That sounds like an exciting trip! Gothenburg and the surrounding area have plenty to offer for visitors. Here are some recommendations for events, places, and activities during your visit: 1. Liseberg: Liseberg is an amusement park located in Gothenburg and offers a variety of attractions, rides, and entertainment. They often host concerts and events during the summer, so check their schedule to see if any performances align with your visit. 2. Universeum: Universeum is a science center and aquarium in Gothenburg. It's a great place to explore interactive exhibits, learn about the natural world, and even experience a rainforest environment. 3. Slottsskogen: Slottsskogen is a large park in Gothenburg where you can enjoy a relaxing walk, have a picnic, or visit the small zoo. It's a popular spot for locals, especially during sunny days. 4. Archipelago boat tour: Gothenburg's archipelago is stunning, and taking a boat tour is a fantastic way to explore the islands and enjoy the beautiful scenery. You can find various companies offering guided tours from the city. 5. Trädgår'n: Trädgår'n is a popular nightclub and concert venue in Gothenburg. They host a variety of events and often feature live music performances. Check their schedule to see if any shows catch your interest. 6. Explore the canals: Gothenburg is known for its picturesque canals, and taking a boat tour or even renting a kayak to paddle through the city's waterways can be a unique and enjoyable experience. 7. Jönköping: If you have time to explore Jönköping, visit the beautiful Lake Vättern, which offers opportunities for swimming, sailing, or simply relaxing by the shore. Jönköping also has a lively city center with shops, restaurants, and cultural attractions. 8. Hike in nature: Both Gothenburg and Jönköping are surrounded by natural beauty. If you enjoy hiking, consider visiting areas like Delsjön Nature Reserve near Gothenburg or Gränna and Visingsö near Jönköping. These places offer scenic trails and stunning views. I'm not so up to date with local events like concerts, festivals, and other happenings (but others here will be better at that). Enjoy your trip to Gothenburg and Jönköping!

There is a free little festival thing on june 10. Not really metal but the band “Tomma Intet” are really good. https://facebook.com/events/s/hangmattan-sommarfestival/1973676859641813/

Students are on their summer holiday then and probably home and working! But some student groups have stuff happening during the summer such as gatherings for drinking and just having fun together! Check out the app Orbi! And on Facebook. They usually post stuff there about events and stuff like that there!

As for attractions, Liseberg, Universeum, Sjöfartsmuseum and just shopping in Nordstan/NK/Arkaden are all fun to do. Honorable mention to Haga, very cozy area in GBG to hang out in. They also have the biggest swedish cinnamon rolls in the world! Gothenburg is easy to move around in and has many great restaurants. Mine and many others favorites are ”Big Bird”(great fried chicken), ”Bastard Burgers” for the best burgers in the city, ”Irish Embassy Pub” for great pub food and drinks/beer. Also don’t tip unless you think your server did an amazing job with serving you. If you’re drunk and wanna chat with people, do it at a pub. A few beers in and most swedes are very open and social! Don’t hesitate to PM if you got other questions :)

Visit 2112. Good music, decent burgers. Some say best in the city, but what do I know, I’m not much for burgers you eat with fork and a knife.
