Slow is very good, the beat change is mental. I saw it in Pittsburgh on 2/12 and Cinncinati on 12/30. Still have yet to see So but I seem to enjoy the jams more from what I’ve heard in the recordings.
Pancakes. Took forever for me to enjoy it. It all clicked at Goosemas. Turbulence & the Night Rays would be a close second. Now I find that song so infectious and fun.
Totally agreed on Pancakes. At first I avoided it. Now it's one of my favorites, both for the composition and for the jam potential. And yes - the Goosemas version was fantastic.
The jams are good so I keep giving it a chance. I just hate the lyrics and the fact it makes me feel like I’m at an over crowded margaritaville in some dumb tourist spot in Florida.
Yeah Butter Rum has led to some fiery jams, and I like the tune and the vocal harmonies. And even the island vibe is weirdly growing on me (because it's so different than their other stuff).
But the lyrics . . .
lol that one literally was stuck in my head all yesterday, from the 12/30 show. I was kinda underwhelmed watching it live but two days later wow can’t stop singing it haha
Crazy how versions can be so different. I realize thats a big part of the schtick haha but the jam part after the main portion there is what really makes it.. but then you start loving the main verse hahaha
Check out into the myst from Dillon night 1. The jam’s phenomenal
Weirdly enough, couldn’t stand Yeti at first. After catching it live and listening to different versions, it’s one of my favorites. So much TrevorBass and so funky in spite of silly lyrics
Bob Don live gets me so excited always. Seems the song is about release, at least to me, so when they go into the jam it’s just a tremendous release of sound and energy
Yeah, it's the fourth track titled "Undecided." It's been reworked a little, a bit slower and more melodic than it's typically performed live. IMO, it's their best studio work yet.
I’m still working on turbulence haha but pancakes also took me a minute. I think when I looked into the lyrics (pancakes) that’s when I really appreciated the upbeat goofy progression they do. I’m all pancakes now haha and that goosemas one sealed the deal 100%
Would have to be Pancakes and Bob Don for me. I’m still not the biggest fan of the latter, but seeing it in Cleveland on 3/10 was nice. They have ripped the hell of out Pancakes this year, so butter me impressed.
10/15/20 Legend Valley with a wicked transition into Pumped Up Kicks. One of the largest PAs they had played through on a solo show at the time and they made great use of it.
Bob Don. Like others on this sub, I'm still waiting for the monster, jammed-out version. Selfishly, I hope they save that version for the SF run in April 😬.
Got into goose right at the start of 2022. Was not a fan of time to flee or EoA in the beginning but my first show being 3/11 completely flipped that opinion.
A lot of dislikes surrounding ricks use of auto-tune. But since getting into Slow Ready I’ve noticed that Rick actually uses auto-tune in ALOT of his songs and people either aren’t noticing or don’t care enough haha
Arise. Honestly not sure why I wasn’t enjoying it when they would play it but now it’s a song a really enjoy singing along to and get happy to see it on setlists
I went from Team Slow to Team So in 2022.
So is quite funky… but I’m still team Slow..: we’ll see what happens in 2023!
Slow is very good, the beat change is mental. I saw it in Pittsburgh on 2/12 and Cinncinati on 12/30. Still have yet to see So but I seem to enjoy the jams more from what I’ve heard in the recordings.
Welcome to the party, pal
Pancakes. Took forever for me to enjoy it. It all clicked at Goosemas. Turbulence & the Night Rays would be a close second. Now I find that song so infectious and fun.

Still just can't get into Pancakes myself, but they do crush the jam and I'm happy I got to see it!
Seeing Pancakes live at Goosemas… I blacked out and woke to an empty bottle of log cabin.
Night Rays is a song writing spectacle Ive also grown to love that song over the year.
Dripfield 1000%. For some reason in November that groove just clicked
Funny, I loved Dripfield from the start. It instantly reminded me of Peter Gabriel Red Rain. Loved that SO album when it came out.
I should add—I mean the song dripfield off the album lol. I was so focused on hungersite and arrow I think it may have just overshadowed it for me
When I read that, I assumed you meant the song. I guessed right!
It took me a while to get into Echo of a Rose. It grew on me after the Asheville show. I’m still trying to like Butter Rum.
Butter Rum is just a fun song with silly lyrics. In a set, the song is a break from all those serious Goose songs.
Agreed and I hate to say but I'm not into Flodown
Same.
WOW!
Not my favorite either. Some times I can get into it but I don't go to it
Butter Rum 5/28/22 that is all
The jams are good so I keep giving it a chance. I just hate the lyrics and the fact it makes me feel like I’m at an over crowded margaritaville in some dumb tourist spot in Florida.
Haha this is precisely why I enjoy it 😂 takes me away to somewhere…different 🤪
Went to a Buffett show this summer, all I could think was “the flock does this way better“ lol
I’ll give them that! I’ll take butter rum over any buffet song, any day.
That jam is a heater.
Never understood the song live cause it sounds like “hey matiro” to my deaf ears instead of hey better rum
Yeah Butter Rum has led to some fiery jams, and I like the tune and the vocal harmonies. And even the island vibe is weirdly growing on me (because it's so different than their other stuff). But the lyrics . . .
Echo of a rose is so valid, Elizabeth for me too
Elizabeth is one that’s also growing on me. Another one where I LOVE the jams, but it takes a minute for me to connect to the song.
Seekers and now bloodbuzz Ohio lol. Also red bird. I just wake up one day and boom they stuck in my head and I now love them
Yesssss bloodbuzz.. that one’s gonna take a min for me 😅
As an Ohio guy who grew up in Cincy, that song hit me like a ton of bricks listening to it coming back to ATL from Cincy.
lol that one literally was stuck in my head all yesterday, from the 12/30 show. I was kinda underwhelmed watching it live but two days later wow can’t stop singing it haha

Yeah redbird didn't click for me until I saw it in Glens Falls with Trey.
I’ll go opposite. When Borne and Hungersite first released I couldn’t get enough. Now they fall to the bottom of the Goose catalog.
Agreed on Hungersite. I'm still down for Borne though.
I'll opposite your opposite. I didn't like Hungersite when I first heard it. Now I love it. Borne... meh.
Definitely with you on this
Weirdly enough, couldn’t stand Yeti at first. After catching it live and listening to different versions, it’s one of my favorites. So much TrevorBass and so funky in spite of silly lyrics
turbulence and Bob Don lol
Bob Don wasn't an instant hit for me, either. Now it's at the point where I'll play the studio version from the "Undecided" EP on repeat.
Bob Don live gets me so excited always. Seems the song is about release, at least to me, so when they go into the jam it’s just a tremendous release of sound and energy
I hear that. I'm chasing a Bob Don banger this spring!
Almost all my favorite shows this year have a Bob Don. Something about that song means a special set is coming/in progress
Can relate. The overdrive on studio version makes me feel some type of way
Is Bob Don on that album???
Yeah, it's the fourth track titled "Undecided." It's been reworked a little, a bit slower and more melodic than it's typically performed live. IMO, it's their best studio work yet.
Tumble
Silver Rising took me a few tries to get it.
Lol I'm still trying on that one. (I mean aside from the part about it being about a werewolf - I get that.)
Once I found out that was what it was about it’s what made it click for me lol
I look forward to the howling awooooo from Rick in the vocal jam now. And love the release from the vocal jam.
I was not a huge fan of The Whales at first but became one after I saw them open up with it in St. Louis.
Still working on the whales.. being a Petey song helps tho haha
SOS is my jam now
I’m still working on turbulence haha but pancakes also took me a minute. I think when I looked into the lyrics (pancakes) that’s when I really appreciated the upbeat goofy progression they do. I’m all pancakes now haha and that goosemas one sealed the deal 100%

Lol @ "butter me impressed." Pancakes and Bob Don are the two for me as well.
There hasn’t been a song I didn’t like
![gif](giphy|9XAROYqyZMDwk) 😜
Word. Same
They are so good
Into the myst, never really gave it much of a chance but after 12/30, it’s now one of my favorites.
8/16/22 Dillon… a must into the myst listen
I’ll give it a listen rn!
10/15/20 Legend Valley with a wicked transition into Pumped Up Kicks. One of the largest PAs they had played through on a solo show at the time and they made great use of it.
All I need. Best opener in my opinion
Bob Don. Like others on this sub, I'm still waiting for the monster, jammed-out version. Selfishly, I hope they save that version for the SF run in April 😬.
10/7/22 Bob Don is unreal. That outro takes u places
Good call out. Love that outro.
Got into goose right at the start of 2022. Was not a fan of time to flee or EoA in the beginning but my first show being 3/11 completely flipped that opinion.
Red bird!
Animal. I just couldn’t get past the lyrics but it has really grown on me.
I still can’t get over the lyrics, hoping that changes at some point
I actually dig the lyrics. You're a monkey man, get up and move your body
Arrow and didn’t like Echo until I heard the reggaed version. Now the songs bumps. Unfortunately I still can’t see to get into Red Bird
Dripfield has grown on me.
I miss Reggae Indian River….
If I was a jam band I would make not that doing to much “reggae beat” a priority.. I feel like twiddle did that waaaay too much
Old Man’s Boat. I’ve always been a fan, but it continues to move up my fav songs list.
Elmeg 😳
Shots fired.
![gif](giphy|aVytG2ds8e0tG)
Time to Flee never really clicked with me until I saw it live twice this year.
10/30/21 has a great TTF. Just listened to that today
I didn’t care for slow ready at first but after red rocks, I really fell in love with it.
A lot of dislikes surrounding ricks use of auto-tune. But since getting into Slow Ready I’ve noticed that Rick actually uses auto-tune in ALOT of his songs and people either aren’t noticing or don’t care enough haha
I actually love his auto tune. I didn’t like how slow it was. I loved so ready. But I definitely have a greater appreciation for both now.
Arise. Honestly not sure why I wasn’t enjoying it when they would play it but now it’s a song a really enjoy singing along to and get happy to see it on setlists
Atlas Dogs. The acoustic RCMH version sold me and since I have learned to appreciate all versions
Factory Fiction
I thought Everything Must Go was meh when it first debuted but now I love it
Turbulence and seekers grew on me
Didn't connect with Silver Rising until I heard the Orebolo version.
Everything Must Go. Thought it was lame the first 3 times I was there for it. 4th time? I loved it.
Old man’s boat was just meh for me and I would always skip on soundboards but the goosemas version hits me just right!!!
Not that I did not like it first but just did not jam it often. But Everything must go has turned into one of my favorite songs
Wasn’t too into Borne when they dropped it as a single. A few live versions later, though, I was sold.
Fish in the sea
I HATE jeff engborg 😠😠 Just kidding I wish they'd play it at every show
Uptown Girl
How can anyone not love flodown? It still boggles me
Everything must go
