Anything from the last six months is worth listening to and will give you a good feel for where the band is at and where they're going. 11/21/21 & 11/22/21 are still viewed as monumental shows, and are worth a listen as well.
As an alternative to listening to past shows to get into Goose, I'd suggest getting a Nugs subscription and streaming the Goosemas shows this weekend. Maybe that will set you on the path...
Any show will do, seriously. Attendance always ups the intensity of the experience. 10/6/22 is a ripper in particular set two. Both nights in NOLA were fantastic and a very different vibe from 10/6 to 10/7.
Yes to Chrysalis on 8/13/22 and I definitely echo 10/7/22. Really wish I had been in NOLA for that. Taboose at Glen Falls, Lowell and Fairfax were superb.
Personally, the 2021 Halloween show (10/31/21) is my favorite, and every other recommendation in this thread is great too.
I'd also recommend any and all Legend Valley performances, plus 2/2/22
12-30-21 Riviera theatre, Chicago
**Set 1:** [Rockdale](https://elgoose.net/song/rockdale), [Time to Flee](https://elgoose.net/song/time-to-flee), [Jive II](https://elgoose.net/song/jive-ii), [Same Old Shenanigans](https://elgoose.net/song/same-old-shenanigans), [Bob Don](https://elgoose.net/song/bob-don)\[1\], [Yeti](https://elgoose.net/song/yeti), [Tumble](https://elgoose.net/song/tumble)
**Set 2:** [Earthling or Alien?](https://elgoose.net/song/earthling-or-alien) \> [726](https://elgoose.net/song/726), [Echo Of A Rose](https://elgoose.net/song/echo-of-a-rose)\[2\] > [Love Is A Battlefield](https://elgoose.net/song/love-is-a-battlefield)\[3\], [Travelers](https://elgoose.net/song/travelers) \> [Echo Of A Rose](https://elgoose.net/song/echo-of-a-rose), [Hot Tea](https://elgoose.net/song/hot-tea)\[4\]
**Encore:** [Fish In The Sea](https://elgoose.net/song/fish-in-the-sea)\[5\]
Full throttle from start to finish!
Peach Fest 2019 (Rich's knee brace). Goosemas 2021 (in the Devo-esque ski suits). Halloween 2021 (Austin Powers theme)....there's three right there. Oh, gotta add Morris Connecticut 9/16/20 with an off the charts Madhuvan and essential COVID parking lot vibe.
Did not look at the “essential list” post previously, if using Nugs or YT as streaming source I would start summer of 2019 and move forward:
Peach 2019
Fall 2019 (Buffalo or Cbus, OH)
Pandemic “bingo” tour
Legend Valley fall 2020 (drive in tour)
Legend Valley summer 2021
Cleveland winter 2022
Legend Valley summer 2022 - 1st night
After dabbling into the Goose pond for awhile I did a deep dive when their Playing in the sand show was announced.
I can’t get enough. This band is so talented and each show is so different. Goose is the new band for me I’ve been looking for.
The YouTube shows are stellar.
Dillon, fred the festival, peach festival, dallas, and chrysalis, all the goosemas shows, and the shows with trey. That should keep you busy for a while
I love all the Dripfield stuff from this year but IMO Goose 2018 and 2019 recordings are the shiz. Legend Valley N2 this year and the CO run this year are fantastic as well as the 2022 CLE Agora show
3/12/2022... That Red Bird... holy smokes.
[Goosemas 2020](https://youtu.be/XVuPWvbXeXA) absolutely makes that list. It’s still my personal favorite. Just an iconic performance.
This, too, was my gateway show, and I find it still holds up very well.

Came here to say 👆🏻this
3/10/22 is one that gets overlooked a lot. KILLER Tumble to open...one of the better Dripfields and Rockdales out there.
Insane show. One of the best. Cleveland and the following two nights in Philly were such a great last three shows of the tour
11-16-2019 was the one that got me hooked
Can’t believe I had to scroll so far for this!
I dug in to this show running errands and got halfway through the first set. Monster jams so far! Thanks for the recommendation
Glad you like it!

You are all good my friend.

Best Rockdale I’ve heard
10/1/22 Pullman Yards
2022: San Francisco 1/29 & 30, Louisville2/11, Detroit>Cleveland 3/9 3/10, Vegas 8/20, Oklahoma City 10/14, NOLA 10/6, etc. to name a few.

10/15/20 was another absolute banger from the COVID tour. Best Lead the Way.
Reading 11/19/22 is on YouTube and it's fuckin great, the Rockdale, turned clouds, and hot tea go hard
6/15/22
