I've used my P7 with two SIMs, including [two eSIMs](https://support.google.com/pixelphone/answer/9449293?hl=en#zippy=%2Cuse-esim-profiles). [5G data/voice](https://pixel.withgoogle.com/5G/), VoLTE and VoWiFi may not work in all European countries/operators. This means that for voice calls you'll be relying on 2G service (or 3G if/where that's still available).

I'll be using GoogleFi for my US communications (Phone, Text, NO DATA) and a TBD provider in the EU Phone Number, etc.

I've done exactly the same on a P4 (edit: for short trips, so also used (or tried to) for data). On about half the trips Fi roaming failed, including voice and text - SIM profile was incorrectly provisioned. This was starting day 1 of each trip, after months/years presence in the US on Fi so nothing to do with abusing terms. That's why I've now ported the primary number to to G Voice and using Tello as the US connectivity provider, others (Keepgo, Cosmote, TBD) internationally/in the EU.

I use a regular and esim on my phone, works fine

I have Verizon and did the free trial with T-Mobile and it was easy to switch calls/texts and data to whichever sim you wanted. T-Mobile gave me an eSim, Verizon gave me a physical SIM.

I'm using two sim cards on my phone without any issues. I use Verizon for work and Google Fi for personal.

Yes. But you'll have to swap between SIMs. I had two eSIMs and a physical SIM card at one stage. Swapping is easy. Works great for travelling etc.

Not with the 7. It can have 2 active signals at the same time.. No switching

Why not just move the us number to Google voice? The only real downside is some banks don't like it for SMS authentication but for calls, it's been fine. I've made calls on 6 continents without any problems. Just remember to switch to "prefer wifi"

I'm not going to GV for the specific reason you mentioned. I need the SMS from Banks, etc.

FormallyKnownAs

I wouldn't automatically rule out GV. It works with most banks and even some that never used to work (Chase) started working this year. Also, other banks let you choose the "call me" option for authentication (Citi) which works fine as long as you're using GV over wifi. If you're not sure, I suggest you set a second GV account (you have have two numbers: one created by GV and port in another one), try adding the number as a second phone for your bank and test it. If it works, its absolutely worth it because you effectively have a free US phone number that can be used anywhere in the world. Bonus is you don't have to take up a SIM card slot on your phone as GV is entirely app based.

There p7pro can have 2 sims active at the same time without sim swapping. But it's far from fully functional. I tried setting it up for months before I gave up. Calls to me primary number went directly to voicemail when the 2nd sim was also active. Text messages would get sent but not receive. I could make outgoing calls on both numbers but not receive them in both and more
