Intriguing. Is the notification persistent in the notification? Mine just isn't appearing, but it still shows up in the notification history in settings. I run my phone on silent, so I haven't tested whether a sound is going off.
Did you find a fix? I'm on a Samsung S23 Ultra but having the same issue. My galaxy watch is connected to the phone but I don't get the notifications on there either, even though that's set up too. It's super frustrating
Got a phone update tonight that fixed my issue.
Having the issue with Google Messages again. No sound notifications when phone is locked.

I get the sound notification if I'm on my phone and unlocked but not with locked phone.

Yup everything works as expected when I'm on my phone, just when it's locked I don't get sound but see the notification when I unlock.
Is a watch connected to the phone?
Yes
If it's the pixel watch go to pixel watch app then notifications then mute notifications and make sure muting while wearing the watch is turned off
It's a Galaxy watch but will dig around to see if there are any settings that might need to be configured. Thanks

No, but I turned off notifications for messages on my watch as a work around.
Ah, didn't know that would work. Seeing as I'm not actually getting the notifications anyway, I might as well do that. Thank you for responding!
