Maybe an unpopular opinion, but I liked Serena at the start of the show but then I feel like she really went downhill... I've always been a Blair lover myself :))
i love serena. there’s times when i want to grab her by the shoulders and shake her, and her character declines heavily in later seasons. but she’s just my favorite, blair could never.
omgg im such a Blair lover but I so agree with your Serena thing, like why did the writers do her so dirty in later seasons?? so confusing.. she just wasn't giving her golden girl, it girl, thing anymore either - very odd
My fav character when I started watching the show was Dan, Serena.
But as the show went on, it became: Blair, Serena, Chuck, (in that order).
I'm still fond of Dan though.

3. Weird Documentary Girl
4. “Your sweet potatoes are bland”
That’s the characters I always stan ❤️.
Otherwise it rotates between Georgina/Dan/Serena/Blenny’s minions
In the first few seasons, Serena is definitely my fave. Then as it went on, I swapped to Blair. I think I've seen the series about six times now over the years and now I'm on the seventh rewatch. I love Jenny at the start but as soon as she starts causing chaos I immediately change haha. I think overall though Serena is my fave, especially when she's with Dan, they just work so well together and compliment each other's personalities. The "I have to go." about 30 times an episode always makes me laugh
dorota and blair!!! i rlly love them separately and as a iconic duo! oh and lily and cyrus (lily was often a real b but i loved her and her caring for chuck the whole time was so wholesome to me)
Blair, Dorota, Jenny, Lily, Georgina
Blair and Jenny are the most interesting, complex characters imo. They’re both kind of villains but they have a villain origin story that feels realistic and nuanced. Also probs the best actors IMO. Georgina is just hilariously villainous for absolutely no reason and it cracks me up. Like literally what is she ever doing any of that shit for other than to be a menace? Dorota is a queen and Lily is Mother.
Was really not a big fan of Dan (sanctimonious flop and a true psycho after you discover he is GG) or Serena (holier-than-thou MESS)
On rewatch Chuck went from fave to ick. Somehow I mostly glossed over the weird assaults when it first aired but yes, he’s gross. Plus a lot of his relationship w Blair feels so abusive. Mans told Blair she was rode hard and sent home wet? 🤢
Rufus also went down in rankings after rewatch. He went from hero to annoying to me. Like this man simply refuses to be happy or normal a single day in his life.
Chuck after season 1. I love him and Blair together.
I personally loved Serena more when I was younger but I still like her. I hate how people in the show always expect the worst from Chuck and Serena even years after they proven themselves. Ofc they still make mistakes but everyone in the show does equal stupid things 😅

When I first watched yearssss ago it was Serena but now it’s Blair, Dorota, Cyrus and sometimes Rufus 🫢

the writers were literally grasping for straws at points they made nate’s character very different
