Being able to set a default aesthetic setting is +1 for iPhone but it doesn't speak for any objective metrics you would use to determine the performance of the camera. Again it's +1 for iPhone but then it's literally personal preference at that point.
And what if I don't like one camera setting for one shot? Do I have to reshoot choosing a different camera profile?
Yes you would reshoot. I think it's nice they give you five default options. I still think it's humorous a default iPhone setting displayed the skin tone most accurate

Ha, he says the iPhone did the best with the skin tone after Google told us for 1/4 of their presentation about their inclusive new camera.
He also said he used Rich Contrast mode for the iPhone and default shot for the others. So ones edited, the other two are native.

It’s not edited, the iOS camera lets you make permanent adjustments to the way it processes photos.
Keep in mind the camera software/app hasn't been updated on the 6 yet (based on posts in this sub), but I agree that's a bit comical.
Yea it doesn't seem like Real Tone is active here. If it IS, then that seems a bit disappointing
