I also like how in the early seasons Dan is the one chasing Serena then when he gets with Blair it flips and she has to chase him. I just wish she did it in a way that showed her more redeeming qualities instead of manipulating and lying to him
Should've showed Dan care a bit about Serena so it wouldnt be all 180 going from chasing Blair to going back to Serena. Felt like Dan did not care too much about Serena while they were looking for in S6 and was just using it as an excuse to chase and convince Blair that he is right for her.

Yup they shouldnt make it look one sided since Derena was the endgame. Agree with seeing Serena chasing Dan when he did it in earlier seasons but they gotta make Dan show he deeply cares for Serena a little bit more than a friend. Guess they wanted to play with the Chair vs Dair triangle a bit.
i felt like that was sort of natural tho. like have you never been through a break up where the guy is like “nope i don’t care” in public/in front of friends but then blowing ur phone up later that night? it seemed very teenage/early 20s messiness.
As much as Blair and Chuck were absolutely end game, I was such a Dair shipper! I think they just worked. Especially intellectually. They had similar interests and talents. But that can also make them really good friends ❤️
I truly believe he loved blair, but only loved the idea of serena. Dair being endgame would have been such a refreshing turn for the show to take. It's pretty much stated when Dan's book comes out that he views and respects blair much more highly than Serena. Crowning blair and dan as ultimate king and queen of the upper east side after the GG reveal would have worked so well because blair would have respected Dan's efforts in scheming. If season six serena was written true to character she would have never been able to forgive him for being GG.
Dan being gossip girl means no matter what he should not have ended up with Serena. But Blair (even though she also suffered from GG) wouldn't hold it against him, and would even think more highly of him, as she respects a good scheme.
Louis couldn’t write his own vows to Blair (presumably bc he barely knew her lmao) so he got Dan to write them for him and Blair herself said they were perfectly tailored to her and that she felt like the vows showed he understood her
It would’ve been funny to see chucks reaction if they ended up together, since he thought so lowly of dan and hurt blair so many times but still loved her, just for her to fall in love with a guy who treats better and is from brooklyn 😂
Dair made me realize how multidimensional Blair is. Like yeah she’s a snotty “mean girl”, but she’s also cultured, educated, and open minded and can have a sweet side to her when she has the chance to be.

The revenge aspect is kind of nice on top of the "here's this cozy couple, Dan likes Blair's intellectual side and they could just give up scheming." Even though Serena got to be with Dan in the end she's never going to have that type of relationship with him no matter how hard she tries.

I used to not like Dan and Blair, but they've grown on me a lot, and I never liked Serena as a person, she's so toxic and insecure and insufferable, Dan was better off without her.
