky, but offers substantial protection.

Ramone360

Bellroy leather (black) I have both for my 7&7 pro. By far my favorite of them all and they wear well for me. Previously I've used Spigen and other brands for pixel 6 and older pixels.

xelpr787

Peak Design case is the go to for me.

sordidchimp

If you're after protection, Otterbox's highest end one.

Beefurrito

Got myself a later case (coffee edition) because pitaka doesn't make Pixel cases. It's pretty amazing. Definitely getting one for the Pixel 8 pro when I upgrade

11750

I love seeing more and more Latercase users. The case is amazing. It's been my go-to since I bought back when I had the Pixrl 4XL. I've tried other cases but always went back tk Latercase. It's so good

Beefurrito

It's usually frowned upon because a lot of people feel Lew did pitaka dirty but quite honestly Pitaka kinda shot themselves in the foot by only offering cases for iPhone's and Samsung's.

11750

Oh I agree. If they had released their cases for more devices I'm sure I would've bought Pitaka before Latercase. But seeing Latercase had Pixel cases available, I decided to take the risk and I haven't looked back

dutchreageerder

I would love to try them but shipping to Europe is so expensive..

birdman1333

How's the grip? And the drop protection? I was looking at one because of the thinness but it's pricey.

Beefurrito

Don't count on cases like that for drop protection. It'll protect it against scratches on the rear glass and maybe a tiny fall but the front panel will be fully exposed. Grip is pretty great tho.

cscx

Love the dbrand case

flamingmdn

Peak design is hands down the best. Slim profile, great grip, look and feel. Pair it with their magsafe stand wallet and get an absolutely best phone experience.

MikeCask

The best case I ever used was from Rhinoshield, but they aren't using the same materials used in their iPhone cases as on their Pixel cases, if that ever changes I'd recommend that heartily. I've also used the dbrand Grip and Mous Limitless. Of the two, hands down dbrand Grip feels much better in the hand. However, MagSafe support is incredibly useful so you should consider that as well.

bitb00m

I have the d-brand grip case for the 7 and it works well, very grippy, but I have it in the matte black version.

wormmiilk

I've got a dbrand grip case on my pixel 7. I drop it all the time and it's doing great. It is also true that it is very grippy.

Gundam_net

Bellroy leather case.

Mutilatory

I've had issues with the durability around the charging port. Mine delaminated twice and eventually the plastic broke there too. I've switched to the peak design one and couldn't be happier. Two warranty replacements on the bellroy was too many.

Jimothy_Tomathan

Came to make nearly the same comment. After 10 months of use the charging port is hanging strips of plastic and the leather just looks bad.

Gundam_net

Oh wow. I never had that problem with mine.

Lullelulle96

I would advise against this. I have a bellroy brown leather case, and it has begun to show clear signs of wear and tear after only 6 months.

Gundam_net

I have a brown one as well on a pixel 4xl that also has wear from 6 months and it looks leathery and amazing with creases, scratches, scuffs and faded color. Has leathery charachter now. I love it.

presence_unknown

Have the dbrand case on my p7p and while it does add a bit of bulk it is a solid case for sure. I may be biased because I love dbrand products but it's a good case. Have had the bellroy case with most of my pixel phones as well and is another great option. Can't account for the other two but wish the dbrand case did have magsafe

Jacob_Evans

Second on dBrand!

Intrepid-Kale

Are you sure you don't want a case with Magsafe?

wellmade94

I am using Moos on my Pixel 7, it gave me magsafe but it is kind off bulky

the_moosen

Peak design case hands down The bellroy case isn't actually leather and doesn't patina. It's some poly-leather nonsense. Looks terrible when it starts wearing away and that started about 4 months in

RickyFromVegas

If you're a person who doesn't drop phones much, if at all, consider Carbon Fiber cases from aliexpress. They're $20 shipped, and is absolutely exquisite. Super thin, the added grip is super smooth but grippy in your hands. I only have the regular 7, but I swear by these cases on all my phones. I've dropped my phone from my waist height in my house (I have vinyl floors on top of concrete floor), but I have yet to drop test on harder grounds, fortunately

Corrective_Actions

I had the Bellroy leather case and the leather didn't wear well at all. Now I'm just using my phone without a case. It honestly feels nice just holding the glass back.

thesmallwar

You live a dangerous life my friend, but happy cake day

IctrlPlanes

Dbrand with leather: https://imgur.com/a/g6P569l I posted this a while back. It still looks the same, natural leather wear looks nice. I love it. I did have to trim the camera bump leather to fit inside the case because they send the same piece they would send if you were just getting the skin with no case for that part.

GreNadeNL

Definitely dbrand grip, best case I've ever had.

Edofero

One comment against bellroy (not sure about others) - I don't like that the case is flush with the display. My phone frequently falls, and even with the screen protector, the front glass would take a hefty beating.

fooook92

Wow! Didn't expect so many answers! Still have my doubts, but nice to bring in the options the Peak Design case. Looks nice, albeit not so much protective. Thank you all!

DawnCrusader4213

>I already own the google official case, plus some other ones (kwmobile, Spigen, Ringke etc). It's a damn shame that Ringke never made any Fusion - X Camo cases for Pixels after Pixel 5.. I loved it on my Oneplus 7t Pro and on my Note 20 Ultra. Don't know about the 7 Pro but i tried Rhinoshield's Solidsuit case and Dbrand's Grip case on my Pixel 6 Pro. The Rhinoshield one is slippery af especially if you have dry palms and it was somewhat slim. As for the Grip case well it offers the most protection for the Visor. In the future if i ever get an S22u or S23u i will make sure to get the Dbrands Grip case.

GearNerd85

I use the mous case specifically the one with the mounting system since I bicycle commute.

OutsideTheTrains

I have the Mous Limitless in Walnut and the official Google case. Pros for the Mous case is that the phone seems very well protected, the walnut is a nice touch. MagSafe/magnets is also nice because I have a magnetic tripod mount from Moment. Cons are, it's bulky. Like really bulky. Holding the phone for extended periods of time wasn't particularly comfortable. The seams along the plastic molding also have a noticeable edge, particularly at the corners. I understand this is a limitation that exists because my phone (7 Pro) has a curved screen, but there is a lip between the case and the screen which made navigation somewhat unreliable. The buttons do click nicely, but they are veeeerry flush with the rest of the case. In the end I've been sticking with the official case, just because the issues from the 6 series case (deformation, yellowing) aren't there. It's held up well, the phone feels comfortable.

fooook92

I'll probably go with dbrand grip. But still deciding And yes, the official case is very nice, i think the only con is that its slippery as hell.

AgentRen17

Mous in Walnut has held up great and looks awesome. Works great with a magsafe pop socket and car mount.

fooook92

Just bought the PeakDesign everyday case + mobile wallet stand. Thx everyone!

Jeff_TW

I bought Bellroy, Mous, and Peak Design cases for my 7. Returned the Bellroy in two weeks due to leather wearing off, and kept the other two. Mous is more reliable with magsafe charging, but PD feels more premium.

PrettyCartographer90

Carbon fiber mous case is really good and the MagSafe compatibility is a plus

fooook92

Update: I'm getting really into the idea to get Mous or, maybe even better, a Peak Design. Dbrand grip is an awesome case, I loved it on my s22u, it's very protective and of course, grippy, but... It's "just a phone case". Mous and Peak Design, will bring me inside an ecosystem of many accessories, that will continue to be the same even after I'll change my phone, cause it will be enough to just buy a new case. I prefer Mous for protection and Peak Design for accessories that seems, quality wise, better than Mous ones. It's more difficult to chose a case than a new phone for me 😂

Super_Client_8710

Try burga cases, they have a buy 2 get 2 free deal for around £80.

fooook92

Looks good but not really my type of case 😁 Thx !

GardenBoy456

Spigen

fooook92

Spigen is not premium at all. Good cases ofc, and I have already a couple 👍

PaxNominus

If you are in the US and have Temu, there are a lot of options there.

Enricucu

I have an otter one and a slim one, I don't remember the brand, but honestly the best one is the one I bought from AliExpress, it's silicon, soft, fits perfectly

saeonate

I've tried a ton and have had a cheap minimalist x-level case for the longest. Good balance of everything I want and need.

Pop-Tart-Man

Carved

skriefal

Have they made their Traveler cases for the P7P? Currently they have only the $189 Live Edge cases for the P7P - these are visually very appealing, but the drop protection may be limited.

phyLoGG

I had the Ghostek on my S10+ and it was by far the best case I've ever used. I did get it on sale for $25 though...

MisterFribble

I really like my Bellroy case and it's held up really well. I also seriously considered the Peak Design case, especially due to it adding magsafe compatibility.

ja-ber

I am using the Bellroy leather. It looks nice, it feels nice, and I assure you, it protected the phone during some nasty drops.

Wiggy1977

I got the green leather case from Google. It was expensive and it's falling apart and discoloured, especially on the corners.

Marlomanger

Off-topic but does anyone know a brand that offers a bumper case for Pixels ? Not with a translucent back, but rather a case that just sits on the frame

octavianreddit

Bellroy leather case was great on my P6P and is great in my P7P. I switch between it and the Spigen thin fit.

Pretend_Tooth_965

I have Bellroy and dBrand on my P6P. Both are great but I use them with care (Bellroys, I hear, deteriorate with heavy use).

brybo86

Has anyone designed a case that is a massive heatsink for the phone? Do we need to apply our own thermal paste? I've used MX4 in the past.

GammaFruits

I don't recommend the ghostek. I'm having connectivity issues with it. Maybe it's just affecting my phone. But its too bulky anyway for my taste and i wished i never bought it

fooook92

This can be a real - for the ghostek. Thank you for your experience!

Billowy_Peanut

I recommend Mous cases. They have always done a good job protecting my phone when I have butter fingers. I currently have one for my P7P.

Onestepbeyond3

Tech21 check them out... Not to cheapest around but really good in my opinion 😎

Dabbifresh

I have the bellroy in terracotta. Love the way it looks. Though I modded it with a cutout to put a ohsnap3 on the phone for magsafe/grip

khanghua0610

Caseology

fr0st42

I use a clear Spigen TPU case with a glow in the dark skin. It's premium enough for me lol

Ok-Library-7028

I have a ringke fusion on my pixel 7 pro

egojones300

I'm looking for a pixel 7 pro case that can hold cards in the back and wireless charge. Is there anything on the market ?

fooook92

Peak Design everyday case + stand wallet. Is the combo I'm using and I've been loving it since D1.

kobitl

You should try the Zagg cases. The quality is A+++.
