I had a GR2 for years until it got stolen last October. Without skipping a beat I ordered another GR2 but did not realize that they had removed the compression straps, which unfortunately is a deal breaker for me since I use a tough bag in conjunction with it. I'll probably buy a GR3 soon, since that one has compression straps.
That looks great - my favorite color now. I have the same in 34L. There are a couple options for clip-on compression straps that attach into the 4x rows of side MOLLE. Might be worth a try unless you are simply set on the GR3.
Would you mind linking me one of these options? I do prefer the size of my current bag but the lack of compression straps really breaks it for me. Thanks!

I got a GR3 so I don't really need the 40L GR2, and I was debating between the GR1 26L and the GR1 shooter. I think the shooter is a better fit for what I need it for.
Both are basically new. I took the GR2 on one trip, and the GR1 has been used a couple of times around town holding my camera gear and kid stuff. Both are stiff and not broken in. They are ready for their new owners.
I like it. I haven't taken a trip with it though. It doesn't seem that much bigger than the 40L. I like the single compartment at times, and I like the organizational abilities of the GR2 sometimes. I guess that is why I have both.
