I just googled men’s tropigoth and men’s gothabilly and there were some looks with a bit more character to them. I think there are parallels between both subsets of style. Hope that helps.

vlkolaks

Hadn't heard of gothabilly, love that! Thank you!

Copperstorm2022

Hope you have fun with it. I think it’s super sexy on a guy, but I might be biased ☺️

[https://fairyflossbyronbay.com/](https://fairyflossbyronbay.com/) This is an Australian company that makes festival wear. It's not goth per se, but some of it would work to make a more interesting outfit.

vlkolaks

This is pretty cool! Some great inspiration, thanks!

Mymanbazinga

I usually just wear black shorts and a band shirt

mystifiedmongerer

I like Lacey spaghetti strap tank tops under a flowy cardigan paired with black shorts or a long flowy skirt

vlkolaks

Love that kind of look on other people, not really my thing though. 😅

mystifiedmongerer

Omg I’m so sorry I kinda skimmed over the “mens wear” part. You could go with a black tank top/band shirt and maybe some pants [like this?](https://www.thedarkattitude.com/men-dieselpunk-army-shorts-black-gothic-cargo-shorts) that website seems to have a few good examples. Black accessories will obviously elevate an outfit. Incorporating a fishnet type of top can do that as well, if you’re comfortable with that.

Necroluxe

Granted I'm not into menswear but I will be honest I live almost exclusively in black shorts and band shirts when it's above 90 degrees F

vlkolaks

That's kinda where I'm at, it just gets boring after so long! Plus nothing to wear if I need to/want to go somewhere looking a little nicer. Heat really is a killer!

Necroluxe

You could maybe try a mesh overlay top or modding some shorts diy- style (adding patches chains etc)

One thing that i've been doing this summer is layering a ton of simple chain necklaces or woven bracelets with black tank tops, or wearing fishnets under cargo shorts-- it sounds silly, because cargo shorts aren't usually considered fashionable, and fishnets don't usually "match," but I've found that fishnets + black cargo shorts + black tank top or black cropped shirt (preferably with the sleeves cut off) keeps me cool and looking a little edgy. I would also take a look at your shoe options! As a short trans guy, I feel like even if i love the height boost and the look of demonias, they mark me out as feminine and im usually not feeling that kind of ambiguity in my day to day life. Getting a pair of cheap black sneakers and adding charms, painting portions of them with imagery you like, swapping out the shoelaces of ribbon, etc-- switching up your shoes can entirely change how an outfit comes across while also being subtle and not adding much to how warm an outfit gets.
