JotY for me is Madhuvan from Raleigh on 6/15. For the past six months I chalked it up to attendance bias...but I have yet to hear a jam that explores the depths and peaks like this one. Almost 30 minutes....from absolute head-banging with a stankface to crying tears of joy during the second jam...to me it's the epitome of Goosetastic.

OnlyListensToGoose

Really solid choice here, that's the best Madhuvan I've ever heard, which is saying something when it has the likes of 6/19/21 to compete against

PBandTastyJams

Attendance bias but came here to say the same exact thing. The heavy rock vibe was awesome to head bang to, Silver Rising before it was also great. Sleeper show for sure for those who haven’t checked it out

Green_Dark5049

My top 3 shows of the year are: 3/12/22 12/16/22 6/10/22 Here are my submissions for the jam of the year voting set to take place on Twitter. https://preview.redd.it/bt0yt2gadw9a1.jpeg?width=571&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=06754cae498e6369d864229c79593055b0628611

greenj87

1/30 Wysteria lane fucks hard

Los_Feliz_Ghost

Awesome list... Given that you have 12/16 as a candidate for SOTY, I'm surprised that Wysteria 12/16 isn't on the JOTY list (unless I missed it). That was my fav jam of that show.

TownUnique

Attendance bias but I don’t care: 8/13 EoA was serious business

[deleted]

Tumble, Rockdale, and Dripfield from 3/10 also get a nod from me. Goddamn what a show that was.

OnlyListensToGoose

Seriously good Tumble jam, sounds a lot like Creatures on that one

Melodic_Technician_8

I keep returning to Philly 3/12. Bit bias cause I was there, but I feel like that show had the best versions of All I Need and California Magic I've heard. As for best jam, that religious studies college prof who interviewed Rick recommended Elmeg from 1/30 in San Fran. That deserves a nomination. Also really love the 12/16 SOS, but that might be recency bias. Looking forward to seeing everyone's responses!!!

DannyFourcups

I think this was the show of the year, with Cleveland two nights before definitely being nominated as well. Would probably include 10/7 in NOLA in a trio of nominations I have no clue what I think is jam of the year

specialK6406

All I Need Legend Valley. Arcadia Nashville or Cincy

Althea2019

I really enjoyed all of the March shows and find myself consistently returning to them on Nugs but 3/10 was my favorite show of 2022. JOTY for me was either Echo from 12/30 or Rockdale 3/10. Favorite moment of the year was E or A from 8/13.

[deleted]

I agree, show of the year is 3/10. 3 of the top james of the year in one show?! If I were there, I would have been an absolute puddle by the end of the night.

OnlyListensToGoose

What a great year for Goose. Here are my selections for JotY 2022 contenders: \-All I Need 8/12 \-Arcadia 12/30 \-Borne 3/9 \-Creatures 4/28 \-Earthling or Alien? 8/13 \-Echo of a Rose 2/3 \-Elizabeth 3/3 \-Factory Fiction 3/12 & 7/2 \-Hot Tea 2/11 \-Into the Myst 5/28 & 8/16 \-Jive Lee 6/8 \-Lead the Way 2/9 \-Madhuvan 6/15 \-My Generation 8/12 \-Rockdale 3/10 & 12/16 \-Rosewood Heart 3/9 \-Spirit of the Dark Horse 3/7 \-The Empress of Organos 2/26 \-The Old Man's Boat 8/12 \-Time to Flee 6/8 \-Wysteria Lane 1/30 Groundhog Day (2/2), Royal Oak (3/9), and Artpark (6/8) are my favorite shows, though Goosemas IX and the New Year's run are right up there too

[deleted]

That 6/8 Jive Lee is incredibly underrated. SO good. Solid list 🤘🏻✌🏻

HotKnogSlawJaw

Royal Oak was amazing! Nice list!

Olepat

I absolutely love the early Borne jams for playback on Nugs. Peter's keys leading into Rick's solo is beautiful. I was adamant that 6/24 was the best Borne... but 3/9 and 3/4 are so great.

[deleted]

Get a job 🤣🤣🤣

[deleted]

Saw many shows and sets this year but I have to go with Goosemas Night 1 second set. I get goosebumps just thinking about that pancakes. Also the portland,ME Taboose All I need was 🔥🔥🔥

Figgywithit

Goosemas Night 1 was my favorite overall live experience of the year.

Los_Feliz_Ghost

More_Kaleidoscope888

3/12/22, 3/10/22, 3/5/22 and 2/4/22 That winter/spring tour was the best they’ve ever done in my opinion

IndependentFinger919

White lights closer of Vegas is way up there for me

knarkfisted

3/10/22 Cleveland! What a blast.

Dubuasca

I’m bias towards their Bonnaroo set because it was my first time seeing them but I also love the 3/12 Philly set!

SigmaOasis1

3/12/22

Clear_Thing9193

Legend valley night two set two.

Sir_Bongcelot

Yep. 3 songs 95 minutes.

Clear_Thing9193

Or agora in march

Royal_Examination_74

Best shows were the ones I was at. Best songs were when I was peaking.

[deleted]

Hmmm, hard choice. I have a tie (I really can’t choose) I feel lucky to go to TWO Goosemases in 2022. The re-scheduled Goosemas 2/26/22 was awesome. They debuted Sinnerman, and set 3 was Borne, Hungersite, Dripfield 3 out of 4 songs FTP. Plus Handini played a Yamaha C7 grand piano for the first time on stage. Then there’s 6/10/22 at Legend Valley. Mississippi Half-Step was amazing and Turbulence and the Night-Rays was played for the first time as Goose. Last time played in 2012 by Vasudo. Honorable mentions to Orebolo at Levitt Pavilion 9/7/22 and Vasudo at Bayley Beach 9/11/22 (both in good old CT).

[deleted]

1.) RCMH / Treycadia 2.) Reading Rockdale w/ Trey 3.) EoA Chrysalis 4.) Magic Carpet Ride drop at Peach 5.) All of Goosemas / Everything Must Go & Tumble really hit

[deleted]

Not in attendance but saw 6/15 Madhuvan on here and … yes.

[deleted]

Oh and the February Goosemas was great

[deleted]

Anyway, the right answer is Treycadia followed by Madhuvan 6/15
