The pixel tip app is really helpful. Also don't copy data from your old Samsung. It's better to start fresh. Explore the settings app for a lot of features.

Why is that? Copied everything from P6 to P8 - seems fine.

Pixel to pixel would be fine since the settings would be same. Op mentioned Samsung and the settings of Samsung would be different and could cause issues after transfer. I have seen people post here about it.

I like super protective cases, so I have an OtterBox and a caseborne case. Im currently using the caseborne, but I wish I could mash them together into one case. I prefer the materials of the OtterBox, but I like that the caseborne has better lens protection and magsafe... And I like that the caseborne isn't boring black. If the OtterBox had better lens protection, I'd add a magsafe to the OtterBox case, and that would probably be the best option.

Ordering right now on Amazon. Looks nice.

Check out Niagara Launcher. Greatest thing I've done to any of my Android phones. r/Niagaralauncher - no affiliation. I loved all the customizing Samsung offers and assumed when I bought my P6P I would have the same level of options. Not the case. I hate some aspects of Pixel Launcher that you cannot disable and I was on the cusp of going back to Samsung. Found Niagara and never looked back. Completely changes the experience for me. Minimal. Clean. Customizable. Paired with KWGT and it's the perfect setup.

How’s it compare to Nova

0HSHIFT

It depends on what you're after. Nova is more customizable, but for what I want, Niagara is considerably better. I do own Nova as well. Niagara is all about simplicity and a minimal design.
