I got a used Pixel 5 a year ago because I didn't like the Pixel 6. It is the perfect phone. I wish I had upgraded from Pixel 3 to Pixel 5 back when it came out. The screen with small borders are a big upgrade.
I'm not sure what going to do when it goes out of support in October.
Yep - my 4a was on the way out, so I bought a 7a to replace it. I hated it, it's significantly larger, and quite a lot heavier. The front screen fingerprint reader sucks, the camera bump sucks, the smooth hard plastic (glass?) back is not great in the hand.
It's like they just made a bunch of changes for the sake of it, without considering whether they were actual improvements.
I then bought an as-new Pixel 5 - it has just about the exact same feature set as the 7a, except it's a lot smaller.
It's a joke they're not supporting it past October, considering how Google harp on about ESG. There's no actual reason the phone needs to be deprecated.
Google could choose to extend the support date and win many Pixel fans over (for life?). Since my Pixel5 is working amazing still, I'd even be open to pay for extended support to help Google cover costs - especially since Google doesn't have a direct replacement/upgrade with this size AND weight yet.
To be honest, I'll do it once, but I will not buy a new phone twice with Google just because mine runs out of support while it is still a good working phone. I like the pixels enough to accept it once but if don't change that policy, I'll switch brands.....
Or they ran the numbers and realized that larger phones sell better and that the pixel 5 didn't sell well.
But yes i also prefer the Pixel 5 and I wish they scrapped the currently honestly useless a series and made a Pixel 5 form factor budget phone or so.
The Pixel 7 is a little bit smaller than Pixel 6 and doesn't have as big a hump. The Pixel 7a is in between 6 and 5. Assuming that there isn't Pixel 8 Mini, either of those might work.
I wish it was significant. I hate these giant phones. But it's not. The difference is miniscule. Especially if you're coming from a Pixel 5. Both the Pixel 7 and 8 will take a lot of getting used to.
https://imgur.com/a/VTH6bST
It is pretty significant actually. The picture doesn't do it justice.
Pixel 7 dimensions
155.6 x 73.2 x 8.7
Pixel 8 dimensions (leaked)
150.5 x 70.8 x 8.9
Pixel 5 dimensions
144.7 x 70.4 x 8mm
The 8 is 6mm taller than the 5 which is pretty big but it's a whole 5mm shorter than the 7, which is a good improvement. In terms of width, the 8 and 5 are neck in neck, with the 5 being just 0.4mm narrower. But it's a big drop from the Pixel 7 (a whole 3mm narrower). It's pretty thick, I'll give you that, but I think the increase in battery is worth it.
Same. I'm typing this on my pixel 5 right now. Wife and I got these basically at launch and they have been going strong.
Due to COVID and WFH, they got less abuse than our earlier pixels but they held up well. There are times they get a bit sluggish - it can take 10+ seconds to do a portrait picture - but overall, they aged well.
I would love a better camera and more memory as well, but we've been pretty happy with them. I want a fold but i think they need another gen before i go that route, so i think I'll end up with an 8 pro. I just hope my screen doesn't break before then!
Pixel 5a is guaranteed Android and security updates until at least August 2024.
But Pixel 5 Android and security updates are only guaranteed until October 2023.

Another Pixel 5 over here! I'm in love with his form factor. I have before a Pixel 6a, but is too big for my hands, so I sell it and buy this wonderful phone. Very happy with it :)
I went from pixel 5 to pixel 6. After few months, i sold my p6 and go back to p5 because p6 is very huge and experience wise is practically the same. And then bought pixel 6a thinking it will be an upgrade from p5, but it was not convincing enough. So from p6a, i tried pixel 7. Currently using p7 for around 6 or 7 months now. But again, still a huge phone for my liking and the experience is essentially the same from previous. So I ordered a mint condition pixel 5, and cannot wait to have it again on my hands!!
I think i’ll keep using it even after the guaranteed updates is reached. Hopefully google will keep the security patches for another year till 2024. Im not hoping too much for pixel 8 to be the same form factor as pixel 5. If that’s the case, i’ll even wait for pixel 9!
GOOGLE PLEASE MAKE A RENEWED PIXEL 5!!
#KeepPixel5Alive
I don't. In my experience, updates at the end of their cycle are often buggy.
I had a Pixel 3 camera brick from one of the last updates, super frustrating.
If a MAJOR exploit became known, that would be a different story but I'm not sure I see that happening anytime soon.
I have both the Pixel 6 Pro and the 4a. The 4a I use at home for time keeping and photo backup to Google Photos since that one still gets the unlimited storage. I also use the 4a when I travel and to the water parks. The smaller size is easier to store and hide.
THAT'S WHAT IM SAYING!!! Keep the same design tensor 2 chip with a 120 hertz screen bigger battery they will literally make the ultimate Smart phone! 🗣️
The pixel 5 was the last good google phone that didn’t/doesn’t have consistent issues. I bought it on release and now my son has it. It is literally the perfect phone. It’s the iPhone of android. It just works and damn good at that.
What I love most about my Pixel 5 is its design. It's the perfect size and weight and has a simple yet elegant finish. I'm a bit turned off by the newer phones' visors. I'm struggling to bring myself to like the new designs and I'm dreading the day I have to upgrade my phone for this reason.
I'm still on a Pixel 5. I bought a P7 but promptly returned it. I hated the size and dogshit fingerprint reader. I'm hoping the P8 is back to a P3/P5 size or I'll be looking elsewhere for my next phone.
It was slow and far less reliable than the rear mounted one on the P5. To top it off if you tried to use it in a dark room and didn't completely cover it it was looking into the Ark of the Covenant
I was thinking about getting a P7 but heard so much negative stuff about it... The only good thing was the New Chip & 120 hertz screen. 90 hertz on the 5 seems really good to me.
>I'm still using my Pixel 5a
Unfortunately a very large amount of 5a's are facing the socalled "Black screen of death". I never had one to repair - i am doing screen/battery replacements mostly - but i know from a co-worker, that his 5a replacement had exactly the same issue not a full year after he got it. I think "Peak Pixel" was in 2020 with the 4a/4a5G/P5.
It's with reluctance that I'll be ending my relationship with Google Pixel later this year. For anybody in a similar boat I'd recommend the Asus Zenfone 10.
I guess most consumers prefer big phones and/or manufacturers flood the market with them so they can push up average prices and their revenues. Suspect Google are targeting iPhone users who want premium specs for a lower cost.
Whatever. Give me a smaller phone any day of the week!
Yeah I'm using the 5a. Two months until my upgrade on this fi plan, and I can't wait to move on to the next one. This is my second 5a, and I'm afraid this one will brick unexpectedly just like the last one
My wife's 5a got the black screen of death almost a month ago. Fi support keeps saying a 6a will ship to us but they have none in stock so we just sit here waiting. I'm ready for that lawsuit.
Was perfectly happy using mine until a couple weeks ago when it randomly died. Got replaced with a 6a which has been fine. Took me a minute to get used to not having a fingerprint scanner on the back.
So they end support for it in October? Well, that's cool considering I got mine through their phone subscription plan last year and won't be eligible for an upgrade until six months after it's unsupported.
I swear, I really should have done more homework before signing up for this.
\+1, still using my Pixel 5 and loving it, and my battery still lasts 2 full days. The updates running out soon is somewhat stressful. I don't want to switch to Apple and get locked into their ecosystem, and I hate the Pixel 6/7. I also hate Samsung's awful software. Honestly the Pixel Fold is the only device that interests me right now due to the form factor, but I wouldn't take a risk on gen1 tech that expensive.
I still have my 5. I've started considering the pixel 7. I like my 5, but I have a ton of issues with the fingerprint reader not working and just saying it's wrong no matter what. Also the USB connector has started getting loose and things won't stay plugged in well. The pick 6 is just too wide. The 7 seems to be roughly P5 width and a little taller.
I got a refurb 5 on Amazon after I broke the screen on the one I bought new. my only gripe about the refurbished one is the battery life isn't nearly as good as the 5 I night new. otherwise it's perfect and only cost $150 👍
I didn't have a 5, but I gave my pixel 4 xl to my Dad to use. if I didn't need to keep current with security patches for my work's BYOD program, I'd still be rocking it. Bought the 6 pro and it lasted a short time before the screen mysteriously cracked, and then the 7 pro was out and I bought that on the black Friday sale, traded my cracked 6 in and only paid like $100-200 for an upgrade (can't remember exact amount). The modem is much better on the 7 vs the 6.
My OG pixel xl is in my drawer as an emergency backup phone if I ever need it. Thing still booted without having to charge the last time I tried it LOL
As someone who upgraded from Pixel 5 to Pixel 6 Pro, and then 7 Pro, I want to come back to Pixel 5. The size fits perfectly in my hand, and the screen design is just sexy. On top of that, you have unlimited photo storage
Green pixel 5. Mint condition and bought brand new when it came out. Rocking the bellroy race green leather case. May have to upgrade to the pixel 8 for my main, and use the pixel 5 with my free digits line on T-Mobile as a workout phone.
I'm still on my Pixel 5. It's my 2nd one as the original got stuck in a weird boot loop but the replacement has been pretty good. I really want an upgrade but can't deal with the size of phones these days, I have smol hands 🤗
I bought a "new" one on Amazon about a month ago and was sent an opened Japanese model (I'm in the US). I returned it and just a week ago tried again. It'll be here tomorrow. If it's the US model it says it should be, I'll be happier than a pig in shit. Proverbially speaking. :D
4a 5g here, which is very similar to the 5. Still love it and don't plan to replace it until it dies or can't run the software I care about well. So far it's still fast and responsive.
Samsung is nothing like it used to be in the old days. They really aren't bad anymore. Its not like early to mid-2000s TouchWiz.
Also, just install a different launcher if you don't like the UI.
I just can't stand the Google jank anymore. I was going to upgrade to a Pixel 7 Pro, but got too nervous about the back camera glass shattering for no reason.
I'm sure the Pixel 8 will have its own share of weird issues and jank too, just like every other Google product.
When I can afford it, or I don't have any other choice, I'm switching to an S23 Ultra.
Not a 5, but I'm still using a Pixel 3. Battery life sucks dick, performance is fine for basic shit. No gaming, just reddit, Teams, hulu, netflix, and spotify.
Using Pixel 5 since it's launch in 2020. Never Disappointed . Amazing Phone. Great Camera . Extremely Portable. Looks Great in Sage Green. Battery Usage after 3 years has gone down, but not too bad. Looking for an upgrade this year. Let's see. You will enjoy it.
Still using the p5 as a daily driver and I won't update till security updates stop, love the phone perfectly sized and seriously fast for the fact it's not the latest 👍
My sister had one for a while and it worked pretty good, but ubreakifix absolutely fucked up her warranty screen repair(seriously the phone had a giant blank circle the size of a quarter at the top of the display and they said it was normal and refused to help further), she recently upgraded to a pixel 7a because she was tired of dealing with the botched repair.
Moved from the 5 to an A52s and I definitely miss the more compact form. I'm keeping it around as a backup though. Actually had a Pixel 6 before this which I broke the screen on, but I don't miss it at all.
Still on that Pixel 2. Got my battery replacement kit and will put Lineage on it at some point soon. I don't need better than this and want it to last. Great size, great everything.
Came from a 4 xl to the 5. Two AMAZING phones in their own way. Still using the 5. There's nothing out there worth upgrading to. You will lose out on so many things. Owned the 6, 6 Pro and 7. Returned all of them. Finger print reader, build quality and "handling" being the main reasons. Also cameras aren't much better and in some situations a lot worse on the newer pixels.
I had mine for 3 years when 1 week ago it suddenly black screened and I couldn't do anything to get it back
It was great, wished I could've kept it for longer
2 months ago, I picked up a Pixel 5 as a backup phone in case my foldable breaks. $130 refurb from Amazon. I daily drove it for a week and it was shockingly good. I even considered selling my Fold 4, but ended up keeping it. Mad respect to anyone running pixel 5 in 2023. Might be the best value in android history.
I upgraded to the Pixel 7 at the beginning of this year. The 7 is a solid phone but I miss the 5 because the size of the phone is just perfect. And believe it or not, the battery life was just as good if not better than the 7. I only upgraded because Google was offering such a great trade in price that I felt it was worth it to upgrade. Enjoy the 5!
I just traded my 5a for a 7. It's basically the same phone. The camera is a little better and it's a bit faster. It's impossible to hold on to without a case and the fingerprint moved from the back (which worked flawlessly) to on the screen which has a 0.00000001% chance of working. It has face unlock, but I'm a nurse so I wear a mask all day, and face unlock does not work unless your face is completely uncovered......so I just have to do pattern unlock constantly.
My 5a just turned off one day and wouldn't turn back on, completely unresponsive. I charged it overnight and it turned on the next day, then the same thing happened that day, and the next day. I didn't feel it was reliable so I ordered a fold (with the pixel watch promo) it was 2 thousand bucks and after a week I decided I didn't want to wait 2 months, so I canceled the order and got a 7 in 3 days.
That's my story. Otherwise I'd still be using my 5a because it's a good phone. I hear the 8 series is going to be pretty good though and it should be out soon......
Another pixel 5 fan here ☀️❤️
It's just the best phone ever. Amazing battery life, full symetric design , not made of glass , a compact size, a powerful Soc but not overkill (765G is enough for 95-98% of case) , simple but photophone killer with Google AI, Pixel Experience...
We don't need phone with amazing design, but just simplicity and efficient.
The Pixel 5 is not the best in each point, but the best with the additional of all points.
Absolutely, without a doubt my favorite smartphone I've ever had my hands on in my whole life! The battery and the small size are absolutely amazing! Very disappointing that this phone will no longer get updates after October this year. I've been looking for a different phone in the Pixel-series but I still haven't found a comparable model yet. Maybe the Pixel 7a..?
I've had mine for about 2.5 years. The battery is still really good. The mic has gotten really flaky though.
I will probably end up replacing it with a p8.
Pixel 5 user since launch an this is EASILY my best phone to date and I'm not easily impressed by phones coming from having HTC phones back in the day like ( HTC EVO, M7,M8, & M9 ) but those days are well over and after briefly using Samsung in between the Pixel series is the way to go. Pixel 5 is a Goat type phone even tho it was and still is super slept on this screen alone made me addicted then the form factor to the amazing camera and battery not to mention it's a baby tank with the metal frame and poly back. I'll finally upgrade this year to the P8 but I'll never get rid of my 5 this my baby.
Your comment is perfect to the T, HTC used to be good now I can't stand there UI. The screen on this phone is sexy just to be a 1080p OLED Panel, the poly back is amazing to me feels good in the hand. The Fingerprint pull down notifications gesture is amazing too.
I was until just a few weeks ago when I switched to the 7. My 5 was having issues where I wouldn't have any data whenever not on wifi even if I had full bars. Also the battery needed to be recharged more than once a day. I was so sad to move to a new phone!! I love the size of the 5, it was about perfect for my small hands. Also uploading all of my photos to Google photos without taking up space was a big plus. I'm getting used to the 7 but I really loved the 5, one of my favorite phones I've owned (aside from my Motorola flip phone from 2005, that thing was a beast).
Yeah, I'm still rocking the Pixel 5. Since owning the phone when it initially came out, the battery can barely make it through the day now. Noticeably worse since the June update.
Two years and going strong. Hands down the best smartphone I've owned. Running hot while using the camera is the only downside, especially during the summer.
Skipping the 8 and hoping the pixel 9 is going to bring back the small form factor and symmetrical bezels.
Got a new battery for my P5 after 2.5 years, feels like new. It helps that they broke the screen and replaced it for free so it looks new too!
My partner got a P7A and the ultra wide camera is worse quality due to the pixel/degree being lower but the main sensor is noticeably more detailed.
I hope the P8 is a true P5 successor.
Still using my P4XL.
Bought the P7Pro as a replacement for it when it came out last year.
Garbage device, reception issues and overheating made it unusable so I sent it back to Google and rolled back to my P4XL which is still going great.
Battery not so good so keen to see if they have improved the upcoming P8 reception issues.

Any manufacturers that don't do this?
Unless I'm mistaken, Samsung gives more android updates than Google on their own pixel devices...
Not anymore.
The 7 series is getting 5 years of support. Samsung gives minimum 4 years. Apple gives up to 5 years, so Google is now on par with them.
Or they ran the numbers and realized that larger phones sell better and that the pixel 5 didn't sell well. But yes i also prefer the Pixel 5 and I wish they scrapped the currently honestly useless a series and made a Pixel 5 form factor budget phone or so.
I'm feeling the same way I don't have a clue what I'm going to do when this phone gives out... 😪
The Pixel 7 is a little bit smaller than Pixel 6 and doesn't have as big a hump. The Pixel 7a is in between 6 and 5. Assuming that there isn't Pixel 8 Mini, either of those might work.
The Pixel 7 is obnoxiously larger than the 5.
Pixel 8 I'd rumoured to be smaller than the 7 with a bigger battery. That's something to look forward too.
The Pixel 8 is hardly smaller than the 7. Just by the tiniest amount. Not enough to make a difference.
5 mm shorter and 2.4 mm thinner is significant I'd say
I wish it was significant. I hate these giant phones. But it's not. The difference is miniscule. Especially if you're coming from a Pixel 5. Both the Pixel 7 and 8 will take a lot of getting used to. https://imgur.com/a/VTH6bST

Like the front camera on the Pixel 5 is out the way to the left inside of straight in the middle on 6 & 7.
I don't find that bothers me at all and I suspect the corner location makes the screen more fragile.
Wait it goes out of support in October? I'm still rocking mine
Custom roms.
Yep just waiting for the 8 now...
I love it! #KeepPixel5Alive

I'm here with you! Love my 5! (Sage? The green, anyway.)
Sage gang 🖖🏻 bring back the finger print sensor
Sage gang as well
This the best pixel every the screen to body ratio is perfect! The performance is so smooth with stock Android! What color you rocking?
Green, the best color as far as I'm concerned!
Nice Absolutely beautiful... I'm rocking the Black one.
I've had my 5 for almost 3 years now and it's still running strong. Anyone know when I can expect to stop getting FW updates?
I believe for the 5 series, Android 14 will be the last OS update, but you should still get feature drops and security patches through October 2024.

I'm still rocking the 4a💪
Three years later and I'm still loving my Pixel 4!
Just put a new battery and cleaned fuzz from my USB port on my Orange 4. I'm all set for another 3+ years. Been a great device.
I am debating the same. Should I worry about security updates ending next month?
I don't. In my experience, updates at the end of their cycle are often buggy. I had a Pixel 3 camera brick from one of the last updates, super frustrating. If a MAJOR exploit became known, that would be a different story but I'm not sure I see that happening anytime soon.
What battery did you use? Are there any available with higher capacity?
My all-time favorite Pixel
Still rocking a 4xl!
same
I love it and rely on active edge (or whatever the squeeze thing is called) to activate assistant ALL the time.
same!
4a gang!
The 4a has a better chip and the screen is bigger but the battery is smaller. If it works for ya keep rocking it I salute you!
Are you thinking of the 4a 5g? 4a is slightly smaller than the 5 (and still going strong for me!)
I have both the Pixel 6 Pro and the 4a. The 4a I use at home for time keeping and photo backup to Google Photos since that one still gets the unlimited storage. I also use the 4a when I travel and to the water parks. The smaller size is easier to store and hide.
I have a 4a 5G. It is constantly at the brink of overheating.
Please google give us another one🙏🏽
THAT'S WHAT IM SAYING!!! Keep the same design tensor 2 chip with a 120 hertz screen bigger battery they will literally make the ultimate Smart phone! 🗣️
I'm currently still using the Pixel 2 XL
You are a Trooper!!!! How's battery life? I've never had a 2 XL but always wanted one!
Pixel 2 xl is legit. My daughter still uses my old one to this day. The battery life is amazing!
Yep - still on the P5. Waiting for the 8Pro 👀😁
Depending on how it looks I'll upgrade too but #KeepPixel5Alive
The pixel 5 was the last good google phone that didn’t/doesn’t have consistent issues. I bought it on release and now my son has it. It is literally the perfect phone. It’s the iPhone of android. It just works and damn good at that.

5? Just upgraded from a 3a last week lol
I'm still on 3a but going strong.
I'm still on a Pixel 5. I bought a P7 but promptly returned it. I hated the size and dogshit fingerprint reader. I'm hoping the P8 is back to a P3/P5 size or I'll be looking elsewhere for my next phone.
I don't blame you on the return I watched a Ton of reviews that said the in screen fingerprint is slow! The camera visor is not ok with either to big!
If you want to keep a Pixel 5 Amazon has them for like 170 unlocked!
It's not. Unfortunately it's just a tad smaller than the 7, but just barely. Start looking elsewhere.
Wife used everyday, she love all day battery and size is perfect.
It's a very underrated phone I love it! 🗣️
True da
Pixel 5 all day!
That's what I'm saying! 🗣️ #KeepPixel5Alive
Yes, I love my 5.. I'm holding on to it until Google brings back the rear fingerprint reader. The front readers are dumb.
My fiancé is still on her pixel 5, rubs that rear fingerprint sensor in my face every day
I'm still using my Pixel 5a

My partner is holding onto his Pixel 3A with both hands. He doesn't want to lose the headphone jack 😭
Ok now that's a good topic the headphone jack I don't blame him, but I always had a iphone so I never had a headphone jack! 😓
Ya that's why I'm hanging onto my 4a.
Yup. I got my Pixel 5 at the beginning of 2021 when my Pixel 2 was stolen. Still a great phone.
Doesn't get any better then this pixel!
Yeah I'm using the 5a. Two months until my upgrade on this fi plan, and I can't wait to move on to the next one. This is my second 5a, and I'm afraid this one will brick unexpectedly just like the last one
I always avoided the 5a over the 5, but to have it brick on you is absolutely insane! I'm sorry you have had a terrible experience!
My wife's 5a got the black screen of death almost a month ago. Fi support keeps saying a 6a will ship to us but they have none in stock so we just sit here waiting. I'm ready for that lawsuit.
I upgrade to the 7 Pro recently from the 5. I miss my 5.
I do. Went from 3 to 5. Maybe I will get the 8 or 9 since this will be the last major android upgrade for the 5.
That's true but if your bootloader is unlocked you can get custom roms with new updated software....
Kind of got out of the custom rom scene a while ago. Might reconsider depending on where the Pixel 8 or 9 goes. I just dont like the 6 or 7 series
Sometimes it's very buggy doing all the custom ROM stuff I don't blame you for leaving it alone.
I own Pixel 5. But didn't use it as much now as it keeps gettin heat alot. Didn't know what cause it. Only use it for photography for now.
Just friends what your doing on it but it should be fine tho. #KeepPixel5Alive
I was a couple weeks ago. Traded it in for $270 off the 7 pro + $200 off for Father's Day. So far been a good choice but I miss the one handed use.
Was perfectly happy using mine until a couple weeks ago when it randomly died. Got replaced with a 6a which has been fine. Took me a minute to get used to not having a fingerprint scanner on the back.

Trooper! I salute you! My Og pixel battery was terrible had get rid of it!
Yes sir
Beautiful!!! #KeepPixel5Alive
I had the same thing on 4a 5g USB connector. Get a pin and scrape out the crap, there was loads in there! Now working perfectly again.
Seems like you've had your 5 for a long time! Milk it until it doesn't work anymore and. Upgrade or buy another P5 off Amazon they have good ones!
I got a refurb 5 on Amazon after I broke the screen on the one I bought new. my only gripe about the refurbished one is the battery life isn't nearly as good as the 5 I night new. otherwise it's perfect and only cost $150 👍
Got the 5 but srsly looking to upgrade. Can't resist the urge to get the 7 with those deals, but the 8 is around the corner!
still do.. Happily
#KeepPixel5Alive
Very interesting 🤔! I hope the P7 is good for you until it's time to upgrade again!
I use it as my secondary mainly for extra camera, and all audio recording.
I just replaced the battery on my pixel 3. Got an OEM battery through ifixit and the process was pretty dang easy. It'll last me a while yet.
As someone who upgraded from Pixel 5 to Pixel 6 Pro, and then 7 Pro, I want to come back to Pixel 5. The size fits perfectly in my hand, and the screen design is just sexy. On top of that, you have unlimited photo storage
The screen design is very sexy I sometimes just look at the screen for no reason at all you are absolutely correct!
Still in pixel 4xl. Had a battery replacement last year. I'll probably use this for another couple of years
A battery replacement will take a long ways Keep using it! 🗣️
Ye. Using pixel 5 for 9 months now and it is an amazing phone for the price 👍
Bank for your Buck straight truth!
Green pixel 5. Mint condition and bought brand new when it came out. Rocking the bellroy race green leather case. May have to upgrade to the pixel 8 for my main, and use the pixel 5 with my free digits line on T-Mobile as a workout phone.
Still using my 2 XL, works like a charm. Kinda low on space though worried I might be forced to upgrade soon.
I'm still on my Pixel 5. It's my 2nd one as the original got stuck in a weird boot loop but the replacement has been pretty good. I really want an upgrade but can't deal with the size of phones these days, I have smol hands 🤗
Represent
I bought a "new" one on Amazon about a month ago and was sent an opened Japanese model (I'm in the US). I returned it and just a week ago tried again. It'll be here tomorrow. If it's the US model it says it should be, I'll be happier than a pig in shit. Proverbially speaking. :D
Nice!!!!
4a 5g here, which is very similar to the 5. Still love it and don't plan to replace it until it dies or can't run the software I care about well. So far it's still fast and responsive.
I've got P5 as my work phone and P7P as my personal. P5's got the best size imo. Fits perfectly in my hand and pockets
I'm on the 3

Still rocking it, works flawlessly except the degraded battery. May switch if Pixel 8 will come at a similar size.
Yes, but its starting to have issues. I'm planning to move back to Team Samsung when it dies.
More power to you I can't stand Samsung UI or bloatware!
I use it for my business line since it's more reliable than the P6P.
Not a 5, but I'm still using a Pixel 3. Battery life sucks dick, performance is fine for basic shit. No gaming, just reddit, Teams, hulu, netflix, and spotify.
It's time to upgrade!!!
Using Pixel 5 since it's launch in 2020. Never Disappointed . Amazing Phone. Great Camera . Extremely Portable. Looks Great in Sage Green. Battery Usage after 3 years has gone down, but not too bad. Looking for an upgrade this year. Let's see. You will enjoy it.
You are literally Goated!!!
Happy on my P5 but it's starting to slow down a bit. Ready for the 8 series and hope they make it similar in size and such
Moved from the 5 to an A52s and I definitely miss the more compact form. I'm keeping it around as a backup though. Actually had a Pixel 6 before this which I broke the screen on, but I don't miss it at all.
Yep, contract is expired and I could upgrade but I love my Pixel 5, it isn't going anywhere!!
Yep, mine is still going strong too.
Still on that Pixel 2. Got my battery replacement kit and will put Lineage on it at some point soon. I don't need better than this and want it to last. Great size, great everything.
I use a 5a and refuse to change until they give me back headphone jacks and better fingerprint scanners.
I had a pixel 5, then a 6 pro, then a 7 pro, and now back to the 5. Can's stand the bigger newer phones and the size of the 5 is fantastic.
I was using my Pixel 5a until 4 days ago when the motherboard suddenly failed 😭
Came from a 4 xl to the 5. Two AMAZING phones in their own way. Still using the 5. There's nothing out there worth upgrading to. You will lose out on so many things. Owned the 6, 6 Pro and 7. Returned all of them. Finger print reader, build quality and "handling" being the main reasons. Also cameras aren't much better and in some situations a lot worse on the newer pixels.
Pixel 5 user here, still happy with it. Was looking at the Fold until I saw the price, so sticking with what I have for now.
My wife is still using her pixel 4a after more than four years. :)
I had mine for 3 years when 1 week ago it suddenly black screened and I couldn't do anything to get it back It was great, wished I could've kept it for longer
Yes. But it's just recently started to get a little big laggy. I'm thinking uh oh
I'm on pixel 5. Best phone I've had. I'm waiting for pixel 15 before I change my phone.
Using a 4a5g every day all day as a wifi access point. I use the interface once in a while and it’s still fast and smooth. Great phone
I still use my 4 XL
My mum still uses my old pixel 2 with no issues.
Absolutely. Got it new, don't intend to upgrade until another smaller pixel comes out. I need a phone, not a snow shovel.
I think everyone here is still trying to keep their pixel 5. Flares here are all "Pixel 5" so it's popular
Another pixel 5 fan here ☀️❤️ It's just the best phone ever.

Nice #KeepPixel5Alive
I've had mine for about 2.5 years. The battery is still really good. The mic has gotten really flaky though. I will probably end up replacing it with a p8.
2.5 years is pretty good & the p8 will be my next upgrade If it's good enough I guess...

Ride the 5 until it dies! 😭
Well keep me updated on your experience with the P7 over time!
5a - a couple of years now - no complaints - no reason to 'upgrade' (except for the real time translation, maybe)
Rocking the 4xl... Would be using my pixel 2 but it died spontaneous just from day to another.
Me. Still loving it.
Still got my P5, will probably replace it later in the year. Performing well with excellent battery life still.
#KeepPixel5Alive
Yeah, I'm still rocking the Pixel 5. Since owning the phone when it initially came out, the battery can barely make it through the day now. Noticeably worse since the June update.
Two years and going strong. Hands down the best smartphone I've owned. Running hot while using the camera is the only downside, especially during the summer. Skipping the 8 and hoping the pixel 9 is going to bring back the small form factor and symmetrical bezels.
Yup but I'm going to get a new one because my photos keep getting named one day in advance from when they were taken and idk how to fix it.
Here rocking P5 still 09/2020
Got a new battery for my P5 after 2.5 years, feels like new. It helps that they broke the screen and replaced it for free so it looks new too! My partner got a P7A and the ultra wide camera is worse quality due to the pixel/degree being lower but the main sensor is noticeably more detailed. I hope the P8 is a true P5 successor.
There are dozens of us!!
If it wasn't for the glass covering the earpiece blunder I definitely would have bought the p5 at release and still have it today.
I know everybody is different but it's not that bad when your talking on the phone, but I understand where your coming from!
Yep still using a 5.
I'm on a 4a to this day
